Occasionally seeing a tiny luminescent dot?

For the past 18 months, and I don't think ever before then, I've been seeing every few days a small, but beautiful, white/multicolored dot appear somewhere in my vision. It will appear gently, sparkle a bit, and then disappear. It's been happening more frequently lately. I can't tell if it's something in my vision, or if it's something spiritual. Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Does anyone know what this could be if it's spiritual? It's a lot different from just regular visual static, and it happens relatively infrequently.

Edit: I just protected myself and asked it to show itself to me, assuming it is something spiritual. I saw it in my peripheral for a briefer moment and MAYBE a couple other brief moments, but those times were harder to tell. I also got a feeling of inner warmth.

And now, I'm seeing a lot of vague stuff flashing not in my direct vision. Like.. weirdly. I hope I didn't open some weird door.

When my angels are around, or the angelic realm in general wants to get my attention, I see a white fleck of light, somewhat like what you see. It's always off to the side too... most of the time anyway. To me it sounds as if your angels are trying to get your attention. I also see a blue orb from time to time, in the same fashion, which I think could be an elemental (fairie or deva)... trying to get my attention. Seeing these things also means your clairvoyance is starting to come online... which is a good thing. Hang in there and ask these lights to appear more to you... or give you "signs"... talk to them... it might give you insights into who they are.

Thank you for your post! It helps to know that others have experienced this too. It was after I asked it to show itself to me that I knew it was probably something spiritual. Bah, just saw it again as I was typing that. It was more multicolored/red this time, though.

I'm still a bit fearful of opening myself up to the spirit realm due to many inhibitions I have, so even asking one, even a good one, to show itself to me is a big step. Usually I try my best to close myself off from this sort of thing as I need to work on protecting myself more. Thanks again.

i'm having the same kind of thing happening to me lately. I sometimes see i little sparkle of light for half a sec. But when i look straight into it, it dissapears.

As we approach 2012, I'm sure some people have already heard that the veils are thinning between the 3rd and 4th dimensions, this is one of the signs, seeing these little sparkles. So hopefully everyone reading this can be happy about seeing these things... even if they don't make sense. These little "signs" can do wonders for your spiritual development.

In my case, I've spotted them a couple times in ways that can't be an event in my eyeball. So have less doubt than you that I am actually seeing something in the environment.

Very interesting to read. When you see them, do you feel them as something spiritual?

For me, I'm not sure. I don't particularly feel them as spiritual, although I have always thought it perhaps was. I got kind of creeped out when I asked it to show itself to me and then I saw all sort of dark stuff flashing by in the peripheral. That doesn't usually happen with something visual.

I almost never open my eyes in the dark or go outside in the dark (solely because I do not want to see spirits; out of sight, out of mind), so I've only experienced this in daytime. And it does seem different from regular static, but sometimes it seems small enough to perhaps be static. But static does not make itself known like this does. This kind of appears, and sparkles, and then disappears. It doesn't move, though.

Then it sounds like we're not seeing the same thing. Since mine most definitely drift around, and don't tend to appear in the corner of my eye, usually. In my opinion anything seen in the peripheral vision should be discounted, I find it to be a zone that is highly susceptible to imagination. Like if i watch some particularly scary ghost show episode, and it starts getting to me, I'll start seeing things on the corner of my eye. That's completely just imagination, so I wouldn't count anything you can't look at directly, personally.

By default I would say 'spiritual' just because it's clearly not normal or material.

In my case, in the moments I see them, I do get a sense that there's some awareness to them, but not sure how aware. Like if you're in a room with someone or an animal or a bug, something 'alive' but can't get any sense of a specific intention from it. Can't even tell if it is aware of me, since I have yet to have a direct interaction. I don't feel comforted or threatened, rather I just feel uneasy because I don't know what it is/wants/does. It's mostly the fact that I 'catch' them hovering around the room while I sleep that kind of creeps me out.

Now that I think about it, the time I most often catch them is when moving around a dark room, or when waking up in the middle of the night.

The luminescent dot, I see in front of me and can look at directly. It was just the other stuff that was in my peripheral.

