A lot of weird coincidences/synchronicities..

Hey all.

I'd like your input on some strange coincidences that have been happening lately, which seem to occur as I explore meditation more and more.

I keep seeing 11:11 and 10:01 on clocks. Also 9:18 for some odd reason.

Every time I think of something, it seems to appear in my reality. Just as an example, I decided to get a motorcycle today, and saw an unusual amount of them immediately after, including one filling up at a gas station which I've never seen before. This stuff happens all the time now.

A lot of times, when I think of someone they'll text me or call shortly thereafter. And I sometimes have a song pop in my head and turn on the radio, only to hear it playing. This one happened today, along with the motorcycle example.

This all happens to everyone at some times, but it's happening so much that it's just weird. And it only started happening when I started meditating and becoming more present, like The Power of Now style.

I've heard syncronicities appear in the form of coincidences, which means the universe is giving you signals. I've also heard that seated meditation (zazen) like I do can open up psychic potential. These certainly seem to be happening to some extent, but I'm not convinced.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced these kind of strange coincidences, especially in coordination with some spiritual/psychic practicing, and can give some input on what it means.

Yes, this happens to me in streaks. Usually it doesn't seem to be connected to anything, since I'm usually meditating and trying to live as consciously as I know how, daily. Maybe I'll give seated meditation a try again...I always found it uncomfortable, though, so I usually recline.

The past few weeks my coincidences have been about seeing certain lesser known actors. I remember faces, so I may watch a movie rental or tv show. Then within a day or three, I see the same actor in another movie rent, or in a trailer online, preview at a theater, or at the beginning of a different DVD. You could say, of course, actors are bound to be in other movies, what's the big whoop? But no, this has been happening far more than normal. As has looking at clocks right at the 11th minute of random hours, or when the digits of the minutes add up to 11 (like 1:47).

A former girlfriend used to have crazy coincidi esp. whenever she'd re-read a certain book.

11:11 is now becoming much more common (there are even websites devoted to just this subject that people all over the world are seeing not just 11:11 but also 1:11). I think the reason so many people are seeing 11:11 and even 1:11 (myself included) is due to the fact that not only is more and more light coming to the planet but we are also moving closer and closer to ascension. Eventually you are going to see instant manifestation of your thoughts (although that will be funny cuz just the other day I was sitting in traffic wishing all these cars would just disappear! With instant manifestation where would they all go? How about the phrase I wish this person would just dry up and blow away - that would be funny to see!!)

Anyway, (I love humor) right now with people seeing these specific numbers the universe is trying to gently remind people to watch your thoughts and ONLY think that which you want manifested. I don't think a lot of people realize just how powerful they really are and with thoughts manifesting faster into reality I think the veil of illusion is going to be lifted so much so that there won't be any doubts in peoples minds that they are in charge of their lives and their thoughts really do create their reality. I think a lot of people are still waking up to this fact and I am glad you are seeing these signs cuz they are really powerful reminders of this fact.

As for thinking of something (like motorcycles) and then seeing it - that's is great. Once again, it is a sign that not only are your thoughts creating your reality but that your energy is aligning with your thoughts. For instance, I want to buy a mercedes (of course I need the money first!! lol!!) I now see them ALL the time -many times there are beautiful mercedes right in front of my car. Funny thing is awhile back I actually thought I wanted a lexus and so I saw lexus's everywhere. I'm also a big lottery player and as I visualize and affirm winning big money, not only am I getting lots of numbers correct all the time but I see lottery signs EVERYWHERE. My energy is definetly aligning with this ( and as soon as I win I am buying a mercedes!! and lots of other things). So just keep thinking about what you want and you will get it. Also meditating tends to align your energy, opens your psychic channels more and helps your thoughts manifest faster as well.

It is really strange for sure. I also can't remember faces for anything, oddly enough.

As for seated meditation, it's really uncomfortable for me unless I have a thick cushion. Usually I use two pillows, then it feels a lot better.

@mallie, the idea of our thoughts manifesting instantly is SO interesting! I actually try to play with that idea from time to time.

The other day my friend was taking forever to get ready inside her house (I was outside), so I decided to see if I could "think" her into being outside. The moment I decided she should emerge from her house, she did.

Of course, I tried the same thing in the same situation later, and it didn't work. Someone actually did emerge at that exact moment, but it wasn't her!

It's just so strange. Every time it happens I am reminded to watch my thoughts, and also to align them with what I want.

Fred, that is so funny! Well you know what they say about women - they are never on time! Good luck with the instant manifestation (when it's available) when it comes to women and getting ready/being on time! lol!! Men all over the world will try to speed up women and that should be interesting! And funny!

