It feels like it's been a while since I've had a lucid dream, regardless of the large number of dreams in which I've performed much needed reality checks, only to ignore their results. It doesn't come as much of a surprise to me as my home and my mind has been cluttered for months. I haven't been able to relax and focus on anything and so lucid dreaming was just another thing put aside. Nevertheless, I'm hoping I can find some peace soon (I think I'm finally close to regaining some stability) and within that time fall back into the wonderful world of lucid dreaming (hopefully I can gain the experience I need to get better out of it all). I am aware that it's useful to find something that frequently comes up in our dreams and to exploit it, using it as a tool to become lucid. Well, for at least months, I've been dreaming of cats almost constantly. They appear in my dreams as if my dreams were growing catnip - individually and in both small and large groups. The cats sometimes relax, bite and even talk. Two nights ago, one of the cats in my dream had three tails. It was also quite bothered about something. Last night, two cats in my dream were injured and bloody. I was walking with them and planning to help them and they would talk to me (can't remember what about), but they had a tendency to slowly bite at me if the opportunity came up. Anyway, cats are surely a tool to lucidity in my world. I see them occasionally in my waking world and try to remember to perform a reality check (to get it into my head), though I do keep forgetting. When I feel more at ease, I am going to build on all of this and try to make it a real tool for me to use. If possible, I would like some tips on the various ways I could further expose and emphasise this in my mind to really make the best of it. |
