| UNDER CONSTRUCTION ![]() ![]() ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Lucid Dreaming and Out of body experiences~ FAQ, Discussion, Stories, Tutorial and Help - Summerbreeze for Beginners ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi everyone! If you want to follow a slightly different approach, or if you are frustrated by other approaches I invite you to go through this tutorial. If you are new to the topic you just might want to read it down. If you wonder WHY I have written this, it is because, I realized a pattern of very same questions that people ask frequently and on the other side exhausted standardized answers, so you might just go through this thread, hopefully to get an answer to all your questions. AND you are welcome to post questions into this thread. Discussions and suggestions are welcome too. If you are a still a OBE-skeptic, that's perfectly fine, be my guest. Since Lucid Dreaming is proven by Stephen LaBerge, you might want to ask yourself what it really is. As i see OBE's and the subconscious as a further part of Personal Development, this is my part I give back, being thankful of what I've learned here about every thing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1.0 So first off I'm not an expert or a person who claims to know every thing, I just want to bring the subject nearer to you, since we are all on this journey together for quite a time and i apologize that English is not my mother language Everything is based on my personal viewpoint, I'm open to talk about it, if done respectfully and rationally. 1.1 OK, but what is in it for me then? ![]() Well, I'm glad you have asked You spent one quarter of your life sleeping, why don't use the time, as a extension to your day to day reality? Why to learn Lucid Dreaming? - First off because it is FUN + fun with a cream topping of fun! Ever imagined something that would be fun, but isn't allowed or possible? - You learn more about yourself, your fears, your self-limitations and all you want. You cooperate with your subconscious, it has its own non-judgmental intelligence. -> Personal Exploration - If you are a creative person, you have here your full potential, if you search for inspiration for you newest drawing, just turn the sky purple grow blue trees, let a red river flow and cross it on a yellow shiny bridge - make your own abstract artwork - Problem solving. Well, this is a vague point, it is for everyone different, but there is the possibility to train things you wouldn't do in public, like public speaking or for some people asking a woman out on a date, the point is here more the NLP-aspect, than the rooting in reality. You will condition your subconscious to have more self confidence. - If you have reoccuring nightmares, you can recondition them now. [...] Why to leave my body? - Learn more about the collective consciousness, the universe, other places, dimensions, beings and the power of your mind. - Connect with your higher self, your guides, higher beings and so on. - Transform deep rooted fears like fear of death. - You are more than your physical body, learn more of who you really are. Raise your consciousness, "follow your path back". [...] That sounds fantastic but can I get harmed? Sure. Being a human in physical reality is even more dangerous. You can lose your physical body and suffer pain. People die because of many stupid things, like not watching when crossing the street or falling down a ladder. The good news is that in the astral planes you are quite safe, more safe, since you are energy and your body is lying in bed. I think it is theoretically possible to die, but you really, really, really have to try hard. The point is that you create your circumstances with the same "personality", just that it goes much quicker in the non-physical plane, you really need to have many times before the intense, desiring intention to do so, than you might succeed in the next years if you are lucky The same laws as here are valid everywhere. Like attracts like. I'll go into further detail later. The only thing to know here is about yourself, is how your attitude towards working with you fear is and that you make sure that your life-situation is awesome in the moment you are projecting. The more i read, the more it became clear that like everything it depends on yourself what things will be like. My intention for you is to transform the opposite of love, called fear, which challenges every life situation in which you are! You go from fear to love ! Quote:
1.2 Good! I'm thinking about this, where should I start? Just start where you want and what you are comfortable with! You might set your goal to just learn Lucid Dreaming at first. You are maybe not sure if you are emotionally ready for experiencing astral travel. That's fine you're not alone, many of us gone trough that. If you have just little fear it is often intelligent to do it anyway. If you just try to learn Lucid Dreaming there is the possibility to have an unintented OBE, that's because it is technically very similiar. You are outside the body, even in a unconscious dream. It goes a bit like this: if you are sleeping, you are dreaming. If you are dreaming, why not consciously? If dreaming consciously so why just moving in the own subconscious? You move along, when you feel like it. The techniques are mostly for both things, because it is the same, just to another degree. It is not very likely that there will be total different techniques. You need to change your attitude a bit if you are not "rooted" in spirituality. We are going from a spiritual paradigm in this tutorial, because it is way more effective than a approach from a "scientific-biological" paradigm. Prove your openness to yourself! In fact we do not learn it like we do a new skill, like a different language. We do it normally natural, you might remember very vivid experiences in your nighttime as you were a child. We are living in a world where the focus is more on survival and other things, so this might be quite a far stretch to focus on dream lucidity and further things. On the other hand a good use for developing the right brain half, that is today way to underrated. Last edited by Summerbreeze; 01-17-2011 at 10:40 PM.

