No offense. I tried affirmations for at least two years. They were certainly an improvement but in general they don't last. They only work when you're doing them. As soon as you quit, the impulses/beliefs you're trying to counter or work on come back in force. I offered an alternative of using questions. Like affirmations the effect depends on the question. "How can I make everybody love me?" has some obvious issues, I think. "How can I use my current feelings to have fun with my friends?" would be much better. . I recognise this as your truth based on your extensive experience. ( 2 years is a heck of a lot longer then my 2 days) However i'll never know for sure unless i test it and use it myself. I have heard of this process of being in the question. One process was from a modality of healing called Access Consciousness. Another is called Afformations. I have not looked extensively into it. Robert Bruce actually suggests using a mixture of Affirmations and Afformations. Afformations being the affirmations that are posed as a question. I think an example of the 2 would be this. Affirmation " I see energy clearly" Afformation " Why do i see energy clearly?" The mind then tries to find the answer to this question and thereby manifests it into reality. I haven't really worked with it. I hear there are great results. But i think i will stick with Affirmations and i'll document my findnings to see how they work. I have not a doubt in my mind they are working now. Just tonight i gave one of my best readings after only 3 days of affirmations. Mind you, this was constant affirming. I estimate in the last two days i have affirmed a total of 7 - 8 hours. It takes gocus and concentration. I forget for about half an hour and then come back to it. But im getting better at it. Just like now. Every full stop i say an affirmation. It also feels good. My mind feels like it falls silent for a short time after i do an affirmation. It feels like a constant active meditation. I'm also noticing a great deal of body sensation. At some times i feel a tenseness, and then it eases into goosebumps. Anyway, thank you! I'll continue on and see how i go!

I also notice that you use questions that seem like intellectual action planning rather than the "afformation" that Jeremy's using where the question is "why" which doesn't really have an answer but does have the embedded assumption of what you want to manifest. "How can I" seems like it may or may not happen, but focuses your mind on the action steps to make it happen.

Are there objective truths about some techniques working better than others for everyone? I don't know but I'd rather err on the side of yes there are. My experience and sense is that yes, some techniques are better than others. Because I take that position I suppose I feel an obligation to communicate what I think is better. Possibly you need to practice affirmations before you can appreciate other techniques, and possibly not. That's what I'm trying to understand in general. My suspician is people are attracted to affirmations, or most cognitive techniques, because they aren't ready to deal with feelings directly or they just don't know how to deal with feelings directly. No offense. I'm open to a more accurate view but that's where I'm at in my "development." The tricky part is to have this kind of constructive debate without me or you getting defenseive. I'm getting better at it and I appreciate your openmindedness. I realize I'm raining on other people's parade to some degree. .

Mind is churning ... Well, how 'bout I read his question more thoroughly. Asking again. Mind is churning some more ... Answer each sentance or try to answer even further beyond taylor's question. Churning some more ... I think I'll answer in general mostly because I'm too tired to get very specific. That's a real life example. The point of using a question is to get the full mind working, engaged, and bringing my full capibilites to the task at hand. In the above example I got answers but then I decided not to use them. But if I hadn't gone through that process my answer probably wouldn't be very good. I think "How can I use my current feelings to have fun with my friends?" is a good question because it brings my feelings into the task of finding a way to have fun. Instead of trying to figure out what's wrong with me or how can I "fix" myself, I can use what I already am. I'm beginning to wonder if what I'm talking about is universal or not. I've been assuming it is. You ask yourself a question, it goes into the black box of the mind and out comes and answer, right or wrong, useful or not. Do some people not experience that? .

I have just listened to accounts from Robert on a recorded workshop where he speaks about cases where people have physicaly changed their body. One example he gave was a friend he has who had varicose veins of the testicals. He used Affirmations and it took 4 days. It dissappeared after many years of medical treatments faliures. Another was a lady whose breasts were uneven. She wanted them equal and larger. Within weeks the corrections manifested themselves. He even talked about people manifesting their height. Affirmations are limitless i say! Give anything a go. Remember, present tense, active, clear and firm. Spoken affirmations are 100x more powerful then silent. Imagine you are taking part in a movie or film. Become that character you are manifesting. You are putting work and energy into it which manifests faster. Best of look! Report back with your results!

Remember what you must do. Present tense, clear, making sure it is what you want to manifest. say it out loud clear and firm as often as possible, as in you have it right now. Let's look at some options. Back Pain " My back feels great!" , " I have a perfect spine" You can also say something indirectly that addresses the same issue if you feel there is a lot of resistance to the affirmation. For example if you like to play basketball, but you have back pain when you play always, you could say something like " I love playing basketball" " I enjoy playing basketball". This still addresses your backpain, but indirectly because you cannot play basketball and have backpain when this intention is manifested. Say if sitting is what is causing the backpain you could say " I feel comfortable when sitting" etc. It is up to you how to make affirmations. For the height I would also like to try this. Perhaps we could both come up with something grand here. Remembering to address exactly what you would want. Something as simple as " I am 6' 4 inches" would suffice. In fact that is very direct and to the point, im unsure of others that could be better. How's that?

Yeah. Let's do it Jeremy! I'm 6'1". I'll say "I am 6'4"" everyday and see what happens at the end of two months. I give it two months because it'll take a lot of hammering away at my science-y mind. lol, I just tried the affirmations for my back and it felt a lot better already. xD |

I thought of a few more today for height. How about also saying something like " I love being 6'4" ", " I enjoy being 6' 4" ", " Being 6'4" feels great"

However, I think your higherself already knows you're a male lol! i don't think you need to specify your gender there. How about just taking out 'male' and making it " I love being 6'4" and healthy"

I've been playing around with a couple of different affirmation styles. MysteryX was pointing out that I need to outflow my energy to my environment instead of keeping it stuck on myself. So I've just started doing "everyone" affirmations. Instead of magnifying the positive aspects of myself alone like "I love that I am healthy." I expand it to "I love that everyone is healthy." and "I love that Bobby is healthy." This does expand my outpouring of energy. I don't feel as much of a concentrated high intensity energy or focus over my body, but I do feel more expanded, like that energy is getting diffused over a larger area through me. This also makes it easier for me to appreciate the positive aspects of others because I'm focusing on them. It's like in this style the affirmations are less helpful directly because there's not a concentration on you, but are more helpful indirectly because you are outpouring your energy and positive focus to your environment. Another trick I was using was if I was feeling resistance saying a strong affirmation, I'll go with a softer affirmation. Like saying "I love the idea that I am healthy." a few times, then slipping in the strong affirmation "I love that I am healthy." and back to the softer version. I notice I have less resistance and can slip in the strong affirmation more and more. |

Robert speaks about walking the walk. A powerful manifestation technique we've heard about is the 'fake it till you make it' type exercise. You really must act it out as if you have it now. Feel it, know it, be it. That way no matter how much resistance there is, you're hammering away at it. You're showing your higher self " Hey, i really want this. I really want this to manifest and be part of my reality" And Higher Self goes " Your wish is my command" I personally am following this mans instructions, suggestions and advice to the 'T'. I only a few days of doing affirmations, i have came in contact with my guides and higher self and it was suggested i offer 100 free readings to anyone. Personally, that's HUGE!!!! Freakin' huge! Almost daunting. But i trust this process so much, i feel it manifesting into my life. It feels warm and like particles. Like a mist taking physical form into matter. I don't know how to explain it. But i'm growing in faith and trust with every affirmation i say and im seeing results. It's truely remarkable. My suggestion is to go all in. You have nothing to lose! Good work Love
