I was attempting to Astral Project yesterday as i have been for the past few days. I'm struggling with it, but i am determined to achieve it and through sheer will and determination i definitively AM going to succeed either way. I think my greatest problem is clearing my head and focusing on my breathing. My thoughts keep distracting me and i don't feel like my body is going in the direction of sleeping. Yesterday night i attempted to astral project again. After a few minutes (i was also listening to theta binaurals) i had a very large, very intense and somewhat uncomfortable sensation between my eyebrows where i believe my chakra is located. I felt like it was sucking in energy, it felt strained, immensely pressurized and weird. I also felt as though there was a piece of string across my face going across my forehead. I cannot fully describe what i felt. I am curious to know - why did i feel this and what does it mean? Last edited by KyaSul; 06-18-2011 at 07:56 PM. |

You might be putting too much mental pressure on the chakra between the eyebrows. Try another method of only giving that place a mild non-intense focus. Astral projection is based on the subtle body leaving the physical body, that is the whole subtle body not just the brow chakra which is a part of it. Try to relax more and put yourself in the frame of mind of an observer of the separation. |

I've experienced the same feeling several times, often as though something is touching my forehead and a slight pressure, sometimes a headache. It comes (for me) after periods of intense concentration and can last for up to a week. Massage away from the area and practice a few relaxation exercises, it will go away - but you need to relax your mind/concentration. It sounds like you're very determined - if I may suggest, you can be focused and relaxed at the same time. I've never astral projected so my suggestion is purely theoretical. However from what I understand tension will hinder not help and these headache\pressures will continue if you keep using your Will in such a way. Good luck on the journey |

If something moves in the astral body as it is inter-spaced into the physical, the physical one may not mimic the astral movement or it may just stay put, while the astral one moves about. Sometimes when a person practices astral separation, he or she finds that an arm or foot of the astral body moves and the physical limb does not move an inch. Over time you may get more psychic sensitivity which will allow you to sort the two bodies. |
