Keep forgetting to mention this but I had my first real lucid dream! In one dream a few weeks ago, I had a few seconds of lucidity. I found myself bald in my dream and gave myself hair. Woke up immediately after. In this dream, my entire family was fighting or in peril. That's unusual for my family but so it was. At some point, this thought entered my mind: "I'm dreaming! I could go lucid right now!". And so I did. I fixed everything in a snap and literally flew away. I didn't know what to do first. I started changing things in the landscape and then remembered Steve talking about how he was inspecting a tree in one of his lucid dreams. I did the same thing and quickly got bored. If this was a common occurrence, I probably would have spent more time checking things like that out. Took off from the tree and went to a big city. Flew right in the window of a skyscraper and hung out for a while. Shortly after that though, weird things started happening. Random objects, things that couldn't exist, stuff like that. I'd basically lost control and went back into a non- lucid state. Is that normal? At any rate, very cool stuff. I will definitely keep pursing this interest for a long time. |

Congratulations, it is quite normal that you will not have in the beginning the ultimate control over the "consciousness" in your dreams. The ability will dramatically evolve if you experiment in general with your consciousness (drug free) and trying some techniques and keep a open mindset. gl ~sb |

That's awesome! So far I've only had one lucid dreaming experience. I found myself having the ability to control my dream so I decided to walk around. I didn't do anything cool, I just witnessed everything. I walked down one of the most beautiful hallways I've ever seen, then entered a house and played in it. I will say, since then I've gotten more into meditation, and I've had some amazing dreams from that, though I wouldn't call them lucid. |
