Astral Vampires
 

I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with astral vampires? I've read about them in "Psychic Self-Defense & Well Being" by Denning and Phillips. However, they don't delve too deeply into the astral vampires too deeply - I've only skimmed the book so far, so could be wrong about that.

My understanding is that astral vampires are unlike psychic vampires in that astral vampires exists on another plane of existance, but psychic vampires are living people (co-workers, friends, etc) who drain your energy. Astral vampires seem to be low energy beings that feed off us, causing us all kinds of problems. If we don't build an astral shield, it may be difficult to protect ourselves, esp. if you're engaged in unwholesome behavior or thoughts.

Anyone has any thoughts or experiences? Especially on how to identify if you have an astral vampire around and how to defend yourself.

I never had any of such experiences but when the time comes i will surely meet that kind of creatures that surround me and rest of you all the time...

Well how do you slay the vampire or any other enemy, by sheer light of your being, by not submitting to the fear they hope to cause, by becoming a "white knight", imagining the great shield that surrounds your aura and practically destroying their energy from within, best point is Matrix where Neo sees the matrix(auric field) and sees the same fabric the agents are made of and using the same matrix(aura) to defeat them... at least of what i have heard you are virtual superman in astral world and only the strength of your spirit holds you from doing supernatural things(just like in the real world)...

Thanks Mayo. Just to make it clear, you're saying the whole process of strengthening one's aura rests on visualizing a strong aura - a white field surrounding me.

I definitely accept this as the foundation of building a strong aura, but is this alone enough to defeat astral vampires? Is there something about our thought patterns, habits, or personality that attracts astral vampires to us?

For anyone that has done any kind of astral travelling - perhaps you can help me out on this.

I met an astral vampire once. It was one of the more scary and intense experiences. I will write a blog entry about it soon because it's a long but interesting story and there was another person involved who witnessed the entire encounter as well.

Erin, I look forward to reading that blog entry. Perhaps you can mention in the blog or a reply to this post some tips on how we can protect ourselves from astral vampires and how common AV's are.

I'll include those answers in the blog entry so everyone can benefit. most of my readers never go to the forums (more's the pity) so I want to put all the info in the blog entry and we can discuss it when its posts. Should be in the next 2 weeks.

it would be great if you could compose a series of tutorials for rising of astral awareness, i.e. how to enter consciously in astral realm ... if it is possible?

Back to the post topic! OMG. Yes I've had an experience too. I don't know if it was an astral vampire for sure but here goes..take my story with a grain of salt.

It was in a dream state but once again, I was knocked out of my normal 'dream' & back into a state where I was out of body but asleep still. I had a clear 'seeing' of a figure outside my bedroom window. My boyfriend (now husband) was asleep near me on the floor & I was feeling as though it was wanting me to go outside or get my boyfriend to go outside or something like that. I was feeling a terrible pulling sensation on my chest as though it had something buried inside my heart & was pulling on it tremendously. I was absolutely terrified/confused/shocked & the thing was compelling me to go outside. It was akin to a sort of hypnotic state that I've seen in 'Dracula'...which didn't occur to me until after. I felt as though I was defending my boyfriend which I thought later was the real target & I was the way to get him outside because the vampire couldn't get into my bedroom (I was well warded at the time). I woke my boyfriend up & he tried to help me as much as he could & I fell asleep on top of him. & unlike other dreams...the thing was still there & I had a horrible night of sleep but it didn't succeed.

We later concluded after asking (my boyfriend is clairvoyant) that it was some kind of vampire & it was trying to compel me to aid it..now that I think about it it might've been trying to get to both me and my boyfriend.

Anyways! It was awful & never happened again. I was terrified the next night it would come back & never leave me alone but thankfully it didn't. I've never had a repeat experience since. ;)

Wow that is actually a little similar to my experience. Interesting. I'll share in the blog entry, which will be next week probably.

