Help with Unwanted Obe's Hello mates, I'm back here with a problem. Theres a bloke I know that needs some help with Obe's and Paralysis in general. Some quick background information about the mate, is that he seems to experience symptoms of OBE's, but doesn't want to. He is not interested in projecting, or anything of that matter, nor does he control when or how it happens. I'll just quote him on the whole story from here on: "It all started one night when I was sleeping, and I woke up on my bed, got halfay up and suddenly noticed my body sleeping in the bed. Then I saw some shadowy figure with a cap just staring at me. He just stared at me for about 2-4 minutes, maybe more. It felt like time didn't exist so I can't tell. So then he suddenly dissapeared, and I felt a huge rush of fear, and I felt pressure on my chest, even though I could still breathe, like that guy was choking me or something. Then I woke up. After a while I've had anotherone, when I was sleeping on my stomach and I felt tiny footsteps near my legs, At first I thought it was my cat, but it died 2 years ago. I woke up afterwards. Another attack was when I awoke to see a black hole in my room, out of which came out a black hand with very long fingers that reached out for my head. I closed my eyes and when I opened them it was gone. Then I was getting nervous and scared, so I slept near my parents and asked them to wake me up if they heard any noises from me. So I was sleeping and had that paralysis again, so I screamed. My dad heard me whisper and woke me up. The next day I had the same thing. After a few days I went to sleep and had a paralysis, but I heard a voice say something to me, though it didn't sound threatening, It had my voice. I was still scared so I screamed and my parents woke me up. There was also a time I listened to this meditation tape on youtube, and I was sitting trying to meditate. When suddenly I heard a high pitched Beep, and I heard a scream, a strong loud angry hellish scream. I fell on the floor with my body stiff, and my heart was beating very fast. After that first attack I became very tired and paranoid. I have pains in my neck and back, and I often get vibrations when falling asleep. Nowdays I also have nightmares everyday. " I know many of these symptoms could be explained by Natural causes, but the whole story worries me. In general the mate wants to stop having paralysis, obes and all of that. |
So, do you think your friend is definitely not up for learning how to work through this, find training and guidance, learn how to work with astral projection...instead of turning away from it? Of course, like any other thing in life, one has a choice whether to pursue development in something, or not. There's no reason why he has to if he really doesn't want to. If it freaks him out too much. But being able to do this is a kind of talent, or ability. (even though I know it is scary....believe me I do know, as I have had some well scary stuff too when going out of body, as well as some interesting things) Because of my own lack of perfect control of out of body experiences, I can't really offer good advice on all the "how-to's" (or "how-not-to's") But I'm certain other people on here could help such a lot. But perhaps it would be a shame if he passed on this ability of his because there is a lot of fear? Doing something like this is always scary. Plus he may be meeting entities which scare him because he is centered mostly in fear when he goes out of body. I have a feeling he could learn to overcome this stuff perhaps, with the right learning, and guidance.... |

As the for the "cat feet", they may very well have been from the deceased cat, in which case I'd say it was more protective than harmful. Pets sometimes seem to stay around those who loved them. As for the other experiences, your friend needs to learn some grounding and shielding. It seems the high stress triggers these experiences for some people. Could that be an issue? |
If this person really want this to stop l am thinking hypnosis because this person is obiously open for subconscious suggestions. And l think this is the problem. My suggestion is selfhypnosis/meditation every night: l am a rock. My aura( or what this person believe is ok) is a diamond, reflections is outwards, Obe is much cool but only volountarely =) |
Certainly there are things that will discourage out of body experiences. One of them is deep sleep. That can be helped along by a lot of physical exertion and plenty of food in the day, but not eating a large meal too late in the evening as that can disturb deep sleep. Alcohol can encourage a deep sleep too (far be it from me to suggest something so bad and non-PC as that!! ha ha)....but a glass of wine or something like a shot of brandy about an hour before bed can help. Obviously not taken to the extent of addiction problems! A hot drink before sleep will help deep sleep too, being very tired, physically well-exercised, with lots of "earthing" kind of food will all help. |
I have tried for years to astral project and cant . Erin has a blog , how to prevent a.p. You should find it on her section of the forum . desert rat |
here is the link Can you prevent astral projection? |
IMO the best remedy is learning about those things and understanding how to set aside the initial fear. Of course, that's assuming the OBEs don't stop. Erin's article on the matter (linked above) is a good start. Not surprising, first on her list is don't sleep on your back. Although sometimes I semi-project while on my side! Books of Robert Monroe and Robert Bruce may also help in understanding more fully, although some of the same info is surely available online. They both say that the "hellish" sounds, voices, appearance of beings, are to be ignored. But I'd bet Monroe's sense of detached observation is not easy for everyone. Bruce and Monroe both suggest commanding the offending "being" or "voice" to leave. Maybe you can try this if you project. One time I heard a "demonic" voice and I told it in a firm tone, "GO AWAY!" and it went away. Another thing that may help...leave some light on so the room is lit, and when you project it may be more comfortable. It may sound childish, but I even have light in my room in case I project and encounter something unwanted. |
