Hello. I found this website and I have been looking for similar symptoms as to what I have been experiencing. I'm only nineteen and from what I can recall, these strange vibrations have been happening to me for almost a year now. They usually happen when I have gotten a lot of sleep the night before. So say if I've slept for longer than ten hours. But that is not always the case and I would say that when it first started happening, it would happen maybe once a month, but now it is getting more frequent. Maybe around once or twice a week. It always happens in the morning and the vibrations always awaken me from my slumber. The best way I can think to describe them is sort of like a bee buzzing in my ear. Then around my body it feels as though a swarm of bees is buzzing very close to my body starting at around my ankles or knees and moving in a wave up to my head. The buzzing nose is almost muted when I feel the vibration on the lower portion of my body and as it moves upward the buzzing intensifies until it goes back down to my knees. I don't remember being awakend from a dream ever, it's always from a silent sleep where it's kind of like just a blanket of nothingness...if that makes any sense at all. I feel a sort of paralysis, but it is not completely binding and if I concentrate hard enough I can shake myself out of it. The weird thing is that I am conscience of the vibration (I'm not sleeping because it wakes me up) and it immediately stops once I open my eyes. I can move my arms and legs and I will still feel the vibrating, but once I open my eyes, it stops. Now, the even STRANGER thing is that if I let the vibration continue without opening my eyes to stop it, I will eventually hear a voice speaking to me. I'm not quite sure, but I would say that after maybe a minute of vibrating I will hear a voice. I have only let this happen twice, so this theory is in no way sound. Once the first time that I experienced this and again a few days ago. The reason that it has only happened twice may be because I was too scared to hear a voice again, so I would immediately open my eyes and move around if I felt the vibration starting. I think I'm becoming more curious and I don't think it's anything threatening, which is why I decided to see if I could hear a voice again. The voice isn't necessarily threatening. I just don't like the fact that I'm hearing something. It comes in sort of a whisper and I can feel it directly in my ear. The first time I heard it, it was a male's voice and the second time it was female. I don't believe it to be schizophrenia because it has only happened twice and under these circumstances. Also, I can never remember fully what the voice has said once I allow myself to fully awake and go about my day. I only remember a few words. What the voice says isn't long, really only a sentence so I don't know why I wouldn't be able to remember it all. The last time it said something along the lines of "seven more are coming". Now, I have no idea what that could possibly mean. I have read of other people having similar cases to mine. But I'm still unsure of what to think about my specific case. Are there any theories out there? Thanks so much in advance, I really appreciate any ideas. Last edited by Danirann; 07-03-2011 at 08:58 PM. |

Yeah, it's called sleep paralysis. It's common, and I get it a lot. I've probably had about 500+ episodes of it to date. Basically what is happening is your body secretes a paralyzing hormone when you sleep so you don't act out your dreams physically. Sometimes you wake up and the hormone is still active so you can't move. Since you're in a kind of trance state, but awake, you are prone to extrasensory perception such as hearing the vibratory rate of your energy centers (the buzzing noise), and hearing voices, seeing visuals, entities etc. You can actually harness this state to have an out of body experience. If you relax into the buzzing and paralysis and use your arms to pull an imaginary rope you can pop yourself out of body. The buzzing and body sensations get really intense before you pop out though. *ed* You mention the buzzing goes from your knees to your head then back down. This sounds like a minor Kundalini awakening. I've had that too, with sleep paralysis. It goes from the bottom of my spine up to my head, with the buzzing and paralysis etc. The message "7 more or coming" might relate to the 7 chakras that Kundalini activates. Wow! That's really interesting. Thank you! If I'm trying for an out of body experience, would I actually pull with my arms or just imagine them pulling. This past night my arms seemed to sort of rotate in little windmills movements. I don't know if it was actually happening, but that is what it seemed like. Would it be possible for Kudalini awakening even if I don't practice meditation or anything like that? Thank you for all your help! |

Another time, I was laying on my side, wake up in SP, try really hard to move and eventually turn over to the other side and see that side of my room and everything. But then when I break the SP state, I am physically facing the first way and hadn't changed sides at all. Even though you feel that you are moving and see the other perspective, you are infact physically resting in the same position. I've even heard a ripping noise when I move around in my own body like that. To get an out of body experience, you could imagine a rope and try and feel yourself holding onto it and pull yourself out. Or you could try and feel yourself standing next to your bed and try and feel that perspective. What will happen so you know it's working is the buzzing will get a lot more intense until eventually the tension increases so much that you pop out of your body. After that it's amazing. Out of body feels more a lot more real than right now in your body, you're super clear and aware. You can certainly have a Kundalini awakening without meditation practices. The most common ways its triggered spontaneously are by drugs, a physical accident, a buildup of sexual energy, a spiritual entity or a mixture of those. Yours sounded like minor activity though, nothing to be concerned about. | |
