I love being able to help people, but I have a problem. I would like some answers from Reiki users, or any type of healers, but any insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
How do you bring yourself to NOT heal everyone? I heal my parents and friends, sometimes the occasional acquaintance. But when I see someone who is in pain or is in need of some kind of help, I can't bring myself to just do nothing. I end up drained and it can sometimes be painful. I also have to feel completely useless when I am burnt out and still crossing paths with people who need help. I know I can't heal everyone, but I forget about that when I see someone in more need of this energy than me.
Do you healers just prioritize and who ever you get to is who you help?

When you see someone in need, ask Archangel Raphael and the angels of healing to bring them whatever they need. You don't have to do it yourself, you can easily invoke the angels and help everyone, without draining yourself. Since you're a healer I would start to align with Archangel Raphael...he can be a great help in not only helping you help others... but he can also help you restore your own energy and also set boundries.
I would check out the book "The healing miracles of Archangel Raphael" by Doreen Virtue.

I would just like to say that if you feel drained after healing that it shows that there is probably too much of an ego in your efforts. Every true healing comes from the Universal Love Energy. And this energy heals the healer at the same time, so even the healer feels better after the healing.
So, my advice is: Let go. Trust the Universal Love Energy. Let it do the work. You can be of a significant help in offering yourself as a channel but do not cling to the result. You don't know what the person, who is unwell, is to learn from it. The Universe knows. Being a healer implies humility. Otherwise we can easily slip towards manipulation. No true healing, no matter what technique we use, be it reiki, crystal healing, clairvoyant guidance etc. contains any manipulation in it. Of course, if we choose so, it may be a manipulation. But this always backfires on us, one way or another.
And you can also ask higher beings to help you or even ask them to do the work, as AngelPsychic444 has pointed out. But it should always be done in the spirit of:
"Not through my strength and power but by your Will, God, Father, may this work be done."
If you let go and heal through your heart, you will not get drained. You still may feel the other person's pain which may help you diagnose their problem but you may ask higher beings of Light for a relief.

You maybe are empathizing a bit too much with what they are going through (the people you help and heal) and are taking it on board. To have compassion is a lovely thing. But to empathize too much, and start carrying things on your own shoulders for them is not such a good idea. Look after yourself. You are important too.
