What would be the explanation for this?
Some persons could have fear of healing techniques ...
Others would insult every and any individual that could display some of the characteristics of healers!

I have been in the "healing" profession for decades (Chiropractor) and many people are afraid that they could be subjected to charlatans who only want their money...

And, sad to say... it is not without foundation... there are many charlatans and quacks out there who only try to take advantage of people... and, nobody wants to be taken for a fool...

indeed that there are people with no honor.

but fearing attracts that wich you fear.
so in the long run you are bound to come across a charlatan.

i hope the following wil help you:

the truth about fear is that fear is a response that goes deeper then just a chemical body proccess.
it exists in your entire being.

why?
because fear is a part of ourself, we are it`s creator.
but that also means that we as it`s creator have the abillity to control it.

it`s not easy, that i won`t deny.

but if you keep in mind that you control your own fear instead of the other way around.
turning fear into strength.

nothing can be born from fear besides of the learning experience of controling it.
for the rest, fear will stop your growth, it will make you do crazy stuff, if you give into it.

when you understand something you can use it.
i don`t know much to reffer you too, besides of a silly one.

an episode of bleach where a person was told that his strength was being kept down by fear.

anime yes, but still a nice concept, your strength as a person in total is being kept down as you feel that fear as you explained.

face your fears when you have learned enough about them.

then a guideline i have:

if you encounter people that ask money for anything relating energy and the like, avoid them.

no money can buy a sane mind, and a well working being.
if someone offers and asks nothing in return, then at least that person has sense of honor.

shamou, you are a chiropractor, it`s your proffession so that`s a different thing.

but the bottom line is to never get involved with people that live on greed.
