Just 'came out' of the spiritual closet to everyone on my facebook. For a while spirit has been telling me to live my genuine self. So tonight after watching an episode of TED talk, i finally did it. I announced that i am a psychic and a healer and that it is my path to walk. I announced it not to gain acceptance from these people, but to finally accept myself as i am - which is really what matters. I feel loved, i feel more free. I feel lighter. Thank You. xxx |

Thanks for sharing this Jeremy. I'm out in the open too, but remember when I was younger how these types of things could only be discussed safely in safe, small groups of like-minded friends. These days it's much easier to find kindred spirits. Hopefully your move not only helps you progress along your path, but that it inspires others to "come out" more too! |

Congrats Jeremy, what a feeling that must be!!! Hopefully you're fb friends have surprised you and are encouraging you on your path. If not, "block them" and blame it on the guides. You can really mess with their minds - just kiddin'. I can imagine you'll probably get razzed though. Be true to yourself and you will succeed. Congrats again and wishing you a future of success, happiness and health. |

Since you are on Facebook, check out the page "spiritual warrior". I LOVE this page, and the guy who started it is from Grafton, he technically died and came back. He posts great quotes all the time, and his page attracts lots and lots of like minded people |

Thanks for your support everyone! I realised now i can't really lie to other people about it now. I guess my biggest fear was having them scoff at me and telling me to prove it. I guess i just wouldn't know how to handle it if i was put on the spot. But no matter. It's been done now and if people don't like it, they can delete me lol. There's no room for people who don't want to be in my life, and all the room in the world for others who are respectful towards my passions lol. Much love! |

What kind of responses and reactions have you gotten after disclosing this so far Jeremy? I think it's really interesting to learn about peoples thoughts on the occult side of spiritualism, really it allows you to paint a picture sort of on how much society and people in general know about these topics. From my observations the occult arts and topics are not too widely accepted or even acknowledged by the average joe, I think this is slowly changing though especially with the invention of the internet which makes this information much much much more accessible. A lot of religious people condemn the occult with reasons that prove that they are just flat out ignorant and misinformed about it, they say things like "they get their power from the kingdom of satan", "the devil is deceiving them", "they are in spiritual darkness" and stuff like that. I wonder how will society look upon the occult in 20 or 30 years now that the information can be accessed so easily? |

So far i've had a few likes, and a few comments - nothing at all negative. I'm very thankful. I did however expect a bit more support. Perhaps it is because i had faith that they would support my journey, which i'm sure we would all enjoy. I think though, It was a much bigger issue for me then it was for anyone else. Im not even sure if anyone read my status. But i remain thankful. People used to ask me what i wanted to do. It's a bit hard to come out and say you want to work as a psychic and healer. Especially if a hard working man like a mechanic or a labourer asks you. It's just scary! lol The reaction is what i fear, you see. I think with time people will come to accept spirituality a lot more. Occult, im not so sure of. I haven't got much experience or even know the definition for occult. Younger and Younger people are coming into their spirituality now. It's not a last resort practice anymore, it's people who wish to improve themselves and be the best they can. We'll just see how it unfolds. I plan on being around another 70 years. Bring it! lol | |

Anyone that practices things like astral projection, telepathy, magick, channeling, clairvoyance, psionics, energy working etc.. is considered to be an occultist whether they are aware of the term or not. This online community you and we are all apart of I consider it to be at least partially an occult community because it discusses the hidden knowledge. Way to go, Jeremy! I've been a bit resistant myself to leading an honest life as well...but more so because my mother is psychic, and I wanted to chose my own path (not just follow her footsteps). You can't deny the power though if you have it! Congrats and good luck. |

Yeah, occult isn't exactly the best term. It implies secrecy, first of all. And there is so much sharing here I recently came out of the closet myself. Well, partly-I gradually talked about it to my parents. My dad's indiffrent, but mother's very supportive (she's kinda into RVing herself |
