What exactly happened?

I have never consciously been aware of my guardian angels, spirit guides, or high-self messages/intuition. As a result, I tried guided meditation and Erin's celestial staircase to meet them.

I counted up to about ~200 stairs. About halfway, I saw a brilliant flash of light. My eyes were closed, so I wasn't sure what the light was. I felt a little fear, but I thought of some affirmations that I want to talk to my angels and guides and I intend to do so. The light "disappeared" and I saw blackness again. Then once I reached to the end, the flash of light appeared again and this time I felt like a "pull" and I got transferred to some shore area. I felt a rush of energy or something through me. My heart feels like it's beating faster, but it isn't. The light was still there, and I asked in my mind "May I see my Guardian Angels please?" The light grew even brighter, but then I snapped out of the meditation and was back into reality.

While all of this was happening, I kept hearing something. It sounds like car tires screeching, but it was a low sound. Kind-of mechanical... The sound kept continuing on for a second or two and it stopped. Afterward I heard your everyday car being driven.

My vision was "distorted" a little bit when I put on my glasses again and got up. It's like whenever you wake up. That kind of distortion.

I have no idea what happened. I was a little afraid, but I tried mustering up my courage.

As I closed my eyes again and do some more affirmations and a most benevolent outcome to have a deeper relationship with my guardian angels, spirit guides, higher self, Jesus, and Buddha I saw a white light, so I had my left hand covering my eyes so I'll see darkness again, but I saw a tint shade of green. The reason why I covered my eyes was to see if the bright lightness was due to the sun, but it's not even that bright over here. My logical mind and current understanding of light cannot make sense of this.

I said out loud that I apologize to my guardian angels and spirit guides for not being able to "hear" them, and that I will continue trying guided meditation everyday.

I would appreciate some clarity into my situation though. Thank you!

You are on your way.

When you become clairvoyant you will see energies, especially when closing your eyes, like you brow chakra pulsating purple energies or some else coming in through the crown like in most of often white flashes.

When you both are about to adapt to the communication you can have some intense flashes.

Don't directly apologize, but of course respond like "Thanks, this is working well, let's see if we can enjoy more communication" or however you interpret the character of you guides you also can treat them more like your friend or your teacher. Normally they know your personality well enough that it's just enough that you response authentically, they will often even want that you treat them like your 'buddy', but they don't want that you apologize as this tends more to keep a unnecessary distance.

You will figure everything out perfectly if you pursuit it joyously.
Say them thanks and invite them to come in whenever they wish, soon they visit you dreams.

Thank you Summer. I just said out loud to them that I take back my apology, but instead thank them and invited them to come talk to my in my dreams. I also said thanks to my angels, guides, higher-self, Jesus, and Buddha. I'm not sure why I include Jesus and Buddha, but I might as well. I feel like they will help me out a lot.

Well I'll try the meditation again later tonight. The flashes of lights really got intense, and they are definitely something I have never experienced before until now. It actually happened in an area where there's very little light coming in.

EDIT: Yeah I sincerely wanted to talk to them. This experience gave me more confidence to continue doing this and making it a daily thing. I was like "oh I'll do it eventually..." or "perhaps I have no ability to talk to them." If what you said is true, and I believe that you are correct, I really am on my way. Now it is all about patience and effort to make this happen.

You feel protected when you do this, because you have bit fear, as it's bringing more familiarity and 'legitimacy' into the 'unknown'.

I also want to do prayers everyday for everyone and every living beings. It feels natural for me to do. I want to meet Angel Gabriel and my guardian Angels one day. It feels so right for me to say that, hehehe!

Perhaps start with Michael instead of Gabriel. If you want to astral travel he will lift you out in a well fitting environment if you keep asking before sleeping in and including him into your practices - he rarely initiates a conversation himself, even in the astrals, so you need to, if you want to talk to him.
Possible you have a bad perception there, keep repeating "Give me clarity"

When you are outside your body, your higher self is also very often there just by calling it.

A good start to expand your awareness of possible experiences, I felt you would enjoy them

Summerbreeze... For some reason, there was a voice coming from my mom's desktop. It was a man's voice. There was no program or source running on the desktop that would produce the noise. The speaker was on, but no sources could be identified that would result in a man's voice.

My mom, sister, and I all heard it. What could this be? :s

I just asked for protection from my guides and angels. Then I ask any and all beings to protect my family and gave them thanks.

I'm going to ask for Archangel Michael for assistance as well.

... This is freaking me out, but I'm not sure if it was a sign from my angels or guides. It does not feel like it...

EDIT: OMG I felt a cold breeze around my feet. Okay this is getting too creepy!

Congrats! appears your start to make connections.

I am on a similiar path, although I seem to be gathering info but have yet to put into practice. It inspires me when reading others experiences, including their methods. Erin's staircase technique seems to work, will check it out, thanks for sharing

Lastly, I and other members I'm sure are feeling the love through your posts......

Oh yes, thank you Summerbreeze. This incident reminds me of the time when I saw a shadow "moving" on the wall at my old house. I still remember of it till this day. It happened when I was a young lad, probably around 6 or 7. I have not seen or remember any shadows after that. It was so scary.

I always ask people "Is this really what you want?". There is so much to this, so much involved, so many doors opened, your life will never be the same again.

You are opening your bodily portals and abilities. When you are closer to God, all of the abilities of clairvoyance, claircognizence, and clairaudience develop naturally. Don't fear the unknown. Embrace it. Let it take you for a ride.

If things start getting out of hand. Let me know. There is an array of psychic protection techniques that can be performed. The first and foremost thing is raising your vibration.

Keep going and don't stop until you are on speaking terms with your Guides and Angels.
