I was just looking up information about auras and how to read them. So I followed the directions given on the site I found, tried to read my own, and seemed to get a pale yellow color around my head. Then I tried to read my childrens' auras and got the same color! lol! SOOOO...apparently I must be doing this wrong. How does one learn to read Auras? |

hey, as you see different sites, I won't share techniques or so. There are just a few things to know, which many of those site don't share. 1. There are different stages of the aura that can be seen. You see the shape first, which can appear silver/white As you go deeper the colors get stronger and if I'm correct informed on the deepest levels there can be seen things like symbols or so, or things you can see from a past life. 2. Not every color is seen equally easily. Might be for everyone different, but I don't know , if that is so, it might explain why you see the same yellow in other persons. 3. I don't know, but I'm sure there was something btw: don't be frustrated if you are making just slowly progress, aura seeing, especially the inner aspects is not something you learn over the weekend. See it as a skill you develop as time passes anyway. ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 01-25-2011 at 12:24 AM. |

So, I can obviously see a "glow" around myself and my children. Does practice make it easier to see the other colors? Or is reading the deeper, more colorful aura something that is in fact limited to individuals sensitive to it? It seems that if you are able to read your own and others' auras, it would be beneficial in many ways, not to mention really freakin' cool, so it would be neat to learn how to do. Do you have any preferred resources on this subject?

| i edited my previous post. Yup, that would be very interesting for a psychotherapist. You see some colors like a smoky green-yellow that indicate a specific kind of bad behavior, you come very fast deep in your relationships. And you are a lie detector, you thoughts are changing the aura, with its emotions, i can see that on myself if I manage to see my aura. You could see what it means to have a smoother view, many people are darting with their eyes, as the would seek constantly something (on a subconscious level they do). The exercise I'm referring to I call "mystic view", I'll share it in my tutorial as soon as I'm on this point. I didn't find any valuable information source for that yet online , on the other hand i didn't occupy myself much with this subject and i train it rarely. If you are really interested, I would say, you search for a book with good references. ~sb |

Thanks again, SB! You're awesome. It does interest me quite a bit and seems to be a good baby step and learning focus, even if just for a short period. I will definitely look for a reputable book, although I have a feeling this is going to be a subject for which there is no "textbook" explaination or guideline. I do believe the colors are there, as I just tried again on myself and found a lavender color outside of my light golden yellow, but I guess it's hard to understand how these colors can each have a definite meaning even when around different people. Hopefully I'll find out! Thanks again! |

It is a nice step to see auras and energies in general, there are so many things that'll make finally sense or are validated. The same goes for your thought, that it is difficult to understand the different colors. This is the good thing, you aren't just reading about it, you can "compare" your intuitive picture of the person with its auric field and you really know on a deep level what these colors/constellations mean. Reading is just pointers with words, words can do much, but not transporting the whole message and representing reality, so i would see this as something very practical and beautiful. A way to use it for a student, if you are in the canteen or lecture, and you are able to see auras, you just go to the place where the energy is best or similar to yours. If you are emphatic it is hard to sit near a person with bad karmic issues. This is one of infinite uses that should inspire you to go more into the direction of your interest. ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 01-25-2011 at 07:44 AM.

I find having a white wall in the background helps to see the persons auric colors. I saw my fathers one time, and it was yellow as well. I once perceived this woman's auric field at a dance class. It all of a sudden became very clear to me that she had a LACK of color or aura at all, which I found really odd. I read in a book a few weeks later that this indicates a person is about to die I never saw her again as I was visiting another city and went to a casual dance class with a friend, so I don't know what became of her, but it was very odd indeed. |

Have someone sit in front of a white wall, sit directly in front of them, get into a meditative state, then start gazing at them, paying particular attention to the edge of their head, where it meets the color of the wall. Dim the lights when you do this (but not totally dark). Give it about 10-15 min. You might start seeing some color and shape to the aura. Now you've seen an aura |

Thank you, everyone! I am going to force my sister to be my ginuea pig this weekend...hehe... I've tried it on myself, my kids, and my animals, but unfortunately, I'm the only one still enough to concentrate on. Oh well!
