I've been writing down my dreams, but i'm wondering if using like a voice recorder or some kind of equivalent would be better. I can't write very fast, and i need to work on my talking/speech skills. but isnt there some kind of connection if you actually write it out on paper. i remember there was a disscusion about writing on paper -vs- typing on a keybord. so what do you think. writing on paper -vs- recording audio

I think writing on paper is better, it's just another way to give your thoughts a visual form. Also, you can always look a few lines back to confirm what you've written down so far - you can't really do this with audio. Probably the biggest argument for me would be the fact that I wouldn't want to wake any of my family up if I suddenly start talking into a dictophone in the middle of a night |

I agree with greys...I think writing is best too. Most of the time I write the whole dream, however if I wake up at 2:45am and know that I need to be up early; I write only the most important parts - I try to make it as brief as I can. But I usually write enough so that just by reading over the notes I can still remember the whole dream. |

I wrote them down for a few weeks when I was starting, but then I got a voice recorder, and I like it more, because I don't even have to turn on the light, and when I would write it down, I sometimes wouldn't have enough motivation to turn the lights on and get the journal.

I use the Notebook feature on my windows computer. I have kept one for over a year now, and I must have over 300 entries and 700 + dreams recorded on there. It is interesting to look back at the dreams you had earlier in the year. It is almost like looking at a photo album of your dreams.
