Default Did a spirit guide respond to my call?

Last night, I went to a fancy dress party for the family, which is fairly large. I am close to them to some extent as they're my family and I'm sure they do care for me, but I'm also very distant from them (it's just how I am and feel as a person).

I was looking forward to this party in particular (I'm not a party person, but my family parties aren't too bad). However, all turned sour when I was building a lot of stress prior to leaving the house. I started to build some pains in my head and eyes but I knew I would still go. During the journey (around 40 minutes long), I did what I was beginning to expect and I threw up all over my costume and in my cousin's car. I'm no stranger to feeling travel sick, but it's extremely rare that something comes up.

This crushed my morale and I became horribly negative. I'm quite negative in general, but I wanted to try for once to enjoy myself, socialise, dance and whatever else to simply be a part of it all for a change, but my confidence was shot and I was very disappointed. I spent a while cleaning myself up in the bathroom and went through the night with more pains and retained the feeling of nausea. Nobody really cared about whether or not I threw up on my outfit or anything like that, which was a plus, but I was still stressed. I've been trying to build more confidence and to improve in certain ways, but these moments of bad luck continue to strike at me.

There came a point when I was standing in this small area near the exit, away from everybody else. However, people often came out to smoke and would occasionally stand in that small area as it was raining outside. At one point, too many of them came out. They weren't bothered, loud and enjoying every moment as they laughed, bantered and socialised, but it began to get too much as I stood in the corner in my silence, trying to push through these mental obstacles of mine as ever. More people started to come out, lighting up new cigarettes, starting new conversations and so forth.

Then, suddenly, I knew enough was enough. I felt this horrible frustration and wanted everybody to clear away. So, in my mind, I called out for this spirit guide, which I've been trying to contact in my lucid dreams. As a certain wolf kept appearing when contact attempts were about to be made, I referred to the wolf as the guide and then just asked him, if possible, to clear the area and make them all go away. I wasn't really expecting anything to happen, but it actually did. Rather strangely, everybody just spontaneously and immediately cleared away until there was only emptiness. Conversations just literally cut, regardless of their position and freshly lit cigarettes were thrown aside. The noise just reduced and they all wandered away, somewhat aimlessly. At no other point would they all clear like that and nothing else was going on to pull them away like that.

It felt strange, though I acknowledged it could be a coincidence. I couldn't help but ponder over it, though.

Is it actually possible that my call was answered? Can guides even work in such ways, affecting other people like that? Have you had any similar experiences?

Thats pretty interesting, and its too much of a coincidence to be labled as a coincidence. Yeah, I think your guides answered your call for help, and I have heard of others with somewhat simular stories. Pretty cool, if you ask me!

Definitely cool if so.

I was recently complaining about not being able to pin down any convincing signs. This is certainly something to think about, no doubt.

My mom used to say that every year around particular family birthdays, there would be signs from our deceased relatives (like a happy birthday message from them to let us know they're around). I never paid too much attention to it, although I did still acknowledge it. For example, we could be coming up to a very important birthday and a picture on the wall of a deceased relative would fall down after staying up without a problem for a whole year.

My mom was wondering about some signs recently, as the fancy dress party was for a 60th birthday for one of the sisters in the family, but she said nothing had happened. Yesterday, she won some money on a scratchcard and she's counting that as a sign, despite it being a really small amount (she needs it, though). I'm a bit more stubborn and don't give in too easily to signs like that, which would probably make it difficult for a guide to give me a sign of any kind, but I've now had two that are rather blunt and I'm beginning to think it's time to take real notice of them.

Thats the thing, though~ most of the signs that spirits and guides give us are usually rather small, and most people usually sum the experience up as a coincidence or totally disregard the sign all together, because they want and/ or expect something bigger or something more paranormal. The truth is, though, is that our guides/ spirits are always communicating with us, giving us signs, sending us messages, ect., but a lot of it goes unaware. A few weeks ago, I was reading a thread on here that was about guides and signs, and after reading it, I thought to myself "Well, if your around, (my guide) then give me a sign", then forgot about it and went on to the next thread. A few moment later, a door i8n my apartment opened somewhere, so I took my cat with me to go investigate. my cat was acting funny the whole time, pawing at something in the air, and I never did find the open door. Was it a coincidence? It could have been, but I like to think it was my sign that I had asked for.

