Recurring dreams of being molest by my loving aunt.

For the past couple of weeks I'm being plagued by this horrible horrible dream. Its affecting me and my normal functioning a lot, which is why I'm posting a separate thread and not in the dream interpretation thread. Because even though I'd love for people to help me figure it out, I mostly want this dream to stop occurring. Its making me sick

I have this aunt, my Mom's sister. She has been nothing short of an angel for all of my life, we are very close. She now has a baby daughter and I visit her and play with her all the time. So basically, I have a very healthy relationship with her and she is a woman with a heart of gold.

But for the past two week almost everyday, I get this dream where I'm a young girl again and my aunt starts talking to me in a very perverted/disturbing way and then she goes on to molest me. I wake up feeling ACTUALLY violated, like I've actually been raped. After which I go through the rest of the day feeling dirty and lost. And a few days back I saw a lady talk about her experience of being raped and I burst out crying like I actually went through it and like I get what she is saying.

But still, the worst part is that, its about my sweet sweet aunt. I took some pills also to go into to deep sleep, but still this dream always comes and its extremely vivid.

Please help me, I don't know where else to go with this bizarre and embarrassing issue of mine.

Could it simply be a case where you feel left and betrayed by your aunt (on some deep emotional level, not a logical level) because she has her own baby now?

The unconscious mind thinks in metaphors and I think that although only you can figure out what it means (it's your mind after all) that it is more likely to convey the sense of betrayal then an actual abuse situation.

I don't think I feel betrayed as such. Believe me I've given this a LOT of thought. I ignored it at first and last night it felt worse than ever. As in, this dream is getting more 'intense'. I think if I figure it out, the message will be in my conscious mind, so it won't manifest as dreams. (I hope)

So, I'll see if feeling betrayed is the reason I'm having this dream. Any other ideas would help too.

Maybe you are working out some karmic issues in dreamspace. I have had some dreams that disturbed me as much as being awake and really going through it. It's an awful feeling regardless.

You might want to try becoming lucid during the dream and fighting her off. I've had my share of bad dreams, but hardly ever a recurring one. I remember having this one recurring dream as a child, where a gorilla wearing orange gym shorts would start attacking me in my family and we locked it in the bathroom and called the cops and the cop was killed. Traumatizing, yes. Funny today? Yes, but I remember how terrified I was when I woke up and thought I saw a gorilla sitting in a chair in my room.

There has to be a reason why you are dreaming that your aunt molested you. You should probably look into your past and see if you are repressing any memories. It probably wasn't your aunt who did anything to you, but maybe someone else, or possibly in a past life. Like I said, I don't usually get recurring dreams, but perhaps someone else on the forum has a similar experience.
