Healers, what is your story?

Hello all,
Over the past year I have heard my calling, loud and clear. I am a healer. I have apparently done this in many past lives?! I am not exactly sure which direction I am being lead with it but I can't wait to find out! I have had my Reiki 1 attunement which has helped me stop using my own energy and learn a routine. When I do a healing I start out doing the Standard reiki treatment and then at some point I seem to go on auto pilot and do some other sort of treatment all together! I have been just going with it and it is an indescribable feeling. It seems to just move my hands where they are needed and in some cases remove blocks and even a spirit attachment! The funny thing with the spirit is I knew exactly what to do to send it to the light! I didn't even have to think about it.
I have received training through dreams and feel as if I am being guided while doing a healing.
I do plan on taking more formal training and was curious what other healers
or aspiring healers had taken. What modalities do you use? Is anyone self
taught? Is anyone spirit taught?

I'm not sure how very much of a healer I am but I have cured pains and such, and once stabilised a rather rough condition. I did reiki too but just like you, go on autopilot most of the time. It's very much as you described.

I don't know what else I can say. I don't have a huge amount of experience. I can give you validation on the autopilot thing, though. Seems like you were born to do this.

I know I am supposed to trust it but in these early stages the validation sure does help.

I have been a healer for about 20 years and I am self taught. I have been to healing groups this was only to attain the certificates that are needed for Insurance purposes when working with the general public.

I look upon healing In the same way as I do meditation In that no-one can really teach you how to do it. We are all Individual with different mind-sets and we all work with different guides and energies.

What works for me may not work for you.

Lots of quiet time In meditation and lots of practice Is what you need. The blend with your guides will be a natural and gradual process.

I am planning on taking training for the certificates as well. I always can find something useful in most of the modalities I have researched but will most likely be doing my own style.
Andrew I have never felt comfortable with the term healer either. Maybe I am a Mojo enhancement coordinator or something.

Welcome. I'd say look for all the validation you can get. I don't think it ever does any harm.

Just curious, what do some of you see while working on someone? I have started to visualize chakras and can sometimes see chords and blockages.

i don't get chakras all that much - well maybe energy centres but i don't see spinning coloured wheels - but i often see threads of energy, colours, patches of darkness, or "feel" pains. I also sometimes get tiny images in their heart or other places, which are memories which have got stuck in their energy body.

I sometimes pull these images out, sing to them and transmute to a harmonious vibe, then put it back in.
