I can’t remember the last time I had a lucid dream, but it’s still the way I plan to communicate with my spirit guide (the primary way, anyway). I don’t really put much thought and effort into it all anymore, which is obviously going to have a huge effect on what happens and what fails to happen, but it’s still sitting in my mind. I did have a few experiences, though. My plan, as mentioned in the past, has always been to head into the field at the back of my house (it has to be covered with snow), and I will call upon my guide there. There were a few occasions where I managed to get there, some where there was a similar scenario and there came some activity, and I even drew some unusual activity outside of that scenario. I've gone from wolves to jack russells, and I do remember the jack russell shaking its head whenever I'd ask it about the wolf being my guide, if it could be, etc. I often tried to use cats to trigger lucidity, because I’d see them quite a lot in my waking world, usually passing through my back yard. Likewise, they were almost constantly appearing in my dreams. Unfortunately, it didn’t gel very well and I would fail to perform reality checks upon seeing cats in my dream. However, it's no surprise, because I would often forget to perform the reality check when I'd see them in the waking world, too. Last night as I was going to sleep, considering that’s the point when I can start hearing voices and the like, I decided to establish a connection with my ‘highest guide’. I tried, anyway. There was one point when I heard something saying ‘Pay date! Pay date!’, but I don’t think that was the guide. I did also emphasise the usual ‘snowy field’ scenario in my head and hoped for the best that I would become lucid. This time, I have a feeling a guide or a higher consciousness was trying to trigger my lucidity, mid-dream. During the dream, I was looking out the window. My back yard and the field were both in sight, and it was snowing to the extreme. It was really coming down hard. I then saw a cat outside. I opened the window, leaned out, and tried to get it to climb its way onto the neighbour’s roof so it could jump and reach the window. That way, I could get it inside away from the snow, which was coming down as if it were a storm. The cat didn’t come over, but eventually was called in by what must have been its owner. Another neighbour, calling it by the name of ‘Destiny’. I’ve said it before - all of my dreams are lifelike, vivid and clear, but I guess so much so that once again I was tricked into believing it was all the waking world and I went on about my business. Question. Why is it that a spirit guide cannot simply jump in front of you and bluntly tell you that you are dreaming? Are they not allowed to do this or something? If they did that, even telling me to perform my reality checks, then I would obviously become lucid. Has anyone had any guides do that for them? If not, why do you think it is that they don’t when they could? |

Hi, the phase between being awake and asleep is very interesting. You most likely establish there a connection to your guides. From my own experience: When it goes to dreaming, they don't show up in their real form, because it's mostly not graspable, the closest to most of them will get to their real form is in lights or a fog. Normally they go into your dreams as regular persons, they have no specific appearance, but they chose similar forms and you can identify them they have a similar energy - no matter what shape they formed in your dream. Often they chose forms of celebrities to catch your attention, but often they even don't want to catch your attention very clearly and are waiting for you. You probably know this feeling, when you meet in a dream a person where you could swear that you know him/her from somewhere. Examples: I have one guide showing up, as a black male. He's a teacher, I find him often in dreams where I'm in a class or lecture. He shifts into forms like Barrack Obama, Will Smith and others. One Guide often looks like a regular happy boy, but when you get closer to him, he seems "allknowing". He often shows me books, which show me other lifetimes. Another Guide is a female, she chooses often to be a woman in my age, but very radiant and overly naturally attractive. She often nudges me from behind or sits next to me and smiles at me. I don't know what she represents but if she would be incarnated I would be so after her But also the appearance of dogs and cats is often chosen by them, which is from a mythological background very symbolic. I think the key is to become sensitive for energies. My guides tend to leave me in my dreams alone when I'm going in a non-constructive, more negative and so on phase of being. Often when we think, that we need them most, they don't come, it's because they can't help us until we solved the inner conflict ourselves, that's why we are choosing some parameters before incarnating. We often go into the trap to think that others can solve our problems and they know exactly what you want. It's difficult to understand if we are in the trap of our thinking, but from another perspectives it absolutely makes sense. They are guides, so if we are heading the right direction without conflict, you will be most in tune with them, in my opinion. ~sb |

Interesting information, SB. Thanks for sharing. There was actually a celebrity in one of my dreams this morning. The only thing is... I absolutely HATE her. However, in this dream, she was being nice to me, so it made me feel confused. I don't think that was a guide playing about, though, but you've got me thinking now. As ever, I was dreaming of cats again. This time, I was able to draw other a cat that always runs away in the waking world. Once again, it didn't cross my mind to perform the reality check. I think I need to get my mind into a relaxed position and start focusing on what I need to do again, such as writing down my dreams and so forth. To be honest, if I did meet a guide now, it would probably just tell me to keep doing what I'm doing, as I am taking the steps I need to resolve certain issues in my life and there's not much else I can do. You've definitely given me some things to think about. |

