| Hi, This topic has been puzzling me for quite a while is there such a thing as inner guidance. As I was looking into the topic after reading some intuition exercises and I came across this in a Buddhist meditation forum. Well one of the members was saying that all sentient beings (humans) have access to inner guidance or intuition and he believed that to access this wisdom you would have to still you mind through meditation and the answers would appear before you. One more thing how can innate wisdom manifest itself when you do clear the unnecessary chatter in your mind? The orignal quote the member posted on the forum is below. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++ Perhaps by using your mind you can't tell but you can meditate and when you are still and at peace ask the question if he is the one to be your teacher. You will know the answer. Don't let your doubts take it away by thinking about it once you receive it and return to your present state. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++ As a skeptic I found this quite difficult to believe as I have been practicing meditation for some time. But nothing like this has ever happened to me during my practice. So then I tried asking for guidance on an emotionally charged area of my life from which I cannot seem to move past. My initial question was what do I do about this situation? The answer that came back was quite surprising “to let go of the problem as it will solve itself”. It at first baffled me and still does to some extent as I am trying to figure out how this problem will solve itself by letting it go. During the meditation a strange thing happened initially I felt a rush of energy and some other psychic phenomena associated with that. I did hear a voice my initial reaction was that I was imagining it but this couldn’t be further from the truth but I saw no form but what I did hear was like a voice from afar and yet quite near. It was as unmistakable as some human voice and definitely speaking to me, and gentle at the same time. I was not dreaming at the time I heard this voice. Once you do ask for guidance as I have just demonstrated. How do I put those words into practice as I do believe that answer might just help me to move on? Please let me know what you think of this topic and I hope you can help Regards |

| I understand where you are comming from I think. My current lessons are all based on trusting inner guidance. I have only been at this a few weeks but so far have progressed dramatically. When I get into a meditative state and ask questions I usually get answers in my own voice and usually before I even finish forming the question. (this is quite annoying). This usually leads me to believe that it is just my own imagination making up the first answer it can think of, which makes me skeptical. It was only until I tried trusting these immediate answers that I realized my own wisdom. I do not know whether it is my spirit guides, angels, higher self, subconscious mind, or all of the above that is providing me with the answers. All I know is that they have been right just about every time. whenever they are wrong, it is due to an emotional interference in the forming of the question or analyzing of the answer (really REALLY wanting it one way or reallly REALLY scared of another). Anyways, I have never experienced any physical reactions except CONSTANT TWITCHING ever since I got my energy flowing Would you mind sharing more detail about your experience? I like hearing other ideas to play around with. Which I guess goes against the whole inner guidance thing huh haha

| My friend a spiritual Masters inner guidance is primarily working with the three internal limbs of Yoga; concentration, meditation and for those very advanced students, samadhi. It is through the stilling and silencing of our mind in concentration, and the expansion of our consciousness in meditation, that a Guru can begin to be of service to us in elevating our consciousness. Even if it is only for a short period of time, we need to be able to practise concentration and meditation on a daily basis, so that we can create receptivity in our inner life.
