Red face Help! I Can't See The Right Decision...

Is anyone able to read for me and tell me which direction I should move in? This is with regard to my career goals. I have had some pretty volatile things happen over the past 3 years dealing with my educational and career goals and I'm at a crossroads now and have to decide what exactly my purpose is and which career will best serve that purpose.

I can give more detail if needed. Or, not, if that's better? Can anyone see anything? Much appreciated!

That's accurate. This entire experience has been very wobbly and disorienting. That's why I'm seeking assistance on my path. In fact, "disorienting" is the perfect word and it's a word I have been using to describe the place I'm in a LOT. You picked up on that well. Maybe I need to calm down and change my perspective about recent events so that I can begin to see forward?

172,

without self-confidence and a healthy ego every path will look insecure.
You should take care of yourself and than of others.
You'll help others better if you help yourself first.
When we are young we can offer time, because it is the resource we have the most, when we get older we trade more with money.

Talk to people and ask them how they did it, mostly you'll recognize that people don't think over too much, just follow their little voice and that is often enough.

You should do nothing.

Nothing at all.

There is nothing to be done.

There is nothing for you to do.

Do nothing.

Go somewhere quiet and relax and do nothing for at least 30 minutes. Just be with yourself, and be with the world. No thinking, no talking, no moving, no sleeping. Just experience who you really are, and what's really around you. Your mind can drift, that's okay, just do nothing with it, don't participate with it. When it doesn't get an answer it will go quiet.

And when you finally stop doing nothing, the answer will be clear.

Slow down your breathing, get out of your mind and into your heart. You know what to do, you are just scared right now and fear always makes us forget our power in any situation. Clear the energy of the last few years. Burn some sage. Write down what the last few years were like, rip up the pages, throw them away and let them go with appreciation for what they have shown you. Any struggles we have in life simply bring us closer and closer to our hearts passion. Now write about your life from here on in, completely heart-centered. What you want. Learn from your struggles they are part of your life journey. Leave despair behind you.

Let your 10 year old self make that decision. Seriously, the child inside of you is not worried about finances, relationships, or logic. Obviously the paths you have to choose from are some you've probably put thought into already, so forget all the details now and choose like a child would...with only happiness in mind. It's all about push and pull. Choose something that makes you feel happy, healthy, and worthy but that allows to give back everything you take and take everything you give in a constant cycle. An equal relationship. Of course, some of this you may not know for sure until you try it out.

I only give this advice because it's some I didn't follow myself. Now I see the truth in it and I'm trying to fix it, but it's caused years of wondering what the hell I am doing here and feeling like there is something missing in my life.

Take your time, sweetie, and breathe. You'll figure it out.

Thank you Summerbreeze. I am afraid to listen to my little voice because I've gotten myself into some seriously difficult situations by following it in the past. (or maybe it wasn't my little voice?) This is why I want to know what people see. If you see anything at all.

Really? Is this a double entendre'?

So true. This is very helpful. Thank you. Rituals do help me process things.

One of my teachers once told me that the way we are when we are 10 years old reflects on the way we'll think when we're adults. That all of those awkward teenage years of trying to figure out who we are, all the fads, all the experiments, really mean nothing because we always go back to our roots. I don't know how much truth there is in that, but I just figured I'd add it. But just don't worry too much and follow your heart! I wish you the best of luck!

Yikes! If I did what my 10 year old self picked as an occupation, I'd be a dentist now. LOL

While I don't give readings, I can share what seemed to work for me when going through my own career crisis.

I went into meditation one day and I just asked myself to picture what my ideal life would look like in the future if there were no restrictions. Funnily enough, I did not picture myself insanely rich with a hunky pool boy.

I actually pictured a nice life and saw myself in a career which I had really wanted to do for 20 years but got sidetracked from. It really did seem ideal for me.

And now I'm in school to be trained for that career.

Try it - couldn't hurt? What would your ideal life and career look like if you could do anything you want? If you find something, think about ways to get you there, or at least close to there. Then take action when you're ready. It might take planning and a lot of work, but I always say, "where there's a will, there's a way".

LOL!! I'd be an actress/singer/veterinarian/lawyer! I could cross off lawyer now for sure, but the rest are still great sounding occupations. But hey, no restrictions, right? lol. Yeah, the ten year old thing may not apply to real life very well. haha. I like your idea...it sounds much more realistic!

Thanks for that!

Ok from what I can see tuning into your profile... you actually very similar to myself... both in life and spiritual path and year... quite eery lol

Now I can tell you what you SHOULD be spiritually suited to doing.... and that is working for yourself.. and owning your own business. I don't think you do particularly well working in a corporate structure... especially where you are having to answer to people.

The sort of roles that would actualy be good at (not necessarily what you want to do now) are things like..... policeman... fireman.... ambulance officer. etc. You need to be helping people but also you are good at being in a position of authority... like a policeman or even the Manager. I think you should be outdoors as well.

Your profile is a good profile for owning your own business... because you are hardworking and have good ideas... but need to do it without the frustration of working for someone else and adhering to their rules.

Spiritually... there is a VERY good reason why you are so confused. You are in your CHANGE period of your life.... and have been for the last 8-9 months. The end of 2009 and the beginning of last year were all about clearing out relationships and the stuff no longer serving you.... in readiness for change. Well the last 8 months have been about making change.

That is why you are feeling the way you do now. You are getting the spiritual tug to make change. Spiritually the next 4-5 months are the ideal time to make this change as well.... so what you are going through is all just part of the process.

Your profile also by the way... is prone to suffering from things like... high blood pressure and cholesterol.. so keep an eye out for that. Not saying you have it... but that you are prone to it... as I am.

So to cut the long story short... work for yourself is what you would do best.

(ps: Just out of interest... and not sure if you are single... or in a relationship... but you are coming up to your soulmate period from May onwards for the next 12 months.... the BEST time for relationships... both being in and finding that ideal partner. Things are going to get better for you!)

FrankMat! Synchronicity that you would happen upon my thread and do a reading when you and I are so similar. Who better to look into it?

"A spiritual tug to make change" .... this makes so much sense and is exciting. I'm starting today making changes.

It's funny because owning my own business has always been the one thing that I have avoided my entire adulthood. But, that avoidance has put me in a quandary because, as you stated, I'm not well-suited for corporate politics at all.

I'm looking forward to exploring this idea and other ideas I have been resistant to. Thank you so much!

I spent all day playing in the woods when I was 10 years old, with my dog and my friends. Now after all the ups and downs, running businesses, doing some pretty crazy stuff (career! if I told you all about it, it's so far out you would not believe me!)....well what do I do now??
Play in the woods with my dog, just like I did when I was 10. That makes me happiest of all.

Yay!! I think this was the meaning of her teaching. When you're ten, you're pure at heart and only do things for happiness without worrying about money, relationships, or any of that other crap that makes us anxious and numb to our TRUE desires. If we all thought like ten year olds, we'd be very happy...and probably very fat because I know I'd probably live off of ice cream and candy. But that's beside the point!

I am grateful for all the responses. I'm still looking for more directed readings. If you feel something when reading this thread...please, by all means, let me know. I'm working on centering and slowing myself down from panic mode. I've had some changes that were unexpected and unwelcome as far as my conscious mind is concerned.

If you went on a path...one that you dreamed of for years and years...only to be told by someone that you shouldn't be on this path....would you listen? Or forge ahead? That's where I am! I need to know if I should go for broke....or if my crossroads is an opportunity to go in a totally different direction...and, if so, what direction is it? Because, I don't see it. Thank you!