I also feel like there might be some awareness to it, but I don't know if we're seeing the same thing. We don't have to be. My main question is if this is something spiritual or if I'm just seeing stuff.

Yeah, I suppose nobody can answer the part about "am i just seeing things", until you see it interact with the environment such as pass behind something, or cast light onto a surface. The spiritual part is open to interpretations. That's what I'm here for too, just hearing ideas/thoughts, or maybe pointing me in a direction of research.

I thought I was on to something when I found someone refering to it as 'prana', but when I looked that up, it was described as doughnut shaped, with sometimes a dot in the middle. So the search continues.

I don't have the guts to try and talk to it though, partly because I would feel silly, partly because of bad experiences in the past (don't want to contact something without knowing more about it first).

After I had brain cancer and radiation treatments, once in awhile I would notice a colored dot in the periphery of my vision, and it would go away after a few minutes, and would happen maybe once a month. Now it may happen once a year or less. It never happened before my big surgery, and it hasn't happened in awhile, but it never really concerned me. But if it is happening frequently or constantly, I would probably get it checked out.

I'm wondering if what i have been seeing is the same as described above or something else..? Instead of seeing a luminescent dot, I keep seeing a very colorful squiggly like line. its always in my left eye. it has colors like a prism also.. not sure what it is..?

any ideas?

See an eye doctor just to be safe, because a squiggle specifically would suggest some kind of problem in the eye (blood vessels/nerves are squiggles), especially since it's always in your left eye.

i have and they don't see anything. it has only happened four times. when i see the colorful line in my left eye, my right eye goes blurry.

Once again I wouldnt look for a paranormal explaination to this one. Add in the blurred vision, this is clearly something going on in your eye. I'm not saying something horrible, but it could be as simple as ocular migraines. It could be something in the brain as said by the other person above.

Also, don't let a couple doctors tell you there's nothing wrong with a body system you can clearly feel is having issues. I had appendicitis for 9 years before the dickheads finally 'found' it (when I had to threaten a scene at the ER if they didn't scan me NOW). To quote the DR "You don't need a scan, I can tell just by looking at you." (never been so close to violence against a person).

Surprise surprise, 1 scan 40 minutes later, they won't let me leave without an operation because my appendix is critically swollen. OH REALLY????? 9 years you bunch of F---s

I get it too...for many years now. It's definitely different in quality from regular floaters and dots that can appear when I rub my eyes etc.

Not sure what it is , though I have read many theories from people I don't know.

those you see when rubbing our eyes is different....i see it too but i can differentiate those i see while my eyes are close or open from that i see when rubbing or pressing my eyes

I see specks/dots of light for many years.
Sometimes they are white or purple, but usually they are a very beautiful blue. They appear around people when I am talking to them. Sometimes I see them in my peripheral vision. I will see them when I meditate with my eyes open focusing on a candle. When I try to focus on them they disappear. Lately (after some trauma/death in the family) the specks/dots have gotten a bit larger.
I have assumed they have to do with spirit, but I have not tried to talk to them.

I had my first experience with a tiny bubble last week. It was blue irridescent and 1/8 inch and approx. 9 inches in front of me moving from the left to the right and before changing course on my right side moving and disappearing into the sofa. It was not a floater.

Yesterday, I saw another, same size, color, and distance again moving from the left to the right.

I have been seeing the blue orbs or little blue ball's of light too. But just this past week the frequency is increasing and I'm seeing them almost everyday now, usually at night. So I would imagine others are also having this happen, it's been said that these blue balls are your soul and other people say it's an angel, maybe archangel Michael, and still others attribute these to fairies, so it could be any of them.

like others have mentioned, it could be migraines. i know that the few times i have had auras preceding a migraine or bad headache it looked like a white-ish and/ or multicolored sparkling dot/ spot (sometimes they were bigger than others). while not the most scholarly source, webmd.com has a pretty decent overview article about migraines.

that said, i have also experienced seeing random dots of light. when i was in high school there was this red dot across from my bed. i only saw it at night after i had turned off my lights, and it didnt matter what itme of night it was, it was always there. many times i tried to find a source, but couldnt.
