Default Meditation Doubts

Hi...
Whenever I meditate,I feel an automatic gentle to and fro forward and backward vibration at the base of spinal chord and my body also starts vibrating. Why does it happen? Is it nervous weakness or due to any other fault? How to prevent it?

I wouldn't think this is nervous Have you ever heard of Kundalini ? it could be it, though, I'd read more on the topic to get reassured if I were you, or perhaps you should turn to a proper teacher to canalize what is happening...

The answer to this question depends on who would answer this question. A yogi might say: "It's kundalini. A Theravada Buddhist would say that kundalini is but a concept. His advice would most probably be: "Just observe it." Or: "Just observe and note it."

Kundalini is anchored at the base of the spine and it can cause a switch back and forth between the left side of the spine and the right side of the spine.

The think to do is to focus forward in the brain between the eyebrows and as you do that, send an energy back down the spine down the center of the spine. If you can do this effectively the right side and left side will balance out each other and the vibration will change into a more pleasant experience.

I get this when meditating most days. A rhythmic rocking or sometimes swaying or circling. I attribute it to being deeply relaxed and therefore easily moved, stimulated either by the natural pulsing of my heart/blood, maybe breathing, or possibly both. I just observe it and don't think much of it. I do find it relaxing though

I have a feeling it is kundalini as soon as you told me about the swaying and spinal feelings, but Im not there to see or experience it so I wont say so for sure

If it is, in fact kundalini, you might experience something rather bitter-sweet. It is a new and powerful energy, but the awakening of it is said to range from mild discomfort to mind numbing pain :/
