Ancient aliens

Has anyone watched these series? I have not seen all episodes yet but i thought it raised interesting points.

The only thing i disliked is that in one episode they said Tutankhamen was the son of Akhenaten (I'm a bit anal with my Egyptian history ). He was his son-in-law since he married Akesenpathen (may have misspelled her name) who was the daughter of Akhenaten and Nefertiti. But okay this is besides the point .

If anyone has seen the series, did you like it and what was your favourite bit?

Mine was the stones found in the highlands of Bolivia, I was very impressed with the precision of the stone work and i did believe you would need powered tools to achieve such results.

I have not sceane the t.v. show you are talking about. I have hears similar stories. Some are of that planet x that has an eliptical orbit and gets close to earth about every 3600 years. They came to earth enslaved people to mine gold to fix there own planet . As I remember the stones were in China , had a hole in them , and some thought were like a phonoghaph record left by ailens . desert rat

yeah i watch the series, very cool. the annoying things about the series is that they generally believe the aliens were all sinister. They show some amazing "places" around the world that i never would have known about.

Interesting. I wonder if aliens would want to enslave us though? We probably would be to dumb to operate their high tech goodies anyway

thanks Supertom, I enjoyed it indeed. Some of them I knew about, some were new. I had known about the "computer" when I researched about Atlantis (that took me a while...so many BS about Atlantis...but i came across heaps of incredibly interesting stories doing so).

yep yep. My husband knows my love for ancient civilisations and paranormal, so when he came across these series he thought (justly so) I'd get into it. We've watched half of them (not in order), only three left to go.

I'm unsure that all the evidence are from aliens, some could be from civilisations that are long gone. however, I cannot believe we are alone in the universe. There's definitely a lot to be discovered yet, and life on other planet is more than a possibility. An other thing: I don't think all aliens come here in UFO's. My assumption would be that we have a very dense energy so if some aliens happen to have a less dense one they could be right here and we would not perceive them with our senses.

Wow I can't believe it was more than a TV special. These guys have no proof and have little more than baseless conjecture. Thor had a lightning rod, maybe thor was a freaking alien with laser blaster!!1! Hai guyz I herd Lord of the Rings is real b/c Middle Earth looks a lot like Europe! der

The only thing I'll give them is when they discovered several celtic or so forts charred with incredibly high temperatures, yet nothing around them was touched.

I watched the series with a guy who is very skeptical and he also is a stonecutter who said that those stones could be cut using primitive tools, and it would take longer...though, if you think about it, the people who were commissioned to design them...it was like a lifelong devotional duty thing for them, so even though we can't conceive of anyone taking a lifetime to cut through stone to achieve what we can achieve now with technology, that doesn't mean they didn't. It's something contrary to think about anyway.

They're not the first civilization to take such precision in their stone cutting designs either. Remember the chinese with their underground "army" of stone soldiers and horses...how precise and descriptive were those statues...or any of the elaborate carvings and engravings that go back centuries, from other cultures? Were they all the product of alien assistance as well?

I feel like it might be not giving enough credit to the craftsmen of yesterday?

Also, that thing about the golden plane like objects found in the tombs, that they all jumped to the conclusion that it meant there were flying ships back then, neglected to mention the flying fish, (which is native to South America and the Amazon), which if you google it, looks almost exact to those objects.

That's not to say that the people back then didn't look at those flying fish and try and emulate them or have the idea to build something similar to fly with. I'm sure the notion to want to fly was around long before the wright brothers invented the plane. I found it a bit funny that people who study these things so intensely neglected to mention the flying fish, and even went so far as to say that there was NO insect or creature that resembled the object...which is just false! I question why they would say that?

I would like to watch it again though, to make sure I didn't miss anything, or just to think of it in a different way, on a different day maybe?

Ha! Luci you know I give credit to the craftsmen of yesterday...I used to do antique restoration so I have seen with my own eyes yesterday's techniques were superior to nowadays .

Nonetheless, I wonder where the exact knowledge of astronomy came from?

The show had mistakes in it (as I mentioned they stuffed up Egyptian history a bit, and Luci you mentioned the flying fish), so I am not saying they were spot on for every detail. Also, when they talked about the devahs (pretty i misspelled this but oh well), it might just be like in Atlantis when they mastered air travel.

I still really like the show. And I will beleive anyone saying they have had sightings. I think there's a bit of both in this mystery: civilisations we have not found yet who had mastered many things we master today and alien visitations.

Oh yeah, I forgot you were a restorer of antiquities. I keep seeing you in an old black and white portrait when I think of you doing this, for some reason

I've seen UFO on 3 seperate occasions, so I don't rule out the possibility at all, though my mind likes to think of practical reasons before jumping to any conclusions.

I liked the show as well.

I also watched a National Geo one the other say, totally unrelated to this topic, but it was about real live head hunters and showed a documented archival footage of tribesmen in the amazon doing the ritual and step by step process involved in shrinking peoples head. Fascination and gruesome.
