My Angel book recommendations!

I would like to list some really great angel books I run across and also do a mini-review on them and I would ask other's to also do the same thing here, but please keep your post's to only angel book reviews or questions about the books... etc.... or just discussing the book's in a general sense. Rather than a review of the book, you can also just tell stories about how the book worked for you or what you thought of it.

If anyone would like to add their stories of the Tom Moore books, that's fine too, even though we discuss MBO's in another thread.

One book I have been working with for a while is called "Angel First Aid: remedies for Life, love and Prosperity" by Sue Storm. This book has a fantastic amount of very simple exercises in it where you call out to a particular angel by name such as Tyler the angel of abundance or Evelyn the angel of manifesting and ask them to help you with a particular exercise. The book has an amazing amount of different exercises which are mostly visualizations, but also include other techniques, to help you with a particular area you want help in such as prosperity or bring more money into your life.

I love to do one exercise called "money magnet" (page 115) where you're asked to call in the angel of abundance Tyler and then see him extending his hand and sending out a magnetic beam of light that comes into your body making you a.... mighty money magnet! I did this exercise for about 5 min. or so and later on that day found a 5 dollar bill in the street. I often find all sorts of small change too.... everywhere. I've also had more 5 dollar finds on other days.... so this exercise DOES work and it's nice to have an angel help you with your particular exercise, since you're not going it alone.

I highly recommend this book for anyone wishing to increase their wealth or love life, or even get help in other areas, such as relationships, family, health, success, business, spirituality.

Another interesting angel book is "Calling all Angels: 57 ways to invite an angel into your life" by Joyce keller.

This book put me off a bit when I first started it since I had not run into information like this before on the angels, I didn't know what to think of it. The author says in the beginning of the book that angels like invocations that are somewhat poetic and even sing-song like, and that was a bit strange for me. After reading the introduction, and scanning through, but not actually trying some of the very short invocations, I still didn't think much of this book BUT I'm very results oriented, I want to see or even feel things happening right after I do an invocation, so while going through this book in Barnes & Noble I decided to try an invocation for more energy right there in the bookstore, there were not too many people around so I said outloud, but not too loud, and it worked so well... i was bursting with energy afterwards, which convinced me to buy the book

There are 57 different short invvocations you can use for all sort's of things like increasing your energy, increasing your strength, overcoming fear, for love at first sight, or if you're in a relationship, for lasting love. They are also short invocations for improving relations with children, for healing, to ease stress and worry, for weight loss... etc.... and much more, all these very practical areas are addressed plus the author gives additional tips on these areas for each one, such as what crystals would help you with having more energy or improving a relationship and even weight loss. This book you can really love, once you get into it....its very practical.

I give this book a big thumbs up!!

Here's a quick invocation for more strength, try it, say it outloud 3 times and see if you can feel any energy coming into your body, I always feel something when I say this, and later on in the day I do have more strength. You can say this as many times as you wish all day long, you could even turn it into a mantra you constantly repeat:

Angel of Power
Angel Divine
Reverse all weakness
Let Strength be mine!

Yeah there are very cool exercises in this book, that's why I wanted to showcase book's other than the Doreen Virtue ones I usually talk about. So far the two I mentioned are really great, and not that well known, and I do think they deserve more attention, especially since I'm getting results with them.

There are also some stories of other people using these techniques in this book to manifest all sort's of things besides money... if you don't like one ex. you can try another... until you find one that really suits your intents and purposes.

There's also an ex. called "play money", where you keep fake money in your wallet or purse and everytime you look at it or touch it you feel abundance and in turn real money is drawn to you (this ex. is directly from the angels).

Other exercises are called "stacking cash".... "dollar signs"...."bank rolls"... "easy money" and many more. All of them are very easy to do, if you go from one to the other... BIG things can happen!

Another great angel book is "How to talk with your Angels" by Kim O'Neill.

