Like what? What is your dog doing? Dogs do have astral sight, among other skills....

LOL! I think I was freaking myself out last night. Had been reading about Incubus and Succubus stories when my dog started barking at the air. I would get up to see what he was barking at but nothing would be there. He's old poor guy so I figure he's just going senile. Or could it have been something else?! <<<chilling music begins now>>>

I have a small story to tell... there was a street that i used to take my dog for a walk every day... on that street among other houses was a big red old house.... every time we got to that house, my dog stopped and refused to move on...we had to cross the street to pass that house. it went on for years.
i once had a discussion with my family about it and my granny said that during WW2 there had been a meat factory in the basement of that house... where they used human meat......

dogs obviously sense something we cant..but what exactly i have no clue.
what i have noticed however is that they pick up on their owner`s feelings very well. i have a new dog now who isnt very well socialized yet... she tends to growl and bark at people who im not comfortable around with.... on the other hand, if we meet with some people who are good friends to me, she`s very calm.... her behaviour is very connected to my emotional state... yesterday we were sitting in park when a drunk came to ask me a cigarette... he was so drunk that he literally fell on me.... my dog did NOTHING... i was shocked... i expected her to bite him..... later i figured out that she didnt do anything because i was so relaxed and didnt get upset at the guy.

dogs rock

Cool story thanks for sharing Miia. You are so right about dogs going with their master's feelings. We are all connected.

I know someone who has a dog that will not walk across his kitchen floor. The dog will only get to the other side by cautiously walking the perimeter of the room tightly against the wall and hurdling chairs to get across the room. Odd behavior I'd say.

Maybe the dog can see/sense a 'something' sitting on the kitchen floor
The dog we have now is the first to have 'sight' that I have witnessed.
She fixates on the ceiling above where I sit and the chair next to me and the front door (along only one wall in the room).
My kids got spooked by it so I told them it was 'Fred' our house ghost who leaves the doors open and so on.
There are no reflections from the tv or computer or other so spooks are the only thing I can think of.
She is a lapdog ( even though she is too big ) but more so on the onset of the fullmoon.
You will find this interesting..my oldest child was in one of the chairs with the dog one night and made a smart comment about the spirit world and had something run through her body and the dog. The dog growled and its fur stood on end and my daughter was freaked by it.

So I think dogs definitly pick up on spirit presence

"Human meat factory" ??? Wow, sounds like the basis for a horror story!

BTW - what city and street is this?

I know right....

I first thought that it was some old wives tale..but granny said it really happened, it had been in the newspapers etc...someone had found scalps and they started investigating.

the house is on Kastani street, Tartu, Estonia

I guess horrible things happen during war...

My dog (my other dog years ago) saved me from falling wooden planks one day. I was walking in the street, and he suddenly wouldn't walk anymore and pulled me across the road, through traffic and all! As soon as we got to the other side some planks came crashing down from building work going on at a house where we would have walked if he hadn't forced me to cross over.
Maybe he heard something start to happen as the wood dislodged?
But I didn't and I have excellent hearing....and he had started to go a bit deaf at that point....

I truly believe dogs can sense ghosts or see things that we cannot.

One time, I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and cleaning up when I saw my dog in the living room looking up at the fireplace and growling. He then started moving a little bit sideways while still looking up as if he was following something. He seemed so focused. I have no clue what he was growling at but it freaked me out a bit.

That dog I was talking about developed prostate cancer. The vet said to put him to sleep. But he seemed so full of life and energy that I said to wait a while.
Well during those last 2 weeks of his life...actually it was 3 days before he died, he suddenly jumped up from his bed and started wagging his tail crazily, with joy! He was staring up into the room, and making noises he made when he was excited and greeting someone. I spoke to him and he ignored me, like he was just too intent on whatever he was seeing. His nose was wet, his eyes were bright, he looked so happy. This lasted about 10 minutes. His gaze was focused on something about human height.
I know he saw something or someone very real.

Yeah, dog's do sense spirits. They are a reliable spirit barometer
Just don't make her go down into the basements with you if she is nervous.