I've seen photos of a physical person (male) sucking energy from other people.
A group of my friends had been doing readings and healings at a mystic fair in a town up north. They were telling me about a young man Lyn had met and how the others felt exhausted/drained everytime he was around them. They didn't like him and told her how they felt. Lyn was fine and thought they were just a bit jealous. On the third night she had a disagreement with him about something casual. Next thing she knew her legs went from under her and she was on the ground. He walked away and didn't try to help her up.
While my friends were telling me about it, Lyn arrived with photos she'd taken of the trip. She sat down on the couch next to me and started going through them. There were four photos taken from different angles of them all standing in group around a barbeque. In every one, the young man had a black funnel of sooty looking fog coming out of the top of his head with long fingers reaching towards or into the tops of the other peoples heads.
The first photo she handed me was taken from a deck outside the lounge of their motel suite, looking back into the room. The other three were meditating on the floor and couch. Coiled along the floor and over the arm of a chair was fine white 'slinky' (those kids toys, like springs that boing down the stairs). In between the coils were clear detailed faces of their guides in like minature cameos.
I'd never seen spirit or energy captured on ordinary film like that before. I had in my hands proof of what we could psychically see. I found it incredibly exciting.
Then Lyn grabbed the photos off me and ran into the kitchen. Next thing I saw flames leaping out of the sink. She'd set fire to the whole film and the negatives. The sight of photos had scared her and she didn't want them.
Seeing the photos was a shock for me too that someone can actually suck energy like that from other people. I guess he'd be a psychic vampire.

Hi Erin. Are these "Astral Vampires" the same thing as that of a "Chit?" My short definition of a chit is a lower entity that thrives on negativity and induces negativity. Those who can see them very rarely see the full figure. They are often black shadows, move quickly and can wreak havoc upon unsuspecting victims. These Chits have been prone to attacking my son as my son is highly sensitive to the spirit world and psychic realm. He being so young obviously does not know how to protect himself and his psychic holes were left wide open. (My fault! I did not realize how vulnerable small children could be ) No need to worry though, I booted them right out the door and they still try to come in. I protect the house daily and protect him at night. I fell asleep on his bed one night (my back was killing me, his bed isn't as soft as mine. ) while him and my youngest son were spending the night at Grandma's. The energy was intense and I thought to myself, "Oh dear, wow, my son definitely carries something strong." I fell asleep and was plagued with disgusting horrible dreams just like the ones my son had for years; I awoke to a black shadow and immediately cast protection over the room and bed. It was even more so of an eye opener as to how much they are still after my son. I am pleased to say though, he has had peaceful nights sleep for at least the last 4-5 months straight and his demeanor is much more pleasant because I will not go a day without making sure he is protected.

Do you find these vampires to be the same thing I speak of?

I wondering if the young man in the photos had picked up an astral leach or to use Crissy's word 'chit' who was using him as a host body to suck energy from other people.

This is interesting. I've also "seen" these same Chits you speak of. I've seen them as well as the aforementioned husband... they hovered around my parents' house a lot which for some strange reason was located in an area with high astral activity (my theory). They often could move very quickly, would jump in for a "quick suck" & often scared me into being awake but not entirely in my body. Very unpleasant. That's why I was so warded because they were around so darned much because they were attracted I believe to my parents.

Anyways, haha, I guess I saw the same things as you. (sorry if this is hijacking the thread)

(once again sorry if off topic but..) I will add I've met a guy who I dated like a few times & I think he was host to something astral that utilized him ..maybe symbiotically for both of them because he was a very power driven type of person who wanted to be a successful artist. Anyways, this guy had me sit down & at the time I was very naive in regards to paranormal stuff so I was like "oh sure!" & I looked into his eyes & I saw BLACK. It was very scary & I had never seen anything like that & immediately jumped up & wanted to stop. I soon stopped seeing him after this & he behaved strangely one time via e-mail.

I wonder though if this guy learned how to do this at one point & as a result attracted some astral entity which would help him with what he already wanted to do. But just to share I believe I've seen similar type stuff in regards to blackness surrounding people. The black in the eyes guy feels the same to me in regards to his intention as the guy you saw in the pictures.

The most powerfull dark entities that I have ever seen have a blackness surrounding them that looks like a starfield. My guides told me that there are always the stars with this type. The guy with the entity attached will gain power at a huge cost, that being the fact that uniting with any spirit is a trade off, as you gain power or knowledge they gain manifestation in our world via us. Eventually he would be literally at its whim, probably psychotic and definitely unable to control his destiny.