| 2.0 What are the basics? The basics are basically very basic! You are invited to work on your consciousness and your energies, that is not complicated, you just need to do the "homework". It is little you have to do and once you are "calibrated" it pays off. The basics summarized: You need to get a feeling of yourself and to control your consciousness and its states. There are many benefits for other areas as you trigger your switches. You have to make yourself a bit more "functionable", that will be your key to other perfomances and will increase your day to day intuition, your psychic skills, your emotional balance etc. To do that I will show you easy comprehensible exercises, that are at least worth experiencing them. This will include: - Breathing, might not sound interesting, but try it first! - Meditation, useful for everything. - Self-Induced Trance, great for connecting to the subconscious, you can get even to past life experiences or other things in trance. Gets you comfortable with "weird" consciousness states. - Chakras, you learn to open your energy centers. - Overview over Lucid Dreaming and OBE-techniques, there are very many. You might try, which you like the most. - Listening to different frequencies, you'll find on Youtube some links which help you, you just play them in the background, they will influence your brainwaves. 2.1 The different states in the Astral Body What is the astral body? The astral body is your spirit, when you are in your human form in this incarnation you are experiencing right now. Since this is a basic tutorial and much information on this is vague i stay on the easy path. You are connected to your physical-body through a silver cord. You use this body to travel in the different dimensions. Every time you are sleeping it goes out of your physical body and there is no way to prevent it, just to control the consciousness you experience in this state. The difference between Dreaming and OBE? technically none, you are in the same body and experiencing something. The more consciousness you manage to get into your astral body, without waking up to the physical body, the more possibilities you have. When you are in a unconscious dream or a lucid dream you are projecting your subconscious. If you are in OBE you are relying less on your own subconscious. You are more in a different reality. The following graphic shows the connection between those two. ![]() [...] Last edited by Summerbreeze; 01-18-2011 at 09:14 PM. |