Your best chance of having a more obvious encounter with your guides in the dream state is to suggest, or request outloud for them to make themselves more obvious to you. You may have to repeat this every night for a long time before you see results. At some point you should see some type of more obvious sign.... how this comes about will probably be just right for you. | |

Did this tonight and it worked. You might want to give it a try. I placed a short letter under the pillow, to answer me a question in a dream which can be remembered, or having the clarity after waking up. Address it to "angels, spirit guides, ascended masters and Askashic record masters" 20 minutes before I usually wake up they put me in a dream, where I talked to a guide. I was sitting at a table learning and she asked me what I'm learning and so on. then she pulled me out of the body and we had a very nice talk, about my future ~sb |

I see how it can feel ridiculous to do these kind of things, I've felt this way too. We should begin to enjoy the "wtf-are-you-doing-moments", because they often lead us to new things that serve us. It's mostly like being schizophrenic, one side wants to do it and the other questions it - it's just ego and conditioning and you get quickly over it. It's not directly helping you to get more lucid in your dreams, it's more about contacting your guides. Many ways lead to Rome, you can for example ask your guides or whatever to help you with Astral Projection. What do you want to know about the letter? Just write what feels adequate, it's just intention and not black magic. Use one of these magical words like "Thanks" or "Thank You". ~sb |

I think I managed to get in contact with my guides by simply meditate before I fell asleep and asking them to make contact with me through my dream. Must say that If It actually worked, my guides are masters at being persistent and straight to the point Oh and about the question: "Why is it that a spirit guide cannot simply jump in front of you and bluntly tell you that you are dreaming?" (I apologize for the following story but I enjoy writing about my dreams :P ) I had a very interesting dream where I believe one of my guides had been following me for some time until I realized that I was dreaming and happily announced "Hey I'm in a dream! To witch he answered with an amused smile: "You have been doing that for quite some time now... " That slightly annoyed me as I knew he had been around for so long so I asked him why he didn't tell me already from the beginning. I can't remember what or if he answered but as I woke up I had the feeling that if our guides would simply jump in and make us aware of our dream state, it would completely remove the whole challenge. I don't think we would learn as much as through the struggle and effort we make in order to achieve consciousness in our dreams. They can give hints even obvious ones, but it is still up to us to actually notice them. And If you do they are more then happy to talk to you about it ^^ |

You are always welcome and thanks for sharing. When you talked about problems again, most problems are not real, they are just our mind in conflict with it self. When you have approach anxiety with people and you ask for help - what will happen? You will get more situations where you can train to condition your mind, like facing situations where you have to approach people. There is no one with a magic stick making the personality "unhappen" that you built your whole life, we are creators/gods in physical form ourselves. Not the situations themselves are the problems, we are with our thinking the problem. ~sb |

Is it possible to have a Spirit Guide who is an actual living person? Reason I ask is someone used to come to me as a Guide on the Astral, years ago now. He was a living person whom I used to meet from time to time. But he never ever wanted to talk about those things that happened. But he would often show me signs....like playing the same music as I had been playing the night he visited me....or bringing up in conversation something we had been talking about out of body....and odd things like that. Our association ended. It was as if I had to learn new things in different ways. But from time to time he would return briefly like "keeping an eye on me"...then he was gone again. Any thoughts anyone? Has anyone else had a Guide for a certain amount of time, who was alive in the physical world? |

Last night/this morning I had a dream where someone higher, maybe my higher self or God or someone, "introduced" me to my spirit guides. lol I can't remember much about it anymore. But I remember the look of one. Seemed to have a young appearance, almost cartoon like, a rambunctious personality. I remember the look on his face -- kind of like a joyful, innocent closed mouth smile. He had brown hair. Ears kind of stuck out. He was sitting. When I think of the other one (I've sensed for a long time I have two right now), I can't remember from the dream. I just envision kind of a white/gold light. They didn't say anything to me. It was kind of just a narration from my higher self or God or whoever was introducing me to them. Anyway, the one I can remember (the rambunctious one), seemed to have dreamlike qualities. You know, the whole thing seemed like a dream (but during it I knew it was a dream, although I wasn't lucid). What I mean is, my spirit guides, or at least the first one, was bizarre enough for it to maybe have just been a creation of my own mind. Not to mention his human appearance, although that could just be to make me feel more comfortable. It's hard to verify these things for yourself. During the dream, I asked myself, this is a dream so should i believe this? And my answer to myself was, yes, this is real, I can sense them. But remembering it awake, it seems a tad strange. Good luck. My best advice would be to ask, every night, to have God or your higher self show you your spirit guides in dream and have you remember the dream. I didn't ask so I wouldn't know if it works. |