This is a paperback book that only cost me $7.99, you could probably find it even cheaper than that. This book gives it to you straight and really does break it down on how exactly to talk with your angels. Anyone interested in angel communication would do well to read this. I really enjoyed Kim's "light" and happy style of writing. She has an easy "9 steps to get in touch with your angels" chapter that works really well.

Thanks for the tips veloci! I had just wanted to list some books, I'm sure if people want to know more about them, they can just run over to amazon.com and check them out. If you do a search on amazon.com on just "angel communication" books... wow... you'll find a long list. If I were a newbie to angels and very serious about angel communicate I would read as many of those as I could to get my hands on... even now I've read countless angel books and continue my search since so many new ones are always coming out.

The book "Angels, Compainions in Magick" by Silver RavenWolf is one that might appeal to those interested in "white magic". It has many, many tips and exercises in it for contacting angels, they even show you how to make an angel talisman and how to use it! A fascinating book... to say the least!!

There have been many requests for healing on these forums. The book "The Healing miracles of Archangel Raphael" by Doreen Virtue is a must read.

Besides the stories of people invoking this archangel and having all sorts of very amazing healings, there's also many invocations in the back you can use, that have to do with all sort's of different physical problems.

This book can come in really handy, when you need a physical, emotional of spiritual healing!

As you know I've started using the MBO's (with absolutely astonishing results) and addressed the angelic beings in very general terms, yet now I'm starting to feel a pull to invoke more specific energies for different issues. I'm excited to start experimenting with these and also curious to see if it will amplify the results of my requests.

So far I've found The Angel Bible by Hazel Raven informative and the one exercise I've tried very effective. It introduces the angelic hierarchies and angels or equivalents of different cultures, also angelwork with the kabala, crystals, colors, meditations, astrology, healing and even essential oils. It seems to cater for a very wide range of preferences. So far I am impressed

I've run across The Angel Bible in bookstores before, but only scanned it, I have to take a closer look next time, so thanks for pointing this one out! It's good to see you feel a pull to invoke more specific energies, I've been through that myself, and still use that method, in addition to MBO's.

There's a book I was going to do a post on that I think all beginning and advanced people who are involved with angels should read, it's called "Archangels & Ascended Masters: A guide to working and healing with Divinities and Deities" By Doreen Virtue.

She goes over about 77 different Archangels and Ascended masters in this book and devotes about 2-3 pages to each one, plus she also invokes them and asks them what they would like her to include in this book, and they give her a paragraph or so to inform all the readers of how they work with us and so forth. This is a great reference guide and EVERYBODY invovled with angels should have it on their bookshelf, I frequently refer to it to check out who's who in the Angelic realms plus the other helpers out there.

Also, in the back of the book, Doreen gives out several different invocations on healing, abundance, developing psychic abilities... etc, but what she does is combine many different angels and deities in one invocation, which put's out much more power than usual and in turn you get amazing results. I was impressed when I saw these invocations, since I never thought to use serveral angels and dieties at once. So I learned something new from this book and it's amazinglly helpful.

I highly recommend it, a big two thumbs up for this book!

Out of curiosity, how do you know if you have an angel? I know I am a lightworker, but I don't know if I have an angel. I have 6 spirit guides ^_^ But not sure of an angel. Is there a difference between what angels do and spirit guides??

I gave your question some thought, the way to go it to find a reputable psychic reader and have them tune into your guides and angels and they will tell you if you have an angel or two, or even more, plus they can identify your spirit guides.

Angels are 6th dimensional golden light beings, most if not all of them have not incarnated into the physical planes or had human lives. Spirit guides can be relatives from this lifetime, like your grandmother, after she passes away can become a spirit guide. Also, there are ascended masters, and so forth that can be your spirit guides. People from past lives can also be a spirit guide to you.

You really do need to read up on some angel books, and also do research into spirit guides. I can't give you all the answers here, the best answers will come from your own research.

Oh, thank you Angel. I have been reading Doreen Virtue's book "How to hear your angels". That has been helpful as far as being able to discern if they are communicating with you or not, but I will check out the other books.

"Daily Guidance from your angels; 365 messages to soothe, heal and open your heart" by Doreen Virtue.