| 3.0 Every path starts with the first step So, we go through that forest and try not to see it at as a whole and to label it. We miss much of the original experience of what this forest can be. You might want to leave its path to have some experiences and come back. Maybe you want to ponder about this analogy, regarding the life you are experiencing right now. ![]() 3.1 Breathing What use has breathing? It is the most important metabolic process of your body. It is more important than sleeping, eating or drinking. If you change your sleeping patterns, you can feel more energetic. If you change you eating habits, you can be healthier and more beautiful. If you change the fluids you are putting in your body, you can feel clearer and flatten your blood sugar level, which can change your eating habits. There are many coherences in this whole system of your body, many of which you aren't aware of. The same goes by breathing, you can change your current emotional/consciousness state just by altering your breathing. How can I understand that emotionally? Look at the picture below. Try tuning into its feeling of freedom and the absence of day to day surviving thoughts. Close your eyes, you shut down 85% of your perception by just one blink. Imagine yourself standing on a vast field and looking up to a sunny sky. If there is nobody in your near that laughs at you, you can increase the sensation by spreading your arms. Now when you are in tune with your imagination, try to breath slowly and deeply, effortless and totally naturally, like you would increase the perception of the environment by doing this. Let your breath flow gently and feel the air passing your nostrils. Can you feel now that you change your current state? ![]() A general thing Many people breath wrongly. That sounds silly, but that is the way it is. Many people breath very flat, the lungs are not getting the whole portion of fresh air. Sometimes you air your room, to concentrate better, well it is quite logical, that you increase the amount of oxygen in the air that is surrounding you. But ever thought that breathing itself has a influence on how you feel and the amount of oxygen that goes into your blood? If you have a pet, how does it breath? It looks like it would breath more with the belly. Yep and this should be your natural tendency too! Maybe it feels not very comfortable to control the own breathing at first, this is true. But the goal is not to consciously breath all the time. You will adept automatically, as the time goes by anyways. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of the simplest things. How do I know I will adept? Your subconscious has a great memory, it remembers what serves you and what doesn't. The other side is, that it doesn't has its own analytical mind. You decide how you condition yourself. This is nothing that takes much effort, you just have to remember that you are the captain of the boat and determining the course of the boat, when it is necessary. You have to show your subconscious what is good or not and sometimes you have even to remind yourself. Take this example: You went through the supermarkets to get all the things for christmas and are pretty stressed, because there is this guy who took your parking space and the other woman who got you into this conversation with their emotional problems and you just want to go home. So after that you arrived at home, put all the bags away and throw yourself on the couch! What might be the next thing you do, with not thinking much about it? Yes, inhaling deeply and exhaling deeply and you might even take a break after exhaling, before inhaling again. You subconscious knows that this makes you feel better and you just did it, without maybe knowing that this is a pattern, that changes your current state. Where did you pick it up? There was certainly someone doing that before you, you saw this couple a times and your subconscious has adapted. Was it hard to learn or does it feel unnatural? Nope! 3.2 What will we use here? There are 1001 patterns you can try out, just google or share it in this thread. There are two breathing patterns, I want to show you that are of a use. The first one, is to get you more relaxed and calmed, you do this before you do everything that needs a calm mind. The second one, you do after finishing whatever you did, it increases your alertness and energy level again. | 3.3 Breathing for Relexation ![]() So before starting any exercise you steer your mind by coordinated breathing into the right direction. You repeat the cycles until you feel its effect. I recommend at least 10 times. I won't give you specific number of seconds for each step, you try to do what feels good. So for relaxation: ( 1 ) - Inhale deeply and quickly ( 2 ) - Hold your breath briefly ( 3 ) - Exhale slowly and deeply ( 4 ) - Hold your breath for a long time ( 5 ) - Start at ( 1 ) again 3.4 Breathing for Energy ![]() You can close every exercise with this breathing pattern, highly recommended after meditation. You will have a calm mind but being energetic though! Do this as long as you want, when you have refreshed your cardiovascular system with oxygen, you might go to you every day life reality back and continue doing whatever you want to do. So for feeling more energetic you "reverse" the pattern: ( 1 ) - Inhale deeply and slowly ( 2 ) - Hold your breath for a long time ( 3 ) - Exhale fast ( 4 ) - Hold your breath briefly ( 5 ) - Start at ( 1 ) again ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By the way! Here are two things you can combine with the two breathing exercises, you don't have to do it, if the coordination is for you overwhelming and it is too much, you just stick to the basic pattern. ( 1 ) I recommend for both exercises, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. ( 2 ) If you are a visual type, imagine inhaling positive things of your environment as plus signs - every plus sign increases you well-being. Exhale the minus signs - everything negative in your head, give it away fully. Furthermore: You can do this without any attempt to meditate or doing other things, works as well in a free minute at work or staying at the red lights. | 4.0 Meditation ![]() On our path we have reached the most peaceful place in the whole forest, slow down and inspire yourself. Do you get the tranquility of the scene? The surreality indicates the changing consciousness during meditation, it feels like you are tuning a bit more into your higher self, who perceives the environment differently than your superficial self. Near you, you hear the waterfall. The stream comes out a source and is merging again with the lake. The water evaporates again and feeds the cycle. You realize the true source is the water in which it flows in again. During your meditation you go from a random thinking individual to a part of an experience, that just is. There will come up thoughts, but you redirect the energy into contemplating about the environment. The experience is indisputable, when you went deep into a meditative state you'll know. It is okay to exist, the bird is made by the same energy and from the same source as me - some day we'll merge again. We might not be separate in reality, but in our perspective we are. We are living the experience and see the beauty of being an individual in a world that we created by ourselves, but don't remember. Meditation is a change in perspective, an inward change, that is also seen in the outer, because the inner and the outer correlate directly - consciously or subconsciously. 4.1 About Meditation Meditation is one word for a broad experience. Wikipedia says: "Meditation refers to any of a family of practices in which the practitioner trains his or her mind or self-induces a mode of consciousness in order to realize some benefit" I'd just say, that meditation is going deeper into yourself, calming the mind and change your consciousness in one. There are several practices and very free definitions of what meditation is - so we stick to the things that have an effect on us and are willing to experiment a bit, because it is very individual what feels comfortable and is effective. Do you have your own technique and don't need a new one? Perfect, do it! - if you feel like posting it here, you're welcome! And don't raise your expectations too high if you are a beginner. I wish for you, that you'll get the "different feeling" pretty quick. The first time I tried to meditate, I got really upset, so even that might happen. What has Meditation to do with Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection? As mentioned before, we need to go deeper in ourselves and make us more "functional". We will have hard times to succeed in any spiritual practice if we can't focus on a subject. Meditation is a tool here. We bring our bodies more in a balance. A clenched muscle will look bad and need more energy in the same activity as a relaxed muscle does. Ever tried with a uptight hand writing? Its exhausting, inefficient and tends to mistakes. Did you realize, that you have a uptight hand when you try to write something quick and are stressed? This is an example for the outer correlating with the inner. The same goes for the mind - a relaxed mind, is not just more functional, it makes a relaxed body, which is a starting point for exercises regarding Astral Projection, Lucid Dreaming, Chakra work and other things. You might even consider to meditate before going to sleep, in case you can't get a sleep. We'll do most of the exercises in the afternoon, so that we can take much of the benefits with us into sleeping time. 4.2 What will we use? I will show you 2 exercises of meditating and 1 example of a small exercise that shows you how variable meditation is. As said - if you have something with what you are already comfortable, stick to it, we don't need to reinvent the wheel, just to come out with the same. If you feel like experimenting you might try them out anyway. Before every meditation, you use the "Breathing for Relaxation" - exercise ( 3.3 ). It is sort of a meditation, and helps you to go much quicker in your desired state. [ to be continued] Last edited by Summerbreeze; 01-30-2011 at 03:17 PM. |