I used to be skeptical about coincidences, but after reading a lot of people's stories with them and such, it makes you wonder. My coincidences though are related to requests that I have asked to my spirit guides. And it is quite helpful in reassuring. I have seen numbers like 11:11, but I try not to overlook it so much since I see other numbers a lot too especially since I am practicing for lucid dreaming so I am constantly looking at the clock. In fact, I told my spirit guides to not give me any signs or coincidences with numbers because I am too surrounded by it and constantly looking at the clock.

The coolest synchronicity that I had was when I posted a topic in the synchronicity section of this forum and it was about certain signs my spirit guides were giving me. And after my post, I thanked my spirit guides and believed the signs they were giving me and at that moment I looked at my computer clock and saw it was 1:11 and then I had ringing in my ear which I made a pack with my spirit guides that if I hear ringing in my ear it meant I was on the correct path. It freaked me out since everything was just so coincidental

So definitely follow what you notice and embrace it. you never know Good luck with it Fred!

This started happening to me a lot too when I began meditation. Now they persist, pretty much on a regular basis.

On one hand, there is a sensible psychological explanation. There is something called the Reticular Activating System (RAS), which basically filters our perception based on our wants, opening our awareness. This makes sense for your motorcycle example and the psychic stuff. You said to your subconscious, "work on these things," so now your subconscious has gone to work, showing your conscious mind what you're looking for. The subconscious does what we tell it to do.

On the other hand, it's much more mystical. I think the universe is showing you a new kind of awareness, a universe that you have a great influence and power over. You're finding exactly what you're looking for, reminders that this is a mystical universe and your mind, body, spirit are limitless powers within this sphere of existence.

When we're "tuned in," this orchestration of the cosmos, life, earth, etc. presents itself often. There is a sense of interconnectedness and beauty that tends to pervade these moments, reminding us of . . . well, something.

I think the key to all of this is deciding what to do with your new awareness. It's calling to you, making you notice over and over again some form of new potential. Keep listening and I'm sure you'll get some more interesting messages. It's up to you what to do with them.

@Minerva That Is awesome. Coincidences like that seem to be happening to me more and more. Just a few minutes ago I was talking to a friend heart to heart, which doesn't happen that often with us. When looked at the clock it was 1:11! Maybe that means I was on the right path? Whatever it is, it's really interesting.

@Philemon Hahaha. Yeah, and it really does remind me of… well, something. I'm increasingly feeling a sense of well-being that isn't related to anything I am aware of. It's just there, floating about.

As far as what I should do with this new awareness, that's a good question. I suppose I should use it to help people and spread joy. I wonder what the limitations of this kind of thing are.

If I thought really create reality, people people use their thoughts to create an evil reality? I don't think the universe necessarily discriminates between good and evil. Actually, I don't think it even recognizes such a duality. But this seems to be getting into karma, rather than what I was originally talking about. This is just a fascinating journey and I'm grateful to be able to take it. :-)

Interesting indeed, Fred. iIcame on the forum today for those reasons and because more and more I feel my pursuits flowing as energy. Lately there has been normal but rare things happening twice in a day, like in pairs, a few of them in the last week. I can't deny it and not think!

By having a huge crush on a girl in my town and knowing she might have a thing for me as well (maybe not quite sure yet), all my energy flows towards finding the best possible way to run into her so i can ask her out without interrupting her day or seeming too pushy. It is a long process and one thing I look forward to is to get psychic guidance about whether this situation is appropriate. It has happened to me before with another girl, like huge. In the end im gonna have to just face her and ask her out anyways...nothing can possibly stop me from doing that..hehe

Yeah, it's definitely weird when it happens. And very hard to ignore!

Man, crushes are the worst! I think you would save a lot of time by just finding her and asking her out directly like you said. Then you'll have all that energy to put into something else.

At the very least, it's better than wasting tons of time just in case it doesn't work out… Not to jinx you or anything. :-)

You might want to ask the angels to help you (esp the romance angels). If you are truly meant to be with this person, the angels will find a way for you guys to run into each other and at the right time - that way you can stop scheming and planning. The angels know everything and they know when to set things up at just the right time. The problem is yosep is that NO angel can help unless you ask them for help. They can only intervene (without asking) if it is not your time to die.

Angels love to help and be involved in your life. I am always calling upon god and the angels and archangels for help. Just today, I asked to see a white feather because I have been seeing feathers on the ground and I wanted to know if these really were being sent from my angels and I asked them today to send me a white feather asap(apparently white feathers signal angels are near) and I found one today. So they do listen and they do help and they would be happy to help assist you and angels love to see us happy.

I have been getting ridiculous amounts for days. A lot of it related to new work opportunity. Also I like how it also serves as a warning system for conflict or deceit.
