I haven't been remembering dreams much for ages, but early yesterday morning had a sudden vivid dream where my friend Peter (who died end of February) came up to me and greeted me. He was quite happy to see me, and we started talking about this and that. I was quite aware in the dream that he had died. "Did you realize I came to see you twice?" He said. "Since you died?" I asked, and he said yes. I told him I did know about one time I'd felt his presence, but the second one I wasn't absolutely sure of (when a spoon appeared to go flying off a work-top in the kitchen, for no apparent reason, about a week after he died)"Yes, that was me" he said. Then he wanted to make a phone call with my mobile(cell phone) I laughed and said he wouldn't be able to use it! I said I'd make the call for him. He told me to phone someone we both knew. I ended up speaking to this person, trying to explain to them it wasn't a call from ME but from Peter...... Well I don't quite know what to make of all that. Did I really meet him, or what?? |

That's an interesting dream. I'm leaning more with the idea that it's legit, especially with how you haven't been remembering dreams and then this one in particular shines through. I wonder if he wanted to give a specific message to this person, which could have, just maybe, provided some sort of proof. You know, one of those things that he would know but you didn't... |

Well it's interesting because this person he wanted me to call, he (kind of) hero-worshiped to a certain extent....yet this person didn't come to the funeral even though he said he would. He's one of those slightly arrogant people who have their own friends circle and think they know all about what someone like Peter was....but strangely they didn't because they never bothered to find out! (slight vent there! lol!) |

Did the dream just fade into something else (with a somewhat sense of completion) or did you just wake up halfway through? | |

No I just woke up after the phone call, well in the middle of the phone call actually. But all day long there was this "atmosphere" with me (hard to describe) but the best way I can try to describe it is a strong sense of Peter's energy, and a strong sense of "reality" about what had happened.

How would you know if it was really him or not? Him in what sense? Does he not exist within you? Without your own consciousness, appearing within what you are? What is REAL then about your connection and relationship, your bond? What is that "it" that you LOVE so much? Do you know? |

Sounds pretty legit to me, bluestar. I think Yeshua asks some good questions, too. Although they imply a different sort of path to authenticity then you may be asking about. I wonder why this friend is so persistent in visiting you. Is it really to send a message to this hero-like person who you seem to think is a jerk? Maybe your friend has something else in mind. Maybe you do have something to do for your friend, or perhaps your friend is there to be something for you--a guide. Maybe your his first assignment, hence the challenge contacting you. Actually, it doesn't matter if you REALLY met him--at least in my opinion. Experience is experience. And experiences which we feel or think are significant are significant. Ultimately, we should seek what we can learn. Questions of "real" are fun to play with but quite irrelevant. |
