I had one of the most thrilling dream I've ever had last night here it goes.. bit of a disclaimer though - it contains some stuff that may offend Christians .. I swear this is my dream and I don't mean to offend anyone. If you are easily offended then please don't read any further. In the first scene, someone (can't remember face - but a guy) is inviting me to some function in a church ... I politely decline the invitation and he's cool with it. Then in the next, I'm driving a hearse into a cemetery only to later find out that I'm driving my cousin's body (who I haven't seen in long time in real life).. lets call her Shelly - she has been murdered. I'm devastated but I decide to find out what happened to her and try to re-track her last steps. Then a thought strikes me that the guy who invited me to that church function invited her too. That strikes me as an epiphany and I'm thinking "THEY KILLED HER IN THE CHURCH!!" .. then I remember that my Shelly is a Muslim (she isn't - I'm not either) so I conclude that it must be a hate crime. They must have known that she's a Muslim, invited her there so they can kill her. At that time my heart rate is probably shooting through the roof. That church is next door to where I was in the first scene so I go over to investigate. When I get to that church, it has no name .. just some weird letters engraved in concrete (two letter name followed by three letters). In the next scene, cops are chasing me (can't remember by foot or in a car).. I just know that they are chasing me... on a long straight road - probably a dusty desert road. What's more, I KNOW and I am certain that those cops are crooks. I absolutely know that they want to kill me because I'm the only one who knows who killed Shelly. I manage to escape the cops and enter a Sikh Temple (I'm a Sikh) and I tell a person there what's happening.. that Temple is a real one near my house. Anyway, the guy there gives me a phone and I call another cousin of mine - Shelly's real brother. I tell him what's happening and we start planning how to get out escape me out of the town so I can get out and expose what's happened - the murder and the crooked cops. Then bang! I wake up breathless, fearful and thirsty - 5 minutes before the alarm was set to go off. I never got to the climax of my own dream It sounds like a scene out of a thriller - Dan Brown type movie - but it isn't. Not one thing has been exaggerated. I remember the dream vividly. I've never looked for dream explanations but I had to post this one to share it with you guys and to see if there's anything more to it?? BTW, I'm not anti-Christian or anti-Muslim .. in fact, I'm very open-minded. So if you conclude that I had that dream because I hate either religion, I'm going to have to disagree with you. Any explanations? Last edited by AshNZ; 01-07-2011 at 08:32 AM. |

I've never done this before, so take it for what it's worth: EDIT: Sorry, that first interpretation seemed wrong. Let me try another that may be more accurate to your life. Your cousin is also open-minded and gave another religion a chance (she accepted the priest's invitation). Due to the clash in religious ideologies and confusion created by it, her faith was killed (her death). As a result, you blame the new religion, and see their teachings as an attack on your cousin (murder/hate crime). So you speak out against the new religion, perhaps telling everyone how wrong and dangerous it is. You are then persecuted by that religion (the chase), as they did not intend harm on your cousin (cops, the religion chasing you thinks they are doing "good" because they see your slander as "evil"). But you see the fallacies in their religion ("crooked" cops), and believe your religion is the correct religion (returning to your temple). I don't think the actual religions from the dream are important - the point is they are two different ones. The warning: What you think you know, may very well only be an assumption. You may not be as open minded as you believe. The first interpretation: Your cousin is also open-minded and gave another religion a chance. The clash of religious-ideologies will kill her faith. You see her "death" (in regards to faith), but instead of "dying" yourself, you can now see through the fallacies of certain religions. You outwardly share your new found truth, and as a result, will be persecuted by religious followers (as they are trying to protect their values and/or ulterior motives). The warning: Careful who you share your knowledge with. While you may be trying to help, others may interpret your assistance as an attack. I don't know you well enough to decide, but I feel the second attempt is more accurate. Last edited by Anthoneee; 01-10-2011 at 01:41 AM. |

Well I don't know...but I have had some wild crazy vivid dreams in my time. Once I was having this recurring dream about me being the getaway driver for a bank robbery! The storyline was really good too -like from a novel or a movie...all the details were very vivid. Go figure! lol! I have NO idea what that was about! |

Now that I think about it, when I enter my own temple in later part of the dream, I do not enter and make a prayer. I don't even remember going in and following certain customs that take place when you enter a Sikh temple. I think this may be also revealing something or it may be just that it happened this way because I was quite hurried in that part of the dream. Certainly food for thought. I think my cousin had little to do with this dream. In fact, being in a different country at the moment, I haven't even seen her for 6-7 years. I certainly don't know what (if any) spiritual issues she may be facing at the moment. I think my cousin was just a catalyst to help me get to a truth. It could have been anyone. Thanks a lot for your post. I've never had a dream interpreted before, but in one of his books, Dan Millman suggested that we try it. I didn't think it will reveal anything but your explanation is very revealing. I will definitely try it again with other dreams that I may have in future. Regarding the comment about being open-minded, I'm open-minded enough to realize that it may be true. Consciously, I make all the effort I can to stay open-minded but subconsciously, it may not be always possible. Last edited by AshNZ; 01-10-2011 at 05:43 AM. | |