:confused: i experience several times when im sleeping, half awake half asleep kinda feeling, i can find hand/fingers kinda digging right thru my belly button, trying hard to dig inside me while im alive, that feeling is so real n i dont thnk its a gd dream or anything, n leaves me quite crippled, but i can "feel" that "force"/"hand" or watever thingy, and it happen several times til now n its always trying to dig into my bellybutton, imagine ur alive n conscious n some1 trys hard to dig into ur bellybutton using his bare fingers. I thnk u can imagine that pain lol i dunno if that thingy is a vampire :confused:

Years ago I used to get attacked quite a lot, I guess I had something they needed, that was until I realised that I was just as powerfull as they and in some cases way more. One night years ago I was relaxing in bed ready for sleep when a pressence came into my room and tried to break into the outer layer of my energy field. I gave an energetic shove with my field to push it away and was promptly pushed across the bed and into the wall for real. Nowadays If they mess with me I lucid dream and harrass their asses, I cornered one particularly nasty one not long ago and told it to back off. I am almost certain that this kind of sucker is responsible for a lot of the nightmares that people have, they have an unusual ability to induce absolute fear into their victims which is almost electrical in its nature. Anyway thats the goal, when we experience fear we give off the wavelengths they need to sustain themselves and move to the next victim;) Post edit. Just to clarify lucid dreaming is not astral projection, but when these entities visit a sleeping person they manipulate their dreams into seeing all kinds of horrors.

These beings can be particularly nasty to deal with. When I was a child (I think I was projecting) I was lying in bed really late at night. I felt as if my entire bed was shaking and these black, shadowy hands were trying to pull me through it. For some reason, I was terrified that the floor was gone and I woke up screaming. I've also had a few bad dreams/projections(?) where I've woken up exhausted and physically worn out. From what I've seen, going to sleep upset increases the likelihood of this happening. Also, if you're forceful and confident when dealing with them, they generally get scared away.

any1 experience such "attack" b4 ? and isit done by a astral vamp ? or isit jus a norm dream ? :confused:

Earlier I had asked Erin what I copied below. I just finished reading Erin's Blog......(Great read by the way)

Her first description of what she viewed while astral projecting was “I saw a dark figure with gleaming red eyes, and ears near the top of his head (batman style) instead of where human ears would be located. “

BINGO!!

This is a chit. These are the beings I was speaking of. If you will notice Erin, you had this experience after a “Fight” with Jared. There have been numerous sightings of these chits. I for one have seen them come into my home multiple times right before I boot them out the door! I also read of a gentleman who was sitting on his front porch and actually viewed multiple dark shadows with red eyes moving down the street, some entering homes. That night, 3 phone calls were made to cops for domestic disturbances within that street.

I always take notice of moments when the air seems heavy. Arguments usually break out during this time. Not only do they feed on negativity being produced but they induce negativity. What better way to feed themselves than cause negativity which in turn causes us to lash out even with more anger; all the while, not knowing that we are only helping maintain these monsters’ existence.

My mother saw a large one standing behind my father after they had just completed an argument. He had large red eyes. My father was completely oblivious to this thing nearly less than a foot away from him nearly hovering over his shoulder. My mom booted him right out the door too!

I like how Erin uses the term “Astral Vampire” and I and others have used the term “Chit”. A “Chit” can be termed in a simple way as being head lice, something that feeds on the mind and sucks the blood. A “Vampire” would be something that sucks the blood as well. Interesting. :rolleyes:


I must say, Erin, that I for one would not have enjoyed that experience. I’m sure it was frightening. :eek: I found your part about having a hard time re-entering your body to be interesting. I have OBE a lot but as I could very clearly remember them as a child and I have no recollection of the experience now except for the sensation I feel when I’m re-entering my body. I do remember clearly that I always had a hard time re-entering and I obviously have never mastered that part as I still seem to have the same problem. Lol

Well I was visited a few times by two different people or vampires or whatever they were. So I was speaking to a online friends of mine who claims to be a vampire not for sure if he is or not but point is he explained that he thought someone was projecting to me. He explained it very well, anyway i had a dream like experience but I'm almost certain it wasn't a dream. I say this because I remember it clearly as if I was awake.

