I have a jack russel terrier - she's 7 years old. I've had her for 8 months. All this time, she's been sleeping on the bed with me. A couple of nights ago, I was on the bed and I couldn't get my dog to come on the bed. She refused to sleep in my room that night - which had never happened before. I had a dream that night that a dragon flew into my room and went under my mattress and curled up and stayed there. In the dream, I began fighting with the dragon and as I began waking up from the dream I actually heard myself growling like some wild animal. Since then the dog flat out refuses to sleep with me in the bed. She will keep whining until I come and sleep with her in the living room. What do you think is going on? I've been going through alot of internal changes lately and healing from a traumatic past. I normally would have thought this dream meant I was fighting with some old demons but now with the dog acting like that I don't know what to think. |

I have no idea what to do.... but I feel for your poor doggie. Did he get afraid after the dream or the night before? If it is something paranormal I think calling on a white light and the protection from angels / spirit guides will work. To let nothing that is not positive towards you and your doggie into the room.... |

Another thing might be not paranormal... if she was abused by her previous owner or was a street dog, it could be that you accidentally kicked her in your sleep or that she just got scared of the noises. And that she associates that now with the room...?

Hi rawXstasy, I asked my girlfriend to please provide some insight into your situation. This is what has come up: This situation is being caused by some unresolved issues, some shadows which have somehow been put aside. We all have many things like that in ourselves but when the time comes for some of them to be looked at, understood and released, it is important that we deal with them. If this is not done or not done thoroughly, which is the case here, other dark energies are attracted to them, having a snowball effect. So, in her particular case, those dark energies had remained in her room and even formed that image of a dragon who hid himself under the matress. It is a kind of energy which may even attack the dog and the dog feels it. That is why she is so frightened. And this energy may attack rawXstasy as well. That is why she saw herself figting with the dragon in that dream. There is an important message in there that we should never put our shadows aside but we should deal with them. Otherwise they attract similar stuff to them, making the matters even worse. Sometimes this may even happen without us being aware of it. But as soon as we realize what is going on, we should resolve it the best we can. Of course, the white light, guardian angels, archangels, saints etc. will always help us. But they cannot do all the work us. Everything that happens to us carries a message, a lesson to be learned, a test to be passed. This we cannot skip. And we cannot demand that an angel or whoever does it for us. But if we are willing and open, they will always help us find the best solution. Merrick |

Well either this is just a dog-thing....(dog just doing its own thing)....or you need to do a space clearing because perhaps some energy has got trapped in your room. Bedrooms are places we dream, so they can hold on to energies quite strongly. You could throw all the windows wide open for a day -let the air blow through, and the sun come in, change the bed sheets (no matter how clean the ones you have now are), and after this, smudge the room with burning sage, especially the bed. I have also heard (a friend of mine does this) that quartz crystals placed at the four corners of your bed will help. No doubt the trapped energy has come from you. maybe it's an outward manifestation of some energy trapped within yourself? Do you think that might be the case? If so how can you start to heal that? Anyway, after cleansing the room, I am sure your dog will come back. I understand how weird this must feel because I would be a little bit upset if my dog didn't want to come in my room suddenly. She sleeps with me. |

NDN Scholar - "Maybe the agressive noises and movements you make whilst dreaming scared your dog?" Sounds good to me. I wouldn't depend on "energy" work. Apparently she associates your growling with your bedroom and not you. Probably a good thing. During the day, clean your room thoroughly. Keep gently bringing her in to watch you. Move everything around. Clean behind everything maybe with just water. Not sure if dogs hate the smell of cleansers or not. Or maybe new smells would help. If she refuses just keep calling her name and say please. Maybe put some of her favorite items/toys on the bed. Try to get her to hang out in bed with you. Basic exposure therapy. Works well on humans. Should work on her also. - Pavlov Last edited by sorter; 04-18-2011 at 01:34 AM. |

Before I went to sleep that night she wouldn't go in the room. So I don't think the growling caused it. I did have the dream about the dragon again. This time I was talking to it and I felt much less resistance to it being there. So I think from what others have said and what I've found online is it may be from thoughts or emotions that I have been ignoring. I am going to try the smudging thing. Up to now she still won't go in. Thanks for the replies! Last edited by rawxstasy; 04-20-2011 at 08:25 AM. |