This is a very helpful book if you wish to learn more about how the angels can help you. It's made for reading one page each day, but you can just read through it too, which is what I did, just like a regular book. All the messages are channeled from the angels, and they come through with some amazing things to teach you (even Doreen said she learned alot from this book!). Some of the exercises/messages are "Let things come to you", they show you a quick method of having goals come to you by thanking the Unverse for already having help you attain it, and then just let go, sounds too easy to be true, but they said it can work wonders! Another message is "feel your wishes coming true"... again they help you get in on another method of quick manifestation. Another one is "feed the birds"... the angels say they work closely with birds and when you feed them you can tap into this angelic energy....which can be very beneficial to you.

Another message is "visualize angels" if you imgane an angel near you, it's the same as calling out to an angel, they come right away. You can see them walking with you, healing you or helping you in any fashion. You can even imagine talking to them and then them telling you all sorts of things, which will take on a life of it's own eventually.

Another message is "make 3 wishes".... which helps you to speak your wishes outloud so that they can come true, they say this really works if you have faith.

This is a great book for anyone who desires to have the angels give you all sorts of "inside secrets".... I really like this book and I'm going to re-read it now that I'm reviewing it.....lol.

Hey everyone,

I decided to revive angelpsychics thread on angel books since I have been buying and reading a ton of new angel books myself. I have been getting a lot of pm's from people over the past couple of weeks who are interested in connecting with their angels. They also want to know more about how angels can operate in their lives and help them with manifesting. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading every book you can get your hands on about angels if you really want to understand them and see how they can operate in your life.

Most of the books I will be reviewing and/or recommending are by doreen virtue - but I also have a large library of other angel books by other authors I will be talking about. I have been reading about angels for over 15 years now. When I move I will need a room just for my books! lol!

The first book I want to highly recommend is: Angel Numbers 101 by doreen virtue

I have had a lot of people on my threads and people who have pm'd me and asked me what certain numbers mean. This book will not only help you to immediately decipher the meaning behind the numbers. You can also ask your angels to send you numbers all the time to get messages and guidance to you.

Case in point - I asked my angels to send me 5's or 555 ALL THE TIME if happy, rich, positive change is on the way for me. Every single day I see 55 on the clock practically EVERY hour. I'll see 1:55, 2:55, etc. I was even going to buy an angel book and the price was $13.55! Your angels will grant your request regarding numbers and the frequency in which you see it. You just need to ask!

The other thing I have done is if I see a number more than once and I am not sure if it is a sign or not I will ask the angels to start sending me the number over and over if it really is a sign from them. This is a very good book to get you started in communicating with your angels and archangels.

The next book I highly recommend is: Angel Words - Visual Evidence of how words can be angels in your life by doreen virtue. This is a book with amazing VISUAL PROOF of how your positive and negative thoughts create your reality and the power your words have! If you really don't believe your thoughts create your reality - I would highly recommend reading this book and see the proof for yourself.

To tie in with AP's gentle way thread on benevolent mbo's. On pg 29 of the book, there is a story about Jessica who's life had been difficult for many years. She had one job after another and could not stay in college and at 36 was still living at home with her mother. When after a year of looking for a job and not finding one she became desperate for help.

After she started studying spirituality and meditating, she noticed that she frequently started to see and hear the word "benevolent" (which means marked by or disposed to doing good). She started to use the word as a mantra and also focused upon seeing the benevolence in everything and everyone. Very soon she had a wonderful new job that was perfect for her. She says she credits this word with changing her life for the better!

At the bottom it shows a picture of the energy produced by Jessica when she said the word benevolent. It shows the energy as being very large, open and expanded!

I will be reviewing more angel books, angel cd's and an angel candle manifesting kit so look for more to come!

I'm glad to see you wish to keep this thread going, eventually it will have a very good listing of so many angel books.