Absolutely.

I think it's also about things on a personal level. I think when we look for something big, it's usually something that could be a big deal to a lot of people as opposed to something simple and personal to just us.

As of lately, I've noticed 'wolf' coming up more than usual on television. It's not a major sign that everybody can notice, but something personal to me.

I think it's probably obvious and I'm just being too stubborn. I've had the wolf appear in dreams when I'm trying to connect with it. There was even a dream where I was nervous and afraid of this wolf I was seeing, which was just resting about. I was trying to find a way to get away from the area and it seemed to notice this and so it walked away. Usually, from what I can recall, fear in my dreams extend the fear and attract it like a magnet - I've never had a fear acknowledge my feelings and leave for my benefit.

I had a moment when I was heavily looking into angel numbers, trying to find some for me. As I posted in another topic, there came a night when my MP3 player started to control itself. It navigated all through the system by itself, played a song I had created and eventually got to the point of the song where the line was very meaningful and then paused right at '2:22'.

Signs are definitely coming up and so is this wolf. I don't know if guides get annoyed about things but surely my guide must be saying, "Oh, for crying out loud, I'm giving you sign after sign!"

Wolves are like people in the respect that they are Pack animals. They work, hunt, survive better and more efficiently, in the Pack.
But sometimes they go lone. Sometimes the reason for that is to find new territory. That can happen when there are too many young males in the pack, and the pack has become quite large. Or to wander until they find a mate and form their own pack, of which they will often be the leader.
This wolf sounds like he understands. Maybe that's why the guide is a wolf.
That is very interesting.

Interesting points and there are a few other aspects of my life that match that nature of the wolf.

The biggest thing, though, is the fact that I actually have 'wolf' within part of my second name. However, I wasn't born with it. Years ago, I was experiencing a lot of changes during more of my troubled moments (when in need of help and I felt abandoned) and after a lot of different projects, titles, etc, somehow I ended up changing part of my name as I felt it had this big and strange affect on how my life was going. I didn't wake up and just decide to include that in my name - it was more of a process to get to it and the final decision came after the experiences. For example, I could put my actual name at the time on a project and this new name on another project and it would always be the one with 'wolf' that would shine or generate something the other couldn't seem to do.

When I was first thinking about spirit guides, I joked and remarked how it would be crazy if my guide just so happened to be a wolf. After the wolf appeared, I was reluctant to believe in it as I couldn't be sure whether it was in fact my guide or it just came up because my mind thought it would be interesting. Now with how things are going, I'm getting more of the idea that I do have this wolf as a guide and that's what affected my name. It was like a major and constant sign that somehow this 'wolf' was guiding my life.

Well, I have had an inexplicable connection with wolves ever since I can remember....ever since I was about 3 years old. I find it hard to remember the actual 'birth' of this (ie what image, story, or whatever, started this) And the interesting thing is my connection with them was always benign, which is unlikely to have been a child's mind influenced by fairy tales...as the wolf in fairy tales is usually a symbol of evil.
As I grew up, this partly morphed into a connection with dogs...so much so that I felt the whole "canine connection" as stronger than many human connections! and many years later -still do! Put it this way, dogs and wolf-hybrids (for I have never met a full-blooded wolf unfortunately)-just instinctively "know me" whereas humans find it hard to know me. They just know my soul, they know what I'm made of, they treat me simply, logically, and without certain complicated issues that I don't understand. I feel kindred with them, easily and with no problems.

Now I don't quite know where that came from, but have learned that's more or less strong in me, having been there as long as I can possibly remember, and I trust it, and it will always bring me joy and stability and truth somehow beyond ordinary comprehension.

They came to befriend, and help, and teach -something I must need in this life.

God takes many shapes.

It sounds like a great connection and I know, like yourself, I'd love to one day visit some full blooded wolves and to experience something special.

I don't have what you have, though. The odd thing with me is that I'm not very fond of dogs, though I've not had too many problems with them at this point. I tend to fear big dogs and I'd never want to own one for that reason. I often find it odd how I can like a wolf and not a dog, but then I haven't been around a wolf in the flesh just yet. If the opportunity comes up and I meet the animal in a hostile mood, for all I know that could alter how I feel about them (combining the same fears to them that I have with dogs) and I can't imagine how that would affect guides and the like.