Thank you all! This thread is a BETA of the whole thing, it'll change in structure and content etc. I have this and the next month my regularly semesterexams and I'm working in b-consulting, so don't wonder if I won't update regularly, but it will be complete one day. On the weekend I'll complete the meditation part. Be free to share, post, ask etc. Love to you all. ~sb |

| 4.3 ![]() Getting started What can I do before meditating? My mind is sooo busy! I put it in these words: Every issue and everything that concerns you has no meaning. It has just the meaning you give the events. There is no Global Consciousness Institute, that says what is right and what is wrong, what matters what doesn't. The only thing that could matter is your consciousness because everything is perceived through it. We are all unconditionally safe here, no matter what happens. The happiness you are looking for is a peace of mind and not directly a solution you reach by thinking out of your problems. Because your "problems" are a point of view and not a fact of reality. So if you want to get into a meditative state, but your thoughts are hunting you, you can write everything down on paper that is in your head right now and say to the thoughts "I'll come back to you later." It is easy, it works, you do that many times. For example: Imagine going to holidays, you have packed your case, everything is set up, you are sitting now in the plane. You already know you'll forget most of your concerns in your vacations, that's why you like them so much. You are allowed, even by anyone else to put away all your thoughts and just be. Symbolically this starts when the pilot hits the gas and the turbines are working with full throttle, at this point beginning, you put aside most of your thoughts, there is no way back. You can get the same feeling when going into meditation, maybe you want some inspirational music, pictures, that alter your consciousness state - you'll find some in a different part of this tutorial. ----------------------------------------------------------- Do now some "Breathing for relaxation" ( 3.3 ) ----------------------------------------------------------- Now you can go to your meditation routine or use the exercises that are below. ----------------------------------------------------------- 4.4 ![]() Regeneration Breath comfortably without effort. Take the following steps slowly. Take a seat in a comfortable chair that supports your back. Ground yourself with the feet on the floor. Get a sense of your environment, how would it feel to be the first time in this room? Don't interpret, try to feel the room that opens when you put aside the thinking, and don't think about thinking. Get a feel of your body Feel your hands, concentrate on your palms, you feel energy there, expand this feeling to your soles of your feet. Rub your hands in the height of your heart chakra. Try a distance that feels comfortable. Now imagine to draw energy through your soles from the center of the planet, let the stream slowly progress. From your soles to your ankles, your calves. It'll reach your knees, your thighs. Let it flow through your body, arms - until it reaches the top of your head, imagine drawing an amount of it in your crown chakra. You can now physically brush off with your hands unwanted vibrations or thoughts, send it back to earth, give them fully away. You can put your hands back in your lap. Imagine a light source being directly over your head, imagine becoming aware of its light and high vibration. Let this source cover you with all its light, your back, your front, the sides. It progresses from head to toe. It goes down to your feet and supports the soles. The light fills your aura, imagine an oval shape around your body, that is filling with this light. You are sitting now in a sphere of light. Now you can relax and let the light do all its work, it'll put away everything that doesn't support you with its own intelligence. It knows what to do, you just let it do its work. You might feel clear and calm. The light flows through your body, Your body is on the molecular level 99,99% empty space. You might now go into a contemplative state or just being present and close your eyes. Return when you feel like it. 4.5 ![]() Mystic View Eyes are the mirror of our inner state. Look in the eyes of a lion in wildlife. Isn't it reflecting a strange clarity and pureness? Older Lions have a mystic touch in their view. When you look at those cats in a zoo, much of the magic in their eyes is gone. It reminds me of humans sometimes. When the eyes reflect our inner, we can see the state of a person. The eye colors of some people are even changing with their moods. When civilized people came first to America to the native people, the natives were confused, because of the expression of the eyes the settlers had. They were starring and not having a comfortable view. It looked liked they were constantly searching for something - on a subconscious level they were. They were with their view more in a 2d-state, instead of perceiving their environment non-judgmental and seeing the beauty of everything. ----------------------------- The following exercise can help you to get a feeling for this, you can expand your room-consciousness and going beyond linear-deductive-thinking. You can use this exercise everywhere, you don't need much just two or three separate object ins your environment. In this case we use some dots, it makes it easier. ---------------------------- Let's begin: Step 1 Breath comfortably without effort. Get in a comfortable distance to your screen. ![]() Look at the picture above. Feel your breathing during the whole exercise. Feel the air filling your lungs and going out again. Take the rest of the exercise slowly. Focus on the left spot. Go with your focus to the other spot. Switch between the spots several times. Focus now on both at the same time and watch what happens with your awareness. Be an awareness that perceives your consciousness. Just experience. Step 2 We are adding a 3rd spot now ![]() Breath comfortably without effort. Get in a comfortable distance to your screen. Look at the picture above. Feel your breathing during the whole exercise. Take the rest of the exercise slowly. Use your full concentration here. Focus on the left spot. Go with your focus to the right spot. Go to the spot below. Switch the spots with every time you are inhaling. Take this triangular shape 3-4 times with your eyes. Focus on the left and the right spot at the same time, "breath" the experience. You might now be aware of the room between you and the screen. Now switch to focus on all 3 spots at the same time. You might get a subtle mystical experience. ----------------------------------------------------- Point fixation is a equivalent of the masculine principle, a smooth view is the equivalent of the feminine principle. Evolution naturally integrates male and female aspects. You can influence your current state by this exercise. You can use it every where, you just need spots on that you can look at the same time. The different consciousness-states will come with practice, especially if you are a newbie. You need lots of practice to control your mind. But in the end we are in control of our body and mind - and that is very important for our lives in general, we don't want to be our whole live passive an vulnerable beings. ------------------------------------------------------ 4.6 When getting distracted afterwards When there was a noise, like a barking dog or a screaming child that pressed a hot-button in your mind, be aware that this is just superficial. You can use this simple exercise when you get distracted to empty your mind again: Be aware of your breath. tip constantly with your left index finger on your knee, use the other one and stroke with the right hand clockwise your right knee. Your mind won't handle to have much thought by doing this, so you get calm again. Last edited by Summerbreeze; 02-12-2011 at 05:09 PM. |

