See I went to that psychic because she told me she could see and hear deceased people really clearly...and there was a lot of hit and miss and more "miss" than "hits". I know one person on here connected with my deceased spirit once (hi Tara The medium I saw this week looked like she was doing heaps of guessing work rather than really connecting, aside for two or three things that could have been relevant (the rest was not at all relevant). How come, from a real medium point of view? |

I just seen one really clearly for the first time like 1 hour ago literally. Usually I see them as dark shadows moving. This don't happen a lot though. That one was really really clear though and see through(That isn't a myth). It disappeared very quik. Didn't see the face just what they were wearing(That's my first).

Once in a while I will when I am in the course of a reading for someone else. Normally I am looking for spirit guides and angels, not deceased friends and relatives, but sometimes they show up anyway. In my own life I will hear and smell which lets me know something is around but I intentionally do not want to "see" them.

Yes and spoken to them. I found it a great relief when I realised they still have a sense of humor, that really helps when your looking at a disembodied spirit. They also can have all the range of emotions it seems. There are lots of doctor type spirits as well that do a type of psychic surgery on people as crazy as that sounds. I remember on night I was watching one of these doctor types talking to another spirit and he held up a strange looking instrument and said /do you have one of these?/.Oh and how come they dont get it always right? Because just like here on earth with our limitations there are spirits that hook up wih mediums and those spirits dont really posses a lot of power or abilities because they too are basically amateurs. The really cool entities and not just human that travel a lot and have great insight look for special candidates to work with, because what they have would be lost on the average medium. This sort of spirit is a limited resource but they do work on earth in small numbers.

Great question Weena! What you mean is does anyone see the spirit of the deceased in physicality, like a clairvoyance outside of the head. I think this may have happened with me when i was very young, but i don't really remember - it somehow resonates. I can sometimes however very clearly see the deceased with the brow. My Grandparents were the first i had seen very clear in my head. It stopped being a visualisation and turned into almost as if i had my eyes open - even though they were closed. I do know it is possible to actually develop your clairvoyance to the point of seeing spirits as clear as day. |

I remember ALG mentioning that he lived in a house that was haunted. And his wife and him were bothered by ghost kids who they could very clearly see. And I'm pretty sure Erin does too. I've had no such experience. Except the one time a deceased friend visited me in my dream, it felt very very real. And thank God for that, I'd pee my pants if I saw a deceased ectoplasm-ic person! |

Weena - Great to see a post by you! Everyone is unique, meaning that everyone will have certain strengths or forte's. Based on the senses that we use in our normal waking world, we tend to use those same senses in doing intuitive work. I've seen beings energetically several times, but I tend to hear and feel them more than see them. I typically have my eyes shut during a reading to focus more, and when I close my eyes I can typically get an impression of them (i.e. what they look like), or even see a movie-like clip of something that happened. At different times, usually at the end of a reading, I will have deceased relatives come through. When I have seen beings it has been when I have asked to and usually at night when it's dark. Two times when I have asked to see my guides before I went to sleep, I woke up with them standing right next to my bed, and it startled me so much that I jumped in my bed! |

Finally an opportunity to talk about it As a small child I saw them in the waking state as other beings, the best were fairies in my play place, but I begged to let it stop as I realized it can be stressing. Since then I just perceive visually and 'auditory' energies in the dark, I see many flashes, forms, mists etc. but nothing clear, I also know if something is there when I don't see it energywise. Te last years I remembered astral experiences of deceased persons, there were two amusing ones, at least for me. a humorous and total hairy Greek with tight speedo bathers, a good fed belly and a gold chain around the neck was showing me some things. Not sure if he was dead because he was pretty comfortable with all that. It's funny to see, probably at daytime he's a couch potato and at night a superhero with 'magic' powers I live in a very American influenced city and there was once an American hooker, that was more than upset and she was looking through the apartments here for something, I was a bit confused that she could saw me this quickly, she had a big urge to talk, but it was not a sophisticated chat. I don't like the idea of taping into a deceased person, because of the heavy feelings it might release, I'm glad that in this case other persons are offering that service, though I think dead person have a reason to go, so why not in the fastest possible way if its in their higher good. ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 04-20-2011 at 09:42 PM. |

Spirits can be seen in every night dreaming, lucid dreams or astral projections which I have seen them in all in. They are very vivid and in color 3d this way. I have seen spirits as in ghosts/apparitions physically manifesting from a younger age and it frightened me pretty badly so thank goodness it doesn't happen all that often. They appear from shadow like sillouettes to more detail/color versions. It takes a lot of energy for a spirit to manifest itself physically. When I do a reading though for some one, I see them with my eyes open, through my third eye. It's like a little movie playing almost, like an intense little movie reel playing and I "see" that instead of what is actually infront of me physically. Not all spirits will project an image for a medium to see though because just like medium, spirits have their stregths too. Some spirits prefer to go to a medium who has stronger clairaudience so they can talk rather than send an image through, for example. My sister prefers to come to me in dreams and when she does come through in waking hours, I can't hear her as well as I can see her. But I have a friend in spirit who would rather come through clairaudiently, it's easier for her. That's why, IMO, even if a psychic or medium has a stregth in one clair, they should work to stregthen the others clairs and become more well rounded and be able to help more people/spirits. Sorry, Ween, thought more on this last night. |

