Not sure if this is the appropriate forum but I am just curious? Do you believe in life after death? Have you had any personal experiences that have made you believe? Would be interested to hear any stories.

Absolutely, positvely, 100 percent I do believe in life after death. The interesting thing is that three years ago I would have made the exact opposite statement. I have spent the past three years slowly lifting my skepticism. I did loads of research on the subject, read hundreds of books, and experimented with a handful of psychics and mediums. It took a while and a lot of research but I am finally to the point of completely believing in life after death.

yes.Used to be a paranormal investigator and this one time saw something, along with several others, that i couldn't explain. Also i am certain that i have been visited by deceased loved ones in my dreams.I also believe that i have been shown the other side in a dream which to this day (i had it many years ago)i can remember every detail because it was so real!

Angel, I understand what you are saying about your dreams and remembering everything because it was so real. It seems like that is the difference between regular dreaming versus knowing it was something more. I have had three dreams that fit the something more than a dream category. The first dream was a couple years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. It's pretty cool. |

Yes, I've been talking with people who have passed on since I was 5 or 6. Had some experiences about 3 years ago where there was communication happening with a group of people after a sudden death of one of the friends. Interesting experience and part of what started pushing me into investigating my own abilities more. It was the first time I found other people to talk with about things I experience and feel like maybe I wasn't crazy.

...let me put it to you this way, I do not believe in the finality of death, err I do not believe in death, per se. Most people think death is kind of a final state or the end of life. But as most things in nature, life is not linear but cyclical. Everything is. Spring follows the winter and so on. Life is followed by a state called death but we are keep on existing in a non-material form. Most things have a multifaceted existence and the visible, physical one is just the tip of the ice-berg. After a brief pause between lives we are re-born ie reincarnated. And the cycle goes on until we finally get the "message" and fall of the wheel of karma. I have had slivers of recognitions of past lives and other's stories are numerous and while interesting to some, I'll pass. P.S. My past lives (that I know of) include Roman times, WWII and Victorian England. Last edited by Andras; 05-26-2011 at 11:02 PM. |

I believe in life after life. Having done several past life regressions under light hypnosis (I've never been so deep that I didn't know what happened when I came out of it), I've seen things that couldn't be explained any other way, so far as I'm concerned. WWII Europe (Austria?) and Victorian England/Scotland were two of my most recent, but there are plenty of others. It's really quite fascinating to look back and see certain patterns, lessons, experiences, connections. |

Yes I do. Why? Out of body experiences and seeing numerous spirits. It is not easy to go back to the notion that it all ends with the body after the things I've gone through. I'd have to be in denial. |

| you must be one of my soul mates!!!!! Last concert i went to was them, oh but of course you know them, tom Waits was featured in "Blinking Lights". Okay, focus on the topic, Weena. Life after death. On the topic of OBE, my quite scientifically minded husband has had some and it sounds pretty full on good. Funny how i want to and i don't (not ones that I can remember) and my non-airy-fairy-math-and-sciences-loving husband had them without even trying ( |

No. I'm comfortable with the idea that there is no life after death. But if there is... ok... what ever will be will be As for ghosts, my mother promises to 'haunt me' after she dies (assuming there is life after death). She also promises to sing/chant 'Lost in time, lost in space, we are members of the human race'. She is so kind; wanting to be with me even after death... and sing... |

Oh my sister has had them too, but it's when she parties too hard, she describes it as scary and as being ejected from her body and "falling like a ♥♥♥♥" a few meters away from her resting physical body.

Think of death like the life cycle of a caterpillar. The caterpillar has a cumbersome body and slowly crawls around. It goes to sleep in a cocoon. When it awakes the caterpillar is gone, but it isn't dead, it now has a beautiful ,light body and is free to fly around wherever it wants to. |

I don't believe that there is a life like life we have here, or any other form where we're visiting and talking to people that are alive or whatever. I do believe that our consciousness carries on after our physical bodies are dead, but not to live another life. We wake up and merge with the dreamer I guess you could say. I guess my belief is all ghosts, spirits, angels and all that are still stories in the dream and after death we actually wake up from all this. At least this is the model I'm using right now, and it's working well so far. |

No. I don't actually disbelieve it either. I have no reason to say "There absolutely isn't life after death" but I also don't have reason to say there is. I think it would be cool |

You are asking the wrong question. Life is a word used to interpret our temporary existence on Earth. We never ever truly 'die', for death is a physical experience most commonly misinterpreted to suggest that we are indeed only comprised of that which is physical, and not in fact a combination of both the physical and spiritual. We have a body and we have a soul. Our souls cannot 'die', they may only continue their existence whether that be in one of learning or one of teaching. Our Souls are therefore infinite beings. The experience of Death is when our bodies stop functioning. The very fact that we a born with a finite body that may be shortened by environmental factors, highly suggests that any particular lifetime plays a very small fraction in the total sum of experiences of the soul. In terms of reincarnation, there exists life after death in the form of future incarnations. In terms of spirituality, the word death does not apply. In terms of physicality, 'life' does not exist after death as we have effectively shed our bodies and are then just existing without a form of physicality bound to Earth. The first time I died I was 3 years old on an operating table. My time spent in that hospital and later in my home afterwards is the total sum of my memories of my early childhood. I can so vividly remember everything because all of my memories are of dead people walking towards me when I was left alone. I see and speak to Spirits, Angels, Higher Beings on a daily basis. However not without its consequences. I was scared to death of the ethereal world as a kid, I was introverted in every possible way, I couldn't communicate properly with people, demons came after me in my house, and I eventually socially/emotionally imploded. I have been through more ♥♥♥♥♥ in my lifetime than I care to believe. I have had family pets die and start walking around as if nothing happened. I have had family members die and started doing the exact same ****ing thing. I don't fear death as death does not matter to me. The afterlife is just a continuance, get over it. |