Hey SB!! I don't know if you noticed in some of the threads, but I have been attempting astral projection. This actually started as an accident, but when I realized what was going on, I decided I would make an effort to go "all the way," if you will. I am getting to a point where my entire body is buzzing very intense, a static, pin-prick feeling begins working it's way through my body and seems to be most intense in my feet, lower legs, hands and arms, and lips. I will have involuntary jerks and muscle spasms and a very loud, high pitched ringing in my ears. During most of these times, I will feel as if parts of my body are floating upwards but if I try to use these limbs, I will move my actual body and lose this state. My question is how do I continue from this state? I seem to get stuck there and I'd REALLY love to keep going. During my last session, I gave myself a very specific destination and I felt I was doing very well, but I was interupted and had to quit. arrrrgghhh!! It even feels at times that I am being physically pulled from my body at my shoulders, but it's like the only thing I can't get to leave is my head. It stays firmly planted on the pillow. Am I too conscious or something? I think there's more than one question in there...oops... Thanks SB!! |

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback, I give the thread a break, because I have to use the "creative capacities" for university right now, I'll come back in 6 weeks with new content, I'll accelerate it then, because I have then some free time, but questions will be answered all the time, I don't leave. Quote:
Thank you for dropping in. I'm happy you have success so far! Ah yes it's often no coincidence, often it's enough to read on a subject to get an experience, that's why I say that people who are not into something they should read it nevertheless. You never know what you did/do in other lifes or when not being incarnated (if you don't check it). The first time I read about channeling, I channeled that night some very high vibrational beings and my head felt like being in a microwave, I don't remember sleeping that night. Your symptoms are good, you can be happy with yourself, going there so quick. Stay calm if you then about to hear weird astral noises or a "energetic pull" through your body, these ones happen often to beginners. I think you can already separate when you are sleeping in in the mornings. When one of your children cries in the night/morning, than you could be the one to stand up, because after going back to sleep again, it's likely to become lucid at least (has to do with REM-sleep-phases and your body being already in a good state for this). If you are astral: rub your hands to deepen, try to touch much of your environment and say to your higher self "Give me clarity". This because you'll most likely be blind and moving like a helpless puppy Okay some factors, because there will no update for a long time now, but I'll cover them with more detail then: You should completely release all tensions in your body, that's what I meant with inner/outer correlation in the text, I'll write more about it. You should strain your muscles and release until you feel that every part is relaxed. Light clothing and no watches/jewelry and so on. The best would be none! The temperature also plays a role, make it more warm than cold. Deepening your trance states, maybe try different approaches, the elevator works good for me. You can use the alarm clock to wake you up very shortly, maybe 2 hours before you regular wake-up-time, just so that you realize being awake and have still that heavy sleepy feeling. When you fall asleep now, don't focus too much, but have it in your back head. It's likely to have OBE's/lucid dreams when going back to sleep again. A bit energetic work, like chi-breathing is not bad either in the evenings. Let it go, the feeling of letting it go should not be interrupted by thoughts. If you like the idea of Archangels, you can call on Archangel Michael before going to sleep/before sleeping in for some days with a clear intention. He will do this most likely in the middle of the night or morning hours. When he lifts you out you can even talk to him, he is present, you must initiate the conversation and see what happens. Works with your guides/angels too. (I personally recommend to give this one a try) Some people prefer facing with their head north and optionally full moon, don't know what effect it has, I personally don't even project lying on my back. Work with your chakras, open them before going to bed, often it's enough to use visualizations here. I feel too that you should work on your lower three ones, especially your solar plexus longs for attention. Is there sometimes a place in yourself where you are raging? Intent, intent, intent but never be frustrated. Much of what we do will feel silly and uncomfortable or we won't be motivated, but one day it's very normal. Brain Storming is today also accepted, though it's for many more consulting their intuition Let us know how you go! And it's important to ask questions and to communicate, we are mostly unconscious about the reality working behind this. ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 02-23-2011 at 12:10 PM.

I can't wait to be successful at this. I do ask my guides for help at this point. I've noticed when I consult with them, I seem to get much further in the conquest...although not completely out. Try, try, and try again!! Thanks! Talk to you later.

