Default Dreaming drought after first lucid dream?

I've been recording my dreams for several months now, in hopes of achieving a lucid dream. I was getting to the point where I was remembering 1-3 dreams per night, and about a week ago, I had my first lucid dream.

The problem is, since then, I haven't remembered a single dream. I'm wondering what happened, just coincidence, or what?

Strange that you're not remembering your dreams now that you've come so far. I never have a night go by where I don't remember several dreams. It's hard for me to fathom there are people who can't recall their dreams.

Are you more stressed now than you were before? Sometimes if something is weighing heavily on my mind I will have some trouble with dreams and recall and even getting to sleep and getting to REM. Anything going on in yoru waking like that could be interrupting you a bit?

Well, I did just have a Chapter Test in math today, but I wasn't very stressed about that, and I have a Biography Project due tomorrow, but I was on top of that as well.

Since I had the lucid dream I've actually been doing 5 - 15 reality checks with a digital clock per day. I need to try your consciousness thing though, where you stare at the ceiling and try to catch yourself falling asleep.

I've been thinking about dreams nonstop since I had the lucid dream, do you think maybe that's why? The thing I start thinking about when I'm spacing out in class is dreams and lucid dreams. maybe because I'm thinking about them so much, my mind is suppressing them or something?

I would think that the more you think about them the more likely you'll be to have them. Just keep at it. Try the eyes staring at the ceiling technique and see what results you get.

Also, I found that it wasn't healthy for every single one of my dreams to be lucid. I had to allow my subconscious mind to get in a few of its own dreams from its own agenda. For the health of my psyche and all that.

Keep going.

The last two nights I've remembered dreams. I don't know what it was, but it's gone now.

Erin, with the looking at the ceiling technique, are you supposed to have the light on or off?
