Que--odd dream but wasn't asleep. new here!

ok.. i am new here for starters.. My mind is shooting out so many questions, i could fill this thread page with different ques.. so please bare with my brain here.
first que- every once in a while i am laying down to go to sleep, i am almost asleep and i'm physically paralized. i cannot move at all (scares the $h!t out of me!) and i get these feelings like someone is watching me and it is far from nice!! its like the room gets a little darker also.
It takes every ounce of my energy to move something, a leg an arm, something. once i am able to move something i can come out of it. and that is when i get my scaredy butt out of bed and bee-line it to the living and settle on the couch with a book. I can't lay back down because it will happen again. So i stay up for about 3 or 4 hours, then i am usually ok.

Any ideas?? Or is this a que for a therapist? LOL



second kind of que.. this one i feel weird asking because i have never spoke about this or anything of the sort.

you know how when you first meet someone and you can generally get a feeling for them. like how they are dressed and how they speak, they may seem like a certain type of person... got me so far?

well with me, it goes a little farther, i'm not sure as to how to explain it.. i can tell what type of person they are, how they are like with their family and its like i can picture what their life is at home... if you know what i mean.?

i guess you could call this next one intuition..?? i know within a minute or less when my husband is near or calling me. a lot of times i find myself picking up my phone before it rings..

am i kookookachoo or not? can i hone any of this?

confused and embarrased.. (not sure why i am, but i am.)

i apologize. i wouldn't know where to start to help anyone. i understand that my que's are probably not related to anything paranormal or pshyic or clairvoyance...

I can relate to all of the experiences you are describing. I don't think they are anything crazy, just neat and may not have easy explanations for how or why.

Well the first experience you are describing sounds like sleep paralysis, or perhaps the state between astral projecting and reentering your body (some say you can become conscious in this "inbetween" phase). Personally, I find a distinction between sleep paralysis experiences and what could be the experience of me returning to my physical body (never had a conscious out of body though...still exploring the whole possibility of astral projection and stuff).

Sleep paralysis, which has scientific explanation (you can google, it may help give peace of mind to read a bit on it), occurs for me when very tired, or woken from sleep and having fallen back to sleep...or sometimes during day napping. It is as you described...sometimes I feel panicked as though something bad is coming, other times a wooshing or buzzing in my ears. I try to move but can't, and finally wake up once I do. It usually is not as scary of an experience once I learned what it was. I also have better mental control from meditating now, so I can remain calmer usually, although still have a scary episode now and then. Again, I notice more frequency when more exhausted.

Othertimes, it is similar where I partially awake in the night and may hear the wooshing/buzzing again, but this time also feel a very pleasant tingling all over, and mentally clarity that I may be in a state where I'll be able to project. I am much calmer (no panic or urgency to get out of the state) and try to leave my body or remain conscious...but so far no success.

The other two experiences, I personally think are a combination of being in touch with your instincts and intuition more-so than maybe others, and a good connection to the source. This enables you to be connected with others more deeply, giving you more information (which you are more receptive too b/c of the good intuition).

Being aware of some one calling/contacting before they do is also something I have experienced too with certain people I am close with or were close with at the time. Again, I chalk it up to intuition and connecting on a deeper level with the source and thus others The same goes for reading people deeper.

Not kookookachu at all..just another cool part of life that we may not have full explanations for! Not necessarily anything mystical or magical, I think most of these things do have biological explanations (such as being more in touch with instincts that helps with reading people...picking up on subtle body and verbal cues, energy etc).

Another thing on the sleep paralysis, I too used to be so scared that I couldn't go back to sleep. Once I learned what it was and how it worked, I could better remain calm and remind myself during most episodes that nothing's going to hurt me. I too will have another episode often after waking from the first if I return to sleep. I can now sense the feeling of when I'll slip back into it, and I then make myself get up for a little. I don't know how to make it stop, but has become pretty easy to manage and deal with.

It's sleep paralysis, nothing to worry about.
Sleep paralysis can lead to Astral experiences and "hallucinations".

The second is intuition, you pick up/read the energy of the other person.