Summerbreeze!!! I did it!! I think... Can astral projection turn into lucid dreaming? Either way, I'm pretty sure I was projecting for a small amount of time about three different times, each time into my bedroom, meeting a new character, and then leaving my home and then I think the experience went to a lucid dream...which I guess wouldn't have been lucid to text book because I thought I was astral. lol. But it was fun!! EDIT: Now that I think about it, each time I was in my room and met a different entity (I'll tell the story in a different thread so not clutter this one) there was a state afterward where I felt myself going back to my body but tried to fight it. After these small weird feelings of "tuning out" is when the very vivid lucid dreams would start where I was taking myself all over the place. Last edited by momo3bur; 02-27-2011 at 12:26 AM. |

Hi Ashley, that's nice, isn't it a great feeling to separate? We won't project every time in the Real Time Zone, which is the place you are currently. In the beginning it is like Roulette where you are dropping in. If you are outside, you should use some deepening techniques, it can become very quickly more dream like. And yes you can have a lucid dream of a projection, which can add some new effects, like being in two bodies. I had this last time: I was looking through the eyes of my "physical" dream body and moving in my "astral" dream body. As I realized I can move objects, I knew I wasn't projecting in the RTZ. Erin has an blogentry about your question, but I didn't go through it. In the beginning it is likely that guides etc. will try to connect to you during your projection, be prepared there is a broad range of things that could happen When you feel you are outside it is very effective to say "Give me clarity". If you are bored by the astral plane you are currently in and can't get elsewhere you can call your higher self for a little talk to use the time before waking up And don't panic if you drop into something where you can't wake easily up. Wish you some fun! ~sb |

Thank you, Summerbreeze! Yes, I experienced meeting a guide, and two other beings that claimed to be my guides but my guide told me were not. It was very strange and I think some of it may have been a lucid dream. I actually think the astral part was very short each time. And there were times where I thought I was waking up, but was not, along with other times when I tried to wake up but could not. lol. It seemed like a cycle continuously starting over. Either way, the lucid dreams were the best I've had since I've been an adult, so I really appreciated that. I was able to change my clothes according to the place I was in and actively look for a friend! But the whole time I actually thought I was projecting and was aware that I was physically sleeping. I think that's what made the lucid dreams so awesome. When I woke up, I was able to tell that most of it was dreaming. I'll try making sure I ask clarity questions next time. I've tried again with each sleep but I've been unsuccessful. I think the secret was waking up after being asleep for a while, then consciously going back down to project while still in that sleepy, relaxed state. It seemed so much easier just to sit up out of my body than I expected it to. I'm still very much floored that I actually finally did it...dumbfounded would be the best word. lol. AWESOME!! I'm happy for you It works best, when we get back to sleep after some hours of sleeping or call for help. The thing with waking up and sleeping in dreams is weird isn't it? You wake every time up or sleep in a different version of your bedroom, which can be very different versions, like some kind of cycle, this can go really deep and you can get rarely lost for few minutes if you overdo it, I personally call this "CORRIDOR", you can make there weird experiences, mostly facing subconscious fears or talking to persons If you wake up for example at 6am, lie 1 hour in your bed because of some noises and you drift slowly back into sleep it will be sometimes nearly impossible to sleep in without projecting or at least being lucid. If you want to have very long lucid dreams or Astral Projection experiences, this is for Beginners the easiest way to do, the REM phase kicks in instantly and it last very long. Let us know, what's happening! ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 02-28-2011 at 02:05 PM. |

The next time, after waking up and going back in again, I projected, met a man who said he was my guide who looked like a mixture of Heman and Chuck Norris in ancient Roman looking clothing with a blonde chili bowl haircut and who also explained that the red man who scared me was NOT my guide and that I needed to get rid of him. He hugged me and I went into him, then he disappeared...then another lucid dream. Then wake up...project and I met a blue horned fellow with a tail and animal legs...lol. He was funny and jumping around, acting like a joker, trying to convince me that he was there to help as well. However, I knew better and when I told him that, he disappeared. Then another lucid dream. So meeting the "entities" I think may have been lucid dreaming as well, although I know I was constantly looking back at my bed to see if I was there during this time, especially when I was being harrassed by the red dude. Is this the type of situation you mean by corridor?