In this "dream" I woke up in my room to a boy who looked around 16 I am not going into description on his looks because I don't want to. He looked like a normal guy though very attractive haha. Well all that was said was Alyssa it's jacob and then it went dark. SO I really have no clue what that was about I'd really like to know if anyone can explain more.

So you are saying vampires do exist!
 

So vampires do exist, and are not necessarily draining your blood but your energy? There are a lot of people on this earth that do that to other human beings who look for a reason to piss you off even when you are not saying or doing anything to them -are they also considered vampires?

i have never had a vampire experience (havent even gone astral) but im wondering why you would kill an astral vampire as soon as you see it. Why not ask it what it wants or if he needs help to overcome his primitive need to feed (as stated somewhere above). :)

I have just stumbled upon this forum and have a few thingz to add to your astral-vampire theory. Also, i think i may be a psi-vampire and am troubled by the possibility.

The first time I saw what you describe to be an "astral vampire, ( i call it simply a shadow, that iz what it iz ...a shape shifter, that comez and every few yearz just to remind me of itz possibility, or to drive me absoltuely mad!) I was twelve yearz old. I live on Cape Breton Island,( in Canada) known for itz energy geographically and folklorically. Actually, there iz a particular denomination of buddhist monkz that have a monestary in the highlandz, and it iz the only north american spot they have chosen, other than their place of origin, to build one. One day, I went to the corner store around the corner from where i live. It was overcast and not quite rainy, but i still wanted to rush home az i was expecting a friend. I was at the bottom of my street, by the stop sign, about four housez down, when i noticed soemthing black ( i thought the pants of my very short friend who came to vizit) stikking out from the hedgez between my folx place and the neighborz. So i ran towardz it, yelling my friendz name. I watched it move down the driveway altho at this point i still could not dechipher iz actual shape, still thinking it waz my friend playing a joke on me. When i reached the driveway, however, i slowed my run to a jog when i saw half of a shadow running through my back yard and through my fence. It was in broad daylight. I had never smoked any drugz or taken any pillz, i was a kid. I hadn't had any bad dreamz, or anything stressful going on in my life. I just saw it. It waz like half a man. A dark man, a shadow, just the legz and feet running, through the fence and down the alleyway.

Another time i specifically saw it and this time in an even more intense way ( other than seeing it in the corner of my eye through the yearz), waz when i waz 21. I awoke from sleep, not tired and almost in shock that i waz awake. there was no abrupt waking either, just opened my eyez and realized i was for some reason not asleep, i had no bad dreamz. I wanzn't tired and i laid there for about five minutez trying to get back to sleep. I had no bad feelingz ( and am a sensitive and clairvoant etc...but with some weird twistz) and i waznt thinking about anything strange or out of the ordinary. I turned to get comfortable, from facing the wall to facing the end of my bed only to discover The Dark Man standing at the edge of my bed. It stood very tall, with a silhouette of only a head and shoulderz that went straight to the floor.I could see itz blakk shadow like mass even tho it waz pitch blakk in my room. The difference between the two blakks iz still hard to decribe. I know i waznt dreaming or projecting. Az i got scared ( cuz it just waz there and freaked me out...my reaction was to turn to the wall once again..) i saw it in my periferal vision az i turned away. It did not dissappear until i turned away from it, making me believe it meant bizznizz, whatever that bizznizz waz..

I am now 28 and have had other very intense, mysterious thingz happen. Knowing when bad thingz will happen, predicting the finding of murdered gurl who was missing for two yearz down to exact location, being drawn there to sense itz location.... Alot of stuff haz gone on, but not everyday. I had a dream this year, of a floating head. A shadow figure once again, with long tendrills of hair ( almost like the predator and also like smoke) floating in front of me and following me around the same house i saw the Dark Man in and around. I have alot of disturbing dreamz of my mothers house even az recently az last week dreaming of a severed head resting on my mother's door step..plz email me for more detailz..) In this dream i was frightened by it'z presence at frst only to get the courage to face it and try and communicate with it. It had red eyez and a mouth full of tiny little teeth of white individual light sourcez. I tried to talk to it and we communicated through telepathy. It told me it waz very unhappy with how loud the television waz and i turned it down to please it. I got a sense that it was just so overly sensitive that it appeared to be harmful but by the time the dream ended, we were still communicating and i felt very relaxed. Mind you a floating black shadow head with red eyez and gelaming teeth would scare most ppl, i took the time to understand it and it proved to not be a threat.