Well I might not be totally right, and many mediums might disagree with me, but I always feel mediumship is an art, an inspirational thing, a gift given. Not always necessarily something to be switched on and off at will, not always ready to obey conscious commands, and not always ready to come up with the stuff for the money in the hour allotted (or whatever) for a "reading" I have had one or two mediumistic events in my life. I have also met mediums who have been spot-on for about 10 seconds, and then suddenly went WAY off the mark....and I have met mediums who never got anywhere close in the first place. My experiences with mediums have left me with more questions than answers. But of course maybe I was either -unlucky at the time, or just not "ready" for the full-on "right reading".?? My own personal experiences made stronger marks on me though. No-one can take those away from you. I believe everyone is capable to one degree or another, of some form of mediumship or psychism. I believe it is a natural "sense" which many people have forgotten how to use. |

Thank you, everyone, for sharing your experience. Very interesting!!! I guess I just got really disappointed to find out that this medium was not much of a medium. Bluestar: it's also how it felt, as if she got a couple of things that were relevant , but a lot was totally off. Chris: I don't think I'd freak out to see my dearly departed. Random spirits, I might freak out, but a clear apparition of this one would just make me feel very good. There is also something I was curious about (related to her passing) so I hope she'll come, if even in a dream, to tell me the answer. It reminds me, my young cousin saw her departed father clear as day once. (Of course her carers dismissed her experience totally. Good thing she sees my mother now and then so she can get validation that she is "psychic" and not "insane"). She did not freak out at all, she took it really well, and as a sign he's always going to be there to care for her from the other side. What if I requested her to come in a dream? Would she? Has anyone tried this? |

Weena - You can totally request to visit someone in a dream! I was very close with my grandfather, and after he died I would see him consistently in my dreams for a few months. Mostly it was spontaneous, but a few times it was by request. Then after awhile it would happen less frequently - say about once a year. When my grandmother died a few years ago, she stared appearing in the dreams too! The dreams were very lucid for me, meaning I could acknowledge that he was dead and that he was very real as I was talking with him. When I would wake up I was suprised that I was dreaming because it felt so real. In our case, I was the only one in the extended family who encouraged him to explore spirituality and didn't judge him when he had astral projection experiences. So in real life we always had a great time when we got together, and it was a lot of fun in the dreams too - very connecting. Many times our relatives/friends can want to hang around for awhile to help us out - make sure we feel complete, are moving on, feeling loved, etc. Other times we are trying to help them move on. In some cases (just like when we die), our guides are playing the role of a deceased relative/friend so that we gain completion. Right before sleeping you might want to look at a picture of her/hold an image of her in your head and speak a request to connect with her out loud. Let us know how it goes! |

If it is in your best interest for her to come to you, she will. The greater your need, the greater liklihood that need will be met. Also, the stronger your Lucidity within the Dream Time, the easier it is for others to connect to you and for you to make your request felt. If you are a strong Lucid Dreamer, then it is like going from a random, week radio broadcast hoping the one you intend to pick it up does, to a direct phone call. At the end of it though, even with a phone call, one can choose not to answer.

Well yes it can happen but like Mato Kinze says, the time does have to be so right. And we can't always know all the ramifications of what is going on, not just with our own Souls, and what we need for development...but with the Soul's journey of the departed one. Put it this way...love lasts forever, but there may be times when the Spirit of the departed has "stuff to do". Anyway I will share an experience. My husband died, then not long after, my dog died too. I was so alone in my house suddenly and grieving over both of them. One day I wandered over to a little church in a village close by. I was crying and went into the deserted church. I called out to "God" "Please help if you can, just show me if they are ok, can you show me?" I woke from a bad dream the next morning. I was dreaming I couldn't find my dog, was looking for him everywhere, shouting for him, calling his name, and was panicking so hard in the dream I started to wake up. But just as I was surfacing I heard my husband's voice shouting urgently back to me "It's Okay. IT'S OKAY! He's HERE! WITH ME, LOVE!" Now that voice was so real, it echoed in me even at that moment I was semi-awake. It didn't quite sound like his voice came in an actual dream, but on the borders of consciousness. It could be he was telling me exactly that....that he was ok and so was our dog. |

My wife has this ability, to see the departed spirits of the deceased in a physical form that is as solid as any object you or I can see. There was a long period of time where she tried to suppress it because it caused her a great deal of fear and anxiety, but over the years I've tried to help her understand that she has this ability for a reason and can use it to help others, both physical and spiritual. That there's nothing to fear because death is just a part of life. She's begun to embrace it a lot more and has really let go of most of the fear. I tell her all the time that I wish I could see things as physically real as she does, for my it's like a doubled sight within my mind. Almost like the old 3-D glasses where one lens was red and the other was blue. If you put them on and looked around at normal surroundings, everything looked doubled, like one on top of the other. That's my experience of departed spirits, or really anything ethereal. I can generally pick out details of their features and what they're wearing, but I don't see it the way I can see this computer screen in front of me. It's almost like I have multiple sets of eyes behind these physical ones that pick up vision on different spectrums and translate it to my brain in a way slightly different from the way my physical eyes do. For those sci-fi fans out there, it's a little bit like the Predator's mask with all the different visual settings. Except mine are going all at once, I had to train myself to be able to focus on just one at a time or my senses would get overloaded. I went through a few years as a kid where I had complications from it. I would have trouble understanding what was part of physical reality and what was spiritual, ethereal, angelic, etc. Took some practice. Anyway, a long way to answer the original question, I see them clearly but not in the same way as I see the physical reality around me. |

Hi, Chris, Do yo do readings professionally? And how does one know who is for REAL AND WHO IS A CHARLETON. I so want to despertely find a "REAL" medium or psychic, but do not know what to look for and do not have any money to waste on a fake one. Do you have any advice on finding a real psychic such as yourself? Thank you , kanw,

I studied anthropology because I wanted to understand people's stories. Oddly enough, I learn a lot in my sleep from people who are dead. The information is just as good, though!
