Is Channeling Energy Like Mass Sex?

I was just pondering how I imagine energy flowing into me and through me. I have been given the visual of depicting a bright white column of white light entering through the top of my head, and filling up my body.

I never really got that to work for me.

Next was imagining sitting in a bath tub, with the fauced over me, and me being kind of a transparent container with a myriad of holes (especially around my feet etc. to make it believable that energy would flow all the way through). So the water would run through a hole at the top of my head into my body, and flow out through all those holes.

This worked better.

A few minutes ago I had a visual about dissolving my physical form, and imagining myself as a large number of "light waves" bouncing around inside a somewhat contained area, and other light waves coming in from up above, intersecting them at roughly a 90 degree angle, and having sex with each other wherever they happen to meet.

I must admit that must be one of the stranger thoughts I have come up with so far. Light waves having sex, i.e. the universal energy, and my own "doing it".

Doesn't feel all that inaccurate, though, when I think about it. What do you think?

It gave me an interesting image in my mind when I read that, and made me smile to picture the light rays having sex, (as much as light rays can have sex that is...)Energy mingling with itself is what sex is like in a sense, so I think it's not far from accurate, though in a metaphysical way of course.

Great use of imagination there eddie. I guess how it makes you feel is the most important thing though, so...how do you feel after visualizing this for a few minutes?

I think it is a rather light-hearted way of envisioning it.

It feels joyful, care-free, and positively empowering.

It made me think of the scene in the movie Xanadu where they are singing "You have to believe we are Magic, nothing can stand in our way"...where they all turn into rays of light and start flying around (I think it was xanadu anyway?)...and that does feel very powerful and exhilerating to me...especially with that song playing.

Hmmm...maybe I'll start using this too, come to think of it.

Does it work for you? (meaning; does it invoke positive feelings of joy, happiness, calm, energy etc?) Great. Keep up the good work.

Does it not work for you? (meaning: does it invoke negative feelings of guilt, shame, hurt, sadness etc?) Change it.



Sounds interesting anyway.. I have to admit, meditating on connectedness and oneness always has a sexual undertone to it for me too.

It's just something that came up in my mind, and I thought it was a rather funny, warm, light, and joyful thing to visualize.

I just love this! The light rays having sex! Wonderful.
I work well with wind. (not gas....Wind) ha ha!
Like standing in a windy place, and I imagine the power of the wind as sparkling and energizing and lifting me on wings. Then everything can feel different and I feel I have more energy from a higher source.

Ohh, that's why that white light thing isn't working for me! I kept on thinking "it feels so sterile... like... the dentist or the doctor's before surgery... "

It seems so obvious that own can change the mental image to fit oneself, but I confess that I've never thought of it before this thread...