I believe that theze energiez can be either good or evil. Or just plain in the middle. Kind of like people, who care both energie sources in us. I have also told ppl about these stories over the years only to discover some of them having the same experiences. I really apologise for making such a long post and will end it now. But I would really like to know what you think of this and will continue posting my experiencez to help otherz. Also, lately there have been some very unexplainable events happening at my motherz house again. If you would like me to elaborate on this i will put it in another post. Welcome to the forum Scarelicious . I guess there are 2 types of astral vampires , flesh and blood people that most dont know they are astral vampires and the ghost like shape shifters you discribe . For the flesh and blood type , I have heard if you dont look them in the eyes they cant get your energy . I would think a shield of white lite would provide some protection as well . desert rat

I do not know what I met one night was; so if anyone here thinks they know please tell me. I was walking home one night and I had the feeling of being watched and followed the whole way home. I also had the overwhelming feeling of malevolence directed at me. Once I was home I went to my bedroom and turned on the light. Standing in front of my desk was a man shaped shadow. It appeared to me it was as shocked as me seeing it. The physical effects occurred before the light was on. They included becoming very cold, hair on the back of my neck and the feeling of impending danger. I grabbed the Kris (2 foot long wavy blade) from my alter, and said in a low voice “Get out!” At that point it leaped ten feet across the room in one smooth motion like gravity had no sway over it and disappeared out the open window. I made sure to consecrate the entire house that night and I have never seen “it” again. I knew in the marrow of my bones it was the most malevolent being I have ever met in this life.
One of the things in this situation I have pondered on is: Why was it shocked? Was it because I was not supposed to be able to see it? I have dealt with some negative things out there but this one was unique in my experiences. Any ideas?

Well I've never actually seen anything like this, but I have had some pretty wierd experiences which I still can't explain, and haven't really spoken about since they happened.

Basically a few years ago I was living in an old leather furniture warehouse. Had my own space and shared the warehouse with about 12 others, various artists and other misfits.

I wasn't getting along with one woman who lived nextdoor to me. Basically she was a heroin user and some money went missing from my room one day which I think she manipulated her 'cousin' who was really just some guy she had seduced and would do anything for her:rolleyes:, to sneak into my space and take. I wasn't the only one whose money went missing that day, so it was quickly deduced that it was her, though no proof was found.

One night I was lying on my bed trying to fall asleep, when I heard a loud knock right where my head was. It was quite late and I felt a bit scared and thought it was the girl next door just playing a prank, trying to scare me. I hesitantly went to my door and when I opened it there was noone there??
I didn't step outside my door, so I don't know whether she was hiding behind one of the pillars holding the roof up. I didn't hear her door close or anything...there was literally no sound at all, everyone was asleep. I still to this day have no idea who, or what, knocked on my wall?

Before we had our spat though, and we were friends, she was talking to me one night and all of a sudden her head sort of twitched and she said "the old woman" was here? She said that an old woman sometimes shows up? I looked behind her and saw what looked like the heat effect on a tarmac when a plane is about to take off...you know, where everything kinda shimmers...there was that effect in the shape of a body right behind her. She was a witch (the girl) and I think she was also a prostitute (but she said she ran a brothel).

Anyway, I know that isn't a vamp thing, but there was just some wierd stuff happening in that place...I felt like I was being watched (and no, I wasn't regularly smoking weed or dropping acid) It was tangible.

A few years later when I moved into this house in Melbourne...I had a similar experience with something knocking on my bedroom wall...though it came from outside this time and when I looked out my window, there was noone there? I have no clue what that was about, but it was creepy.

In the last few months, when I was lying in my bed with eyes closed, I did see a flash of what I can only describe as a demons head in my mind...it had red skin, or red eyes...I'm not sure which right now...just that there was red...it only lasted a moment though?

I do watch Buffy alot though?:D

The thing behind her was attached to her feeding off of her negative energy. The thermal effect tells me it was an astral being.
The knocking on the wall might be your guid telling you to pay attention. That is a great thing.