Yes, we are talking about he same thing. I love to hear that you experience funny and weird things, that's in the beginning really exciting when we go dive into LD/AP. When you think your wake up and everything starts to fade away try this, it's very effective. Spinning technique: Spin yourself very fast arround your own axis, you'll most likely land in a bedroom version of the corridor or hopefully in another dream, without a bedroom. It's likely to experience AP through this. I made a picture to illustrate it. ![]() The corridor is more or less without an ending. Your jump more or less randomly through the rooms - it seems to have a bit of certain probability where you go, but I don't know if it's true for everyone, so just basic information. The rooms are made by your subconsious on the Lucid-Side and on the Astral-side more of the real appearance - in the RTZ it's actually the real room. On the lucid side it has seemingly random elements from your subconsious, that you know from somewhere, it feels very common though you'll never saw it this way. It is here likely that you fall here asleep inside the dream or think you are awake and actually sleeping. You can go there into different layers, but not necessarly linearly waking up from them. The deeper you go in "levels" the weirder it seems to get. Few nights ago I encountered some very odd like deepsea creatures looking entities near my bed, which I examined before waking up, couldn't resist On this side you encounter dream persons you can talk to, mostly do you get here more or less important messages direclty form your subconscious. On the astral side, you encounter very likely other beings, you can have very interesting visits. Many false awakenings are experienced here, you can have sometimes more than one false awakening. On both sides it's possible to attract something when you have fear, but you will never have trouble unless you are really recklessly trying to get trouble. Even then the trouble is just energetically. ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 02-28-2011 at 08:52 PM. |

| ?.1 ![]() What's the deal with the dark side? The intention of this article Reducing fear and maybe an altering in your viewpoint of the dark side to your benefit. There are countless people that are avoiding astral travel, the spectrum goes from religious fanatics, that claim it's the work of the devil to people that are simply afraid of the dark side. But the truth is none of them should be your viewpoint, it's just a spectrum of the same fear. People limit themselves and make things much worse than they actually are. Let me explain. The dark side Many of us carry an old and rigid viewpoint of the dark side in ourselves. This viewpoint is deeply rooted in our collective psyche, it's been there for a long time, but the good news is, that we can always make decisions for ourselves. I'm not in any manner a worshiper of the dark, but we have to accept the dark first, because we are able to transform it. Many people call our universal game an integration game, an integration of light and dark. This means not that there exists good and bad, simply light and the seeming absence of light in our oneness. The truth is that everything has it's intention, the "Universal consciousness" also known as god has intended it, how should be there a dark side, intended by god, without a purpose? Actually you will have other lifetimes where you play darker roles. This thought seems not comfortable, but from the viewpoint of our soul it is an very interesting experience. There is so much potential in the integration of light and dark, that it will be used. The spectrum of this universe, has an infinite number of dimensions, we often say that there are 12(13) or 33, which has to do with the fact that we can't grasp the concept of the universe with our mind. The map is not the territory, but it helps a lot to use the most common model with 12 dimensions and the layers in each dimension. Above is "heaven" and in below the light gets dimmer. We are in the 3rd dimension, with all its density and tardiness. Above is the 4th dimension, which is less dense but has different layers, with the spectrum from dark to light. From the beginning of the 5th dimension, we are returning to oneness and unconditional love. Incarnating in the 3rd can be really interesting, because of the separation - there are things that don't exist above. What if your soul is really curious to play games and wants to know how things feel like from a micro perspective? It's really interesting for higher beings to watch us, they do know unconditional love, but what's with conditional love, the love to nature, to our family or even sexual fetishism? What use? This is just an example of how we set parameters for our growth. Before incarnating we choose some parameters, especially if we are trying to resolve some issues. When you had for example in a lifetime the deep rooted issue of feeling like a failure, you probably will use in one of the next lifetimes an environment that stimulates you to resolve what you carry in your soul. It can be your parents, who are struggling hard with their life and feel themselves like failures. You carry the energy deep inside you in your "emotional body" you do store energies - every influence of outside that is in energetic resonance will stimulate these feelings to come up. That's why we say, when we are upset with others, that we just hate the side in ourselves, which is energetically somehow still present. This strengthens the energetic field of this issue. You probably know this from Eckhart Tolle, he describes this energy field as "pain-body". If we don't resolve this issue consciously, then this pain will grow until the point we can't stand it and we have really enough, then we try to work on it. What do we with choosing that "failure parent"... ? We hold up a mirror to ourselves. And that's exactly what's the dark side is. The dark reflects everything that isn't still with god and that's a lot and it's very relative by nature. Especially in a dualistic world-view of the third dimension and our conditioned either/or thinking, we do mistakes and judgments. We judge things in good/evil, light/dark. But how could they be different? Everything is "God". What makes you different from a negative entity on the astral plane? It's the degree of separation to the light, or in other words the god in ourselves. In the same relation we are more separated from God than our higher self. If this higher self chooses darker roles, how could it have a bad intention, when it's much more aligned with God than we are? Much more than that - we say that everything is one? So how can we be separate from everything that goes on this universe? The light and the dark are being creative and merging again to one, so why don't you want to help that process in yourself and collectively? The solution - acceptance and solving inner conflict Wisdom and inner strength kills fear. You have a free will and willpower behind that, with which you use to create your circumstances - or many of us to a high degree do not. We need to understand, that we constantly hold a mirror to ourselves. When we have no inner conflict we can even call on "fallen angels" without fear, they are playing roles. It feels ironic if an enlightened person would fear the dark side, wouldn't it? - he is just having a more adequate model of reality. What are you doing now, are you your authentic self? How would you be when you would be enlightened? Many of us play different roles themselves - when they are in a relationship, when they are in business or playing with children. We are making an identity from these things for us and for others, but as you can imagine there is much more to the whole truth who we are. Accept everything, accept yourself when you are a failure, accept yourself when you betrayed your partner or did other things. Jut polarizing to the light side, will store it even deeper in your subconscious and build new patterns. You will never dissolve the issue. When we focus just on the light, we are very ignorant, we have a lot put in ourselves, its time to get rid of it. Did you wonder why you have nightmares? Would you release a murderer from jail without a long therapy just because he switched to the light side? We should accept everything in ourselves and work on it, honestly and not flying like moths against the next light post and wait until it switches off again, just to see it was an illusion. What we need is transformation, what we use is our negativity/dark side, otherwise would you feel a need to develop? And there is a magic when we accept ourselves, we allow more of our real self to shine into the world. Maybe you want to contemplate of situations of the past, where you where overwhelmed. What did happen by acceptance at the same time? How does it feel to carry a lie in you? How do you feel when you speak it out and solve the issue? From my own experience I can tell you that there will nothing hurt you, if you don't intend it somehow or are negative in the first place. I did Astral Travel already before coming into basic school, what means in this case just before major conditioning. I never had fear, though I was traveling and seeing any kind of what I'd call dark. Years later I wish I'd be that unconditioned child again. I have now sometimes fear, what is more a first impression shock that passes with loads of humor. The more issues we solve and the more we accept, the more joy I get from my life, without even specific events. Even the little things gain in presence. We are in control of our reality. We should "level up" our character to be happier. Last edited by Summerbreeze; 03-10-2011 at 10:25 AM. |