The Angel Numbers 101 book you mentioned I use almost on a daily basis, I keep it by my computer and find myself referring to it so much. Just this morning I woke up to the number 919... and felt that it was very significant. I often wake up or find myself disturbed by something in the night and when I check my digital clock the numbers often speak to me of messages from my angels. The 919 really jumped out at me as a message.... so I have to look that one up and follow the advice from the book!

Divine Guidance, the book is very good, I've read it several times, I always recommend it to anyone interested in psychic development. It does a very good job of explaining how to increase your channeling abilities too, not to mention giving you many angel invocations to get help from the angels with this.

That is great Laurenaus! I am also going to be reviewing some more things like this angel candle manifesting kit I ordered. This should be very interesting because doreen says that when you work with candles and light your manifesting powers increase 10 fold - so as soon as I receive this kit (I just ordered it on wed) I will be reviewing it. When I use it I will review it later again because it will take a little while to see what kind of results I will get. I also ordered a karma cleansing cd (this even covers severing cords to vows of poverty made in past lives) and some more angel oracle card decks. So be sure to keep periodically checking on this thread for more reviews! Later today I have a couple more books I will be reviewing. I just got up and I need eat breakfast and wake up before reviewing!

Do you want to hear something funny. I went on amazon wed just to buy couple of angel and fairy books and was only planning on spending around $25 to get the free super saver shipping and then I ended up spending $150.00 since there were just so many angel books by doreen that I just could not pass up! I think I bought out the whole doreen virtue collection. Then I just noticed today a cd by doreen on getting connected and working with your angels (I don't know how I missed this) so I am going to order this and see what it does. Man, I need to learn to speed read so I can read faster. I wish we had to ability to put a book on our 3rd eye and all the information in the book would be automatically downloaded into our brain! Wow! wouldn't that be fast and convenient! Well, maybe as we move into higher dimensions this will be possible.

Here's my review of the Angel Therapy Oracle Card Deck by Doreen Virtue.

I've been discussing these angel decks with mallie and we've decided that they should be included in this thread with the angel books. The decks are very important and give you the opportunity to grow much closer to the angels and get really great advice from them, plus they are very easy to use and someone who's just a beginner can get great results the first time they use them, so no experience needed here.

This particular deck has an added feature that is really great that the other oracle decks do not have, as you do your reading and pick any number of cards, each card as has a corresponding explaination in the small instruction booklet that comes with deck. So when you look up the card you just drew from the deck it has a further explaination on it, PLUS an "action step"....which is very important.

For example, if you draw the Archangel Michael card, it says you are working very closely with Archangel Michael on this situation, and gives you the action step, which is an invocation to call on Michael and have him instill more confidence and courage in you.

So besides finding out what cards determine the answers you wish to receive you also have a mini-session with Archangel Michael, or if you choose another card, it has another type of action step wtih a different set of angels.

This deck brings you a little bit more, in the form of invocations to help you with the situation you asked about.... a very HELPFUL addition if you ask me and in turn this deck has been VERY powerful for me, I highly recommend it!!

This is perfect because it ties right in with my next review of the angel therapy meditation cd by doreen virtue. I would think if people work with this cd and the deck it could be a very powerful and insightful combination! I have already done this cd and it is very powerful, cleansing and healing. Doreen calls on about 15 different archangels to come forward and help with healings. These healings even center around any past life issues blocking you from moving forward.

On the back of the cd it says that this cd opens you up to the miraculous power of the angels. You'll work with archangels to release old blocks and toxins, cut cords of fear, heal past-life issues and gain confidence, courage and clairity about your life's purpose and relationships.

The best part for me is when she asks archangel michael to use his cleansing vacuum and clear out all the psychic dirt, toxins and garbage that are stuck in your chakras and aura. She even asks him to vacuum your home, your loved ones and all of your possessions (like your car) of any negativity and lower energy. Now if he would just come over in real life and vacuum and clean my house that would be a spectacular archangel! lol!

Note: I just checked amazon and it's a little screwy because one part says that it is unavailable and they don't know when or if it is coming back in stock, but then if you click on something else - you can order it - so I have no idea what the problem is. I am just going to order this deck and we will see what happens!