I don't usually have a big deal with animals in person, though. Be they dogs I'm stuck around or often cats, many of them tend to want to sleep on my lap or sit at my side. I found it funny when I knelt by this cat and it was jumping up on my leg like a dog and almost running all around me. Still, I sometimes come across those cats who see you and escape as quickly as possible.

There was one thing I don't think I mentioned and that's my mother's claim of recent visions, some of which had a wolf at my side and she said she got a name for it. I don't know where these visions are suddenly coming from and she's never mentioned stuff like this before, but apparently she got a name that was something like (she wasn't perfectly sure) 'Runealph'. I tried to look online to see if that name brought anything of interest up (mainly it just wanted to correct it and make it 'Rudolph' ), but I couldn't find much. The only thing I found interesting was when I found 'Rune Alphabet', but I couldn't go any further than that.

I'm a little bothered that she told me, to be honest. At first, I was all for hearing it, but now I'm bothered about finding out the name of this animal in a lucid dream. If the same name comes up, it could be right or just my mind using the same name. I think it would have been better if she wrote the name down and kept it away from me until I got a name for myself, which I could compare to the name she received.

Wolf is to dog as dreams are to people.
Wolves are intrinsically different to dogs, yet in dog, there is memory of wolf as ancient ancestor. But they behave differently, and many domestic dogs have no idea of the kind of discipline that operates within the wolf pack, and keeps the order (and health and wellbeing) of things.
Dogs have been in contact with mankind for a long time at least 10,000 years, and have taken on a lot of conditioning which is human in origin. And they have also lost contact with pack discipline, and very often their owners have no clue how to restore this to them, and bring balance to their lives. Many dogs are stressed, in one way or another.

So I can understand why you can feel a connection with wolf, and not so much with dogs Some dogs have forgotten to "dream wolf". But sometimes I see and feel flashes of this ancestry in dogs. I love it when I do.

A rather unexpected update.

It wasn't too long ago that I was sleeping and eventually I was in my aunt's living room. A lot of the family had been gathered, but I was in the room by myself. I performed reality checks and confirmed that I was dreaming. I don't feel my awareness level was all that great but enough for me to remember my priority - call upon my guide.

Rather than follow the usual plan (head to the snowy field at the back of my house and call upon the guide there), I decided to do it there in the living room as I was concerned I would lose what little awareness I had upon changing scenes (this happened a few times recently when lucid for a mere few seconds).

So, I mentioned this to the guide, that I was just going to do it there. At first, nothing was appearing. I had the wolf in mind, waiting for him to show, but nothing. I decided to get on my knees and I put my palms out to get him to come over. However, still without luck, I decided to (and I don't know why I did) whistle and treat him like dog, saying, "Here boy!"

In my head, for a moment, I wondered if I had just said his actual name (boy) (blame it on low levels of awareness).

Well, I turned my head away from the doorway where I was expecting there to come any guide, only to see this small dog now in view in the room. It was quite like one of those Jack Russell dogs. Personally, I don't really like them. Nonetheless, up it jumped and over it came to my hands, but it started biting at them, which hurt. Two things started crossing my mind at that point, one being concern that my guide was in fact this dog and my other concern as to why my guide would want to bite and hurt me!

When it stopped, I started to ask things. I asked something about the wolf guide and it shook its head. I think I was thinking something about an exchange of guides (lol) and it shook its head. Something was then said in some sort of visual way (I don't know, it's weird), and it was about this guide being with me for the next eight years.

After that, I think my awareness was out. So, what an unexpected turn of events but I'm still not sure what to believe as I can't imagine why the guide would be biting at me and hurting me, unless it's just a dog thing and not intended to cause pain.

If anybody is interested, here is another topic I made after this one, which continued with an interesting dream (featuring clouds of animals and what felt like a choice as I selected a path). Majestic Dream Signs & Symbols

This all seems too strange to me and the only thing I can think is that this dog, if it really is a guide, is now replacing the wolf, which could have been the guide beforehand. However, I'm not convinced about it just yet.