I have a question about astral projection. Is it absolutely necessary to induce sleep paralysis in order to project? If so, can you give us some methods or tips to do this and explain the steps prior to sleep paralysis? Also it might be beneficial to describe what sleep paralysis feels like, just so people can have some sort of mental reference. |

Hello Blue Sparks! The kind of sleep paralysis, that feels for some people unpleasant, is experienced after waking up. You are lying in your body, but your double has not still "hooked" in the body. With concentration you get very fast over it. The feeling is that you can't move your body, but it doesn't hurt or something else, imagine you sit on a chair, that cut off your leg from the blood cycle and it feels asleep and you can't move it. The same goes for the whole body, but without the tingling sensations. It's nothing to worry about. The sleep paralysis you experience when Astral Projection occurs is so short or nonexistent that I wouldn't describe it as paralysis, you also have control over you body at any time. It's more that you just "pop-out" at the place of no return, when you did it already 2-3 times. The holistic approach should "calibrate" you to pop-out easily. Very effective is the approach when you get back in the mornings to sleep, because you are already "calibrated". It's definitely more for many people easier to get out in the mornings or through a lucid dream. When you induce AP from the waking state, it takes some practice. The process you go through until the point you get out, just feels like a paradox feeling between lightness and heaviness. You are feeling more of your inner body which feels light, and therefore you are aware that the physical body is "heavy". A good step to begin with is to induce trance. I'll write the next article about it. In the web you can find free or nor legally free material you can use to induce trance. Effective is a guided induction. It really helps when someone tells you what you do, because you can shut up the thinking more easily. This thinking just tends you to keep awake, especially as a beginner. Experiment with those guided trance/hypnotic stuff, it will make you flexible. You can do in trance exciting stuff with your mind like accessing the Akashic Records. Maybe I add an audio to access the Records. You can also travel with a mental projection, without leaving your body, but I have not much experience with it, maybe you find about this on astral projection forums, it's not the most common form of projection. ~sb Last edited by Summerbreeze; 03-17-2011 at 10:53 AM. |

Hey SB! I have a question for you. I seem to be stuck. lol. I keep having experiences where I know I am pulling from my body, but for some reason I can't go as far as I did before. For example, just yesterday morning I woke up, laid back down with the intention of projecting, and then I was able to float upward toward my ceiling, feel through it, and then suddenly things became solid feeling again (which I've learned to associate with my AP turning to LD). This happened about four times, then I finally gave up and decided to lucid dream, where I flew around changing objects, moving buildings out of my way, etc. lol! IT was fun, but not what I was wanting at the time. This morning, I could get my hands and arms out and even watched them wave around in front of my face. I felt the table next to me and reached over and felt my husband next to me. However, I COULD NOT for the life of me come completely out. I don't know why this is happening other than my neighbor has been mowing his lawn early in the morning and waking me up. I wonder if this sound is keeping me from APing completely. What also really gets on my nerves about it is that if I try at night when everything is silent, I always fall completely asleep and cannot control it. In the mornings I have no problem, but at night I just can't seem to do it. Any suggestions? Will sounds that my physical body is experiencing inhibit my astral projection? Lucid dreaming is really, REALLY fun, but I've got some business I'd like to attend to in the astral realm. lol. And I'd REALLY like to get started instead of sitting around with my hands floating above my face or playing with my head in the attic. |
