I am ALMOST astral projecting, but can't quite get there... So I've had about 4 or 5 "almost" astral projections...my whole body vibrates, I can feel myself slipping out, I can see my hands over my head moving, touching eachother...but I can't get my head out! It's like my soul head is bigger than my physical head and it gets stuck! I'm so annoyed at this, any suggestions? :-D |
Just before you begin your projection, ask outloud for Archangel Michael and the angels of out-of-body travel to help you, and ask them to make your OBE's better than you could hope for or imagine. |
Hey SISTA!! Summerbreeze also suggested to me to set my alarm a few hours earlier than usual. When it goes off, wake up a bit and then lie back down and begin your astral attempt. When I followed this advice, it worked very well. And now when I go back to sleep in the mornings before the kids wake up, it will happen involuntarily sometimes. Also, look around at the other threads about astral projection. You'll find some others like yours and there may be some good info to help you in them. |
Thankyou both, I'll do both of those things! :-D |
I get the same problem sometimes, though I have astral projected right out many many times in the past. It often makes me wonder why that happens sometimes I've tried to analyze what the reason might be in my case. I've found if I'm in a bit of an "unsure" mood, or lacking confidence, or a little bit upset so I can feel my aura "tighten up" (hard to describe but it feels like I'm all tight in against myself, and not radiating out...) -then that problem is more likely to come up. Also trying too hard can cause it. Sometimes a subconscious fear or apprehension about what's on the other side can cause it. Certainly feeling more confident and more relaxed will help. So that's where a little prayer for guidance and support from Higher Powers (Angelic or Divine) will help. |
Hey there, my experience with OOBEs has been much the same. I feel like electricity is running through my entire body and actually feel myself separate (at least partially) but then I'm stuck! My understanding is that this is part of the whole learning-to-do-OOBEs experience. It's something like: our own fear of the unknown is causing us to get stuck (or at least that's what is going on for me.) For me, the whole environment when I got out was dark and hazy -- and it was really difficult for me to move around. Again, I think this is a symptom of me being a beginner. I agree with the poster above (momo) that it is much easier if you wake up extra early and then go back to sleep right away. All of my OOBEs have been when I woke up sometime between 4AM and 8AM and then went right back to sleep. It seems like once I have been sleeping, it is very easy for me to keep my mind awake while I let my body fall asleep. It might also have something to do with coming in and out of REM sleep as well. Anyways, happy travels! |

Also, what you do after you set the alarm few hours early is get on your computer and play some game requires mental alertness. Maybe a first person shooter game or something. This way your mind is alert, but your body still needs sleep. Its easier to slip out this way. And about the getting stuck at the head region thing, maybe your third eye or crown chakra is closed. Before bed, so some chakra meditation and focus on those two to open. And check out summerbreeze's thread:http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/p...much-more.html |
Good suggestions in this thread. As someone who has been trying for over a year I will certainly take these suggestions to heart. :) |
Same here! Vibrations, noises, floaty but not all the way "out". Quote:
