i am yet to experience Astral Projection, i get as far as slight vibrations and slowly seeing visions but then fade away quickly , more practice is needed.
i got the book Astal Dynamics by Steve Bruce, i'd advise anyone wanting to do this to get this book.

i wanted to have an OBE to explore, the outer world to find myself spiritually , to speak to my guides to meet them and see distant relitives and many more things.

My question is:


where has the best place you guys have travelled too..?
any intresting stories to tell.?

i don't have any personal experiences but robert bruce said that he went to the moon (during astral projection of course) and went to the dark side of the moon and saw alien bases that are still active to this day.
When i'll be astral projecting, i'll go check it out myself

I will be interested to read the replies and see where everyone has gone.

I have been attempting to astral project for a couple of years now. No luck yet. In a session with a psychic medium I was told that in a past life I was an Egyptian and involved with a group who did astral projection. I guess that we invaded people's privacy and did stuff we weren't supposed to do so therefore I am struggling more than what would be typical.

Astral projection is something I stumbled on accidentally. Well actually, I'd been doing it for years and didn't realize what was going on until I had some rather profound and strange experiences and decided to research what was going on. These experiences happened after I started meditating and things got...um...intense, to say the least.

My first absolute experience that I would consider OBE after being aware of what was going on was basically just floating up into my ceiling, through my attic, and over my yard through the sky. I thought I was dreaming, as I do lucid dream from time to time, and I remember seeing these two streams of smoke rising from my neighbor's yard and seeing the cows in the dairy behind my house. Suddenly things became less realistic and I think I began dreaming at that point, traveling through some areas I've never seen before and with people I've never met.

Soon after I woke up, I went outside to feed my horses and noticed that my neighbors were burning two piles of leaves in their yard...then it dawned on me what must have happened and I was like .

Another more realistic thing that's happened is being right in the beginnings of coming out of my body, seeing my husband in black and white stand in the doorway of my bedroom then suddenly everything went very bright white and I woke up very quickly and startled. Sure enough he was standing in the bedroom door and laughed at me for waking up so abruptly and violently. LOL.

The strangest thing about that was that he sounded and felt as if he was coming from a complete other place. Like I was seeing him and hearing him through a filter. It's hard to explain.

Some other experiences are harder to actually define as OBE because of the fantastical nature. I'm thinking IF they were out of body, they would be considered actual astral projection. One night, one of the very first of these experiences, I felt myself come out of my body with the very intense buzzing. Sat up and looked back to see myself laying behind me. So I thought COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!! IMMA GO SOMEWHERE and decided to go and look for a friend that I'd talked about this with many times. I remember flying in the dark and ending up in this marketplace like area where everyone was dressed almost Victorian style. There was another person there that helped me look for my friend, who actually turned out to be an angry little (please excuse the politically incorrect term here...I mean no offense at ALL) midget who was a bartender at a pub in this market place. LOL. He wouldn't speak with me. It was really strange and so realistic, but as if I was in a complete different time. I've wondered sometimes if I peeked into a past life of his. lol.

Another odd experience was rather spiritual recently. I was having some emotional difficulties and actually was able to induce the OBE, which is unusual for me. Most of the time it just happens unexpected. Well, I asked just to go where I needed to go to get through these issues. Suddenly it was like being launched into space, I asked for clarity, and I could see the dark and these beautifully colored star like orbs around me. I had to cross my arms and close my eyes because I could literally FEEL my stomach sinking from the momentum. That's something I don't exactly understand because I thought an astral body has no weight.

Anyway, I first ended up above a neighborhood of some sort. I could hear people talking through the roofs, see cars in driveways, and then heard the name of a friend mentioned very clearly (same friend I often discuss these things with), at which point I startled and seemed to zip back into my body. I woke up and intended to OBE again and the same thing happened with the super insane hyperspace launching. LOL.

THIS TIME, I ended up at this station of some sort with these cabins. There were people sitting around, waiting for access to these little cabins, and as I walked through opening the doors to each one, there was a person inside sitting in the dark. There was no one to tell me what this place was, but I knew beyond a doubt that this was like a healing place. These people were sort of cleaning out their old bad energies before they could move on. It was really strange.

SO THEN, I walk over to the side of these cabins and I'm looking around at everything, fields around them and then forest on the outside and suddenly this pack of like...AIR wolves...runs around me. They came from the forest on one side, through a field, ran around me, and back through another field and into the forest on the other side. There was this dark colored man who I assumed was native american standing in very casual dress of a short sleeve collar shirt and blue jeans who I knew was kind of in charge there. I asked him where the wolves were going, and he pointed without saying anything and basically mentally told me to this friend and I should follow.

Anyway, I told the friend about it and described the man, after which he sent me a picture of a healer that he is very fond of that I'm quite certain was him. Since then, this friend has helped me to resolve much in my life and been very supportive and kind. I think I got some kind of message to continue this relationship because it is healthy. lol. WHO KNOWS!!

The last one that I remember well was rising above my body and feeling something looking at me, looked over in the corner and there was this black figure with red eyes just staring at me...kind of watching me. I just stared back. I've seen it before but not so detailed, in my bedroom, just kind of lurking in corners. Hmmmm...I don't think it means any harm or anything, I just think it's watching me.

So there are some of my experiences. I can't say what are real and what are not, but I can say that the ones I consider astral or OBE come with actual physical symptoms of vibrating, feeling myself rise out, and many times actually witnessing events that happen in the physical world as well as where ever I am.

Oh, I've found the easiest time to consciously do this is when you wake up from a deep sleep and then return back to sleep. Just focus on your energy in your body as you're trying to go back to sleep. It just kind of happens...hard to explain.

Sorry for the novel! I've been dying to share this with somebody besides the person I bombard with my dreams and astral stuff. LOL!

OH! Also something I've noticed is when I am in what I feel is more of an out of body state and not astral projection, it's kind of like I'm a ghost. I can walk through things and see things as they are. And then when the travel starts and I go places that I don't really think are part of the physical earth, I'm more solid. I can grab things and touch them. And it's so weird because a lot of these things are only energy themselves, like the wolves.

Y'all probably think I'm crazy right about now!!!! LOL!

LOL! Well, thank you! It IS really cool! It's erratic, though, so don't be jealous. lol! Often it happens when I need some guidance through very difficult things and I beg for some answers. Other times, it seems kind of meaningless, just random popping in and out with no real significant events. lol. STILL FUN THOUGH!

You'll get there! Sometimes when you give up trying to do it, you relax and your body is like...FINALLY...I can get her out of her! LOL! And then all the sudden you'll be like, "OOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGG...Do I think I'm doing what I think I'm doing?"

Also, most of my experiences consist of this: Sitting up, floating through my ceiling, then the rafters in my attic, up above my roof, and then POOF...back in body. LOL. Then rinse and repeat. Not much to the usual ones.
