Could I have psychic abilities?

Now, I know some people say that everyone has psychic abilities, but I'm not interested in that. I truly believe only some people have the ability, purely because their soul has enough experience to become sensitive like that.

So, I guess I'll just give a list of my experiences, starting with 2 years ago (when I became spiritually open) all of the following are within a 3 month period:

-- I came in my room one night and across the room saw an orange trapezoidish shaped thing and heard an odd click sound, and then it was gone (never had anything like that happen before)

-- One morning I woke up and I turned on my light, but fell asleep slightly again. When I opened my eyes, there was this oddly shaped black figure in front of me, in mid air. It went away within a second or two.

-- One day, my spiritual (and psychic) friend dropped me home after we hung out. Her eyes got a little freaked out and she told me she wouldn't tell em what it was she saw (on another occasion, she saw a black figure briefly attach to me, at her house). Later on the phone, she described it as something in my house that is not there because of me, but that because I live here it will inevitably affect me in some ways. Later that evening, I was playing a video game and in my upper right vision, I saw it appear. It was very real, and I saw its energy. It was like a black cloud. It went away within a second or two.

After these experiences, plus some scary dreams (I've had some wake induced lucid dreams before where I'm in my room and I'm laying in my bed and there is a dark energy above me, and I wake myself up as soon as possible), I started to protect myself more. All the time, I have had protection since I guess around 20 months ago or so. There have still been some interesting experiences, but this time positive.

-- I can sense energy within my energy field very very well. I can mentally see the color of it, how murky, etc.

-- When talking with a close online friend, I got the sense that there was a lot of negative energy in his house that was affecting him and starting to affect me, so I chose not to talk to him anymore as he didn't want my help. I know it was the right decision.

-- Two months ago, I met someone in one of my college classes. We did a group assignment and didn't really say much to each other. However, I intuited that he was an only child and a Christian. A couple weeks later I found these things to be true.

Does it seem that perhaps I could have any natural psychic abilities if I developed them more? I've somewhat just began on my spiritual path (2 years), but then again, many people report higher sensitivity as a child, and I don't recall any spiritual experiences as a child (except believing, to my parent's humor, in reincarnation at age 3 without knowing what it was and being paranoid of ghosts ever since my mother told me they were real). I have some other, more subtle experiences, but I'd only know if they were psychic experiences if I had had the chance to confirm them at the time. Thanks! =)

Everyone has intuitive abilities

No seriously, I would look at it that they are relative and always present.
Some people are more sensitively wired in some areas, it depends, you can find that out.

My first impression is that your emphasis is on the heart chakra, which is mostly connected to empathy.


When you use them they will improve

Thanks for your reply. What you said about people merely having different strengths makes sense. And it's not that I want to think that I'm somehow special and this feeds my ego or whatever, it's just that I see people having different strengths -- some people are stronger spiritually whereas others are stronger in the other 5 senses and such.

But what you said about my emphasis being on the heart chakra makes sense. I do feel a lot of empathy with people, like weirdly sometimes, and I didn't even mention that in my post! =D

We often use our Ego to let our Ego out of the game, you can't fight the ego, because that would be a mental concept by the ego

If you think that you have certain abilities, than it is often wise to develop them to the degree that you have control over them or are aware of their nature.

There are threads in the forum, from other empaths.
I suggest you to read more about it and to control it, because it has a downside too.

Maybe you feel often drained of energy or stressed when hanging out with specific people without knowing rationally why.
Or you feel like a chameleon when hanging out with different people.

I do feel drained sometimes, and really try to protect myself. It's mostly positive emotion, though. Like when talking to my friend about his girlfriend.. I can feel his love and happiness for her.

Everything is in a further sense energy, so everything has an "energy signature" you can pick up, without clinging to specific things.

For example, I've the feeling that your are working on your throat chakra, with the things you are doing currently.

That's interesting. You might have actually been right. Last night I read this and looked up all the chakras and cross compared, and it was either the 3rd or 5th(throat) that I was focusing on when I wrote that.

Do you know of a good resource that compares the different psychic "emphases" or abilities one can have?

Also, does anyone else have something to contribute? It's all greatly appreciated

Anybody can develop psychic abilities.

Apparently, 100 years ago, only 1 person out of 100000 had psychic abilities. Now, with the 2012 shift, 80% of the people have psychic abilities but not all are aware of it or know how to handle it.

If you are having visions or seeing things that are not in the physical then I would believe that your Third Eye Chakra is very powerful. I normally only see things with my third eye when I am in a lucid dream or dreamlike state.

I took an online Psychic course by Sonia Choquette about six years ago. It helped me to refine my Psychic abilities. I am no professional psychic by any stretch though, but I have had my share of prophetic dreams and visions and definitely can feel energies around me.

It seems people are defining psychic abilities by which chakra(s) are stronger. I can accept that everyone can develop psychic abilities, because most of the time people are blocked anyways, but I still believe some are more naturally able, based on what I've read and people I know. *shrug*

For instance, my friend that I mentioned in the OP has been able to see auras her entire life, but only recently has been seeing the COLORS. So in her case, she's naturally stronger than, say, me, because I still haven't seen auras, no matter how much I try and have developed other ways spiritually. (Actually, sometimes I think I can see someone's aura, but I'm pretty sure it's just a dragging afterimage, if that makes any sense).

Yes some people are more prone to psychic ability than others. Just like some people or even families produce offspring who are more prone to singing, dancing, acting, politics, etc.

It's in the genetics, plain and simple. Some people develop their psychic abilities later in life, and some also deny their abilities.

The chakras are conscious, they relay psychic information to the body. At this point the body can choose to allow the information or deny it.

The chakras are your direct connection to the spiritual world, it's not your mind, not your brain, and not your physical body. The chakras are part of your soul which is your energetic spiritual system. The soul encompasses the body, not the other way around.

Our physical body is in the process of being upgraded through the DNA to be able to receive more psychic information from the soul. This may be the cause of you friends psychic ability improving and yours as well.

The way that I learned to see aura's was to stand in front of the mirror preferably with a light background. Look about six to eight inches above the head, you eventually will begin to see the energy and color of the aura.

Interesting theories.

You seem to mention two different things, though. One is that we have spiritual gifts hardwired in our DNA, and the other is that it's not physical at all but merely on the spiritual realm, channeled through our chakras.

The physical body is a tool or vehicle used for accessing information from the spiritual world via the chakras. Just like a computer is used to access the wide world web.

In this case the physical body would be a computer, the chakras would be the internet, and the spirit world would be the world wide web that we are accessing.

The spiritual world is always present, even though we may not be able to access it. The world wide web is always present even if we aren't able to access it.

So what I am trying to explain is that the body is the secondary receiving vehicle for spiritual information. The chakras and the soul would be the primary.

If you did not have a body and were only in spirit form, you would have no problem with receiving spiritual information. The body is a hindrance to most for accessing and receiving spiritual information. The physical body is very dense and often times not user friendly.

The DNA is going through an upgrade which will make the body lighter, and also will make it easier to receive and access information from the spirit.