I got interested in the Kabbalah a while back, and studied it for quite a few years. I quite like it, but don't work that now.
Anyway, I do remember one saying from those studies. (Can't remember exactly where I read this but never forgot it):
"The Master indwells in anything which is teaching you something at the time"
So it could be that the Guide can change shape in a sense (I know you are not so fond of dogs) to show you something, whatever that might be...

[Jack Russells are incredibly bright dogs, they can also be little devils! I know, I used to have one! Mine was a great dog full of character but he used to bite peoples shoes (while they were wearing them!) -given half the chance. I tried very hard to break him of this habit but never quite managed it.]

I think you could be right. I was running that thought through my mind and things do come to a surface.

For instance, my head was looking at the wolf as being superior in every way to the Jack Russell. I felt a certain attachment to the wolf that was nice but maybe too strong. When the small dog appeared, I felt detached. I felt like I didn't need the guide, its company, advice, etc, that I could survive without it.

I think it's beneficial in that it's making me look back at myself for answers and guidance. However, most importantly, it showed me something very important. You see, despite how I feel about dogs, a part of me dislikes the idea of a Jack Russell for some of the same reasons I actually dislike myself!

Big dogs make me more nervous than small dogs, but I looked at that Jack Russell guide as weak. I looked at it as being small, weak and without any self-control. The thing is, I am a very self conscious person. I'm not very tall and I don't have much weight. For those two reasons, I always feel incredibly weak and afraid of the world for the fear that I'd never be able to defend myself if ever in a conflict. My mind wanders and thoughts fly all over without any sense of control. I feel helpless. That's not to say I desired some animal guide that I feel could even take down a wolf or anything else, but I felt like it was stronger in many ways with more solace and control than the Jack Russell.

Well, I guess it has already taught me things by making me become aware more so to what I've just shared. I guess, if this is my guide for now, I'll have to just open my mind and let it teach me.

By the way, I was out last night with others. There came a point when I stood in the street away from the rest as they prepared the car. As I turned to my right, there was a man walking a husky-like dog, which looked a lot like a wolf. I immediately felt the usual senses creeping up, reminding me that I'm afraid of these animals, but I just stood there and stared at it. My head told me to look away because I've heard some dogs react violently when people stare at them (I don't know if it's true or not). Anyway, I turned away, but had to turn back as the dog started crossing the path, coming over to me, even though it was on a leash. I decided to take the risk, reached out and stroked it a few times (by the way, talk about the softest of fur, haha). It then looked around and made this howling-type sound, before the man made a joke and then they went on their way.

I felt like it meant something. I know not everything has to mean something, but I felt that meant something. Anyway, it felt good to be able to stand there and briefly interact with the animal with the concerns just flooding away. It made such a change. I'd usually be ducking for cover or stepping aside as the animal would just wander close but continue on its way.

You might not be tall, but I can tell you that your energy is not small. It is big. These bodies that we use are temporary vehicles, they are not the sum total of our person....and the interface of Soul and Personality.
I always felt about you that you are a tall person!
Now that's how I felt your energy.
As for Jack Russells....they are the toughest little critters on the planet apart from Pit Bulls. Like I said -I know because I used to have one. They are not wusses. They might be little yappers but they aint no lap dogs! They are tenacious, untiring, wilful, intelligent. They endure.

And another thing. Dogs (re: the beautiful Husky dog you met with) -have a strange ability to sense very quickly, exactly where you are at. You put out a noble vibe, or a friendly vibe....they sense it immediately. They know when there is love too. (or even "like")

Sounds like you are doing well.....

Thank you, Bluestar. Thank you for your contributions and your words. I value your input and I must say that it is also a great thing to be reminded that this physical shell doesn't speak for the greater within me. I looked at myself in the mirror today and something was different. Things are changing and I can feel it inside / on a higher level. I also keep feeling as though the entire world is about to go through a change, particularly where I've been noticing that a lot of crooked industries and other things are suddenly getting exposed to more people. I think something is going to happen and the world is going to 'wake up'. I'm even thinking the same thing in my dreams, feeling bursts of energy as I see things and tell others with excitement that it's true - the world really is changing!

It's a good time for me to step up and advance on a spiritual level, right in time for 2011 (that's going to be a big year for me on so many levels).

If anything else of great interest soon comes up from my guide/s, I'll consider sharing it.
