I have so much lucid dreaming to catch up on, so I don't know why it is that I keep building on this big list of things to do, but there's another thing I've been thinking about. I've heard that a lot can be achieved when you decide to face yourself directly in the dream. Summon your very self before you and begin the interrogation. See this form of your shell from the outside and allow it to show you its strengths and weaknesses. Look at yourself from new perspectives and use this to learn and grow. Test yourself in various things and see what crosses the line, what makes you work, etc. I'm not a very confident person and I find it difficult to socialise. Because of this, I tend to have difficulty looking in the eyes of others during communication and keep my head low and my true personality and opinions locked away. I know that this would be created exactly in my form if asked for in a lucid dream. I could then be that person on the outside and look at myself clearer than I ever have, and within that moment I want to push and push again and make this reflection spark, crack and respond. I've heard about different things that can be achieved through such a lucid dream, but I've got far too much experience to gain yet before I find myself trying any of this. I am wondering if anybody has done such a thing in their own lucid dream(s) and what their experience was like. I am curious to know whether it made any difference to their waking worlds after such an encounter. I'd love to face myself and ask this form to show what it could actually do if it allowed itself to express and be entirely real and free. |

I think it may be beliefs only which limit us. But of course it's difficult to get free from the ties of those beliefs we have about ourselves, because they are learned, ingrained, conditioned into us, over many years. Or if we are sensitive people, they might be protections against being wounded. I am sure that in a lucid dream state, it is possible to cut those ties, and re-form ourselves. I can't honestly remember doing anything similar...but it would be worth trying to do. |

Thank your for your openness. I thought it might be better to talk to your subconscious or higher self in a dream, they use a language combined with pictures and words, that is very enlightening. For talking with you subconscious go into a lucid dream. For your higher self go for Astral Projection or lucid dreaming. Talking to yourself, is not better than in waking life as to think and to look in a mirror. If you get more benefits, it is your subconscious tough, so why don't connect directly? Those contacts are very individual, often humorous and intelligent in one way. Let us know how you are doing. ~sb |
