Default Lucid dreaming verses cutting back on sleep

Hey everybody I've been trying to cut back on sleep, as well as expand my dreaming abilities (lucid dreaming and such). The only lucid dreams I've been able to have up to now is when I wake up on weekends and go back to bed. Has anybody been able to successfully cut back on sleep (4-6 hours a day) and still have regular lucid dreams? Any suggestions for this?

Thanks
Erock

I trained myself to go with little sleep.....about five hours or less .... because I have terrible nightmares. It seems the longer I sleep, the more I dream, and the worse they get. About five hours at a time is the most I can sleep and avoid the gruesome dreams. But I seem to have more control over lucid dreams. Perhaps it is because I fear the nightmares, so my mind has put lock and key around my dreams for preservation.

Yeah I used to get nightmares too. Man those stink! I'm still wondering though if anybody has been able to cut back to about 5 hours of sleep and still have regular lucid dreams?
