My mom died when I was 10, I'm now 20 and still miss her terribly. She died in her sleep so I never got to say goodbye or anything close. I don't know if this is right to ask or not, but if anyone has the ability to pick up on spirits and you want to try to connect to her I'd be forever grateful. I miss her so much and I just want some sort of way to make sure she knows how much I love her and maybe some affirmation she's okay. Her name was Trina. If anyone wants to/can help please either post back/pm me. If you need other information please let me know. Or if you know of anyway I could personally do this I would love some advice.

I have no definite proof of this, and might be wrong, but I feel that the ones who have 'passed over' stay only a fairly short time near the Earth Plane, and very often do contact their loved ones they have left behind during this short period. Awareness of them might come in dreams, or on waking or falling asleep. Or in the middle of an ordinary day, out of the blue. Even to people who are not actually Mediums.

They stay a while, then as they grow and develop deeper into their Soul bodies, move on to different levels.
I don't mean to say that to disappoint you or anything, and of course not being a Medium as such, I just might have it wrong. But I can only say from my own experience.

But of course as you were only 10, and no doubt trying hard to cope with that loss at the time, you may not remember incidents you might have experienced then?
Can you recall anything?

I'm sorry to hear of your Mum's passing. I lost my Mum very recently so I can really empathise with you. I know this doesn't really help or answer your question but I'm pretty sure that your Mum knows that you love her from where she is right now.

As bluestar has said, I also think that a person's spirit stays close to their loved ones on earth only for a week or two before moving on. It is in that time that any communication between the spirit and their loved ones on earth will happen if it's going to happen.
Don't despair though because I'm sure communication can still take place a long time afterwards but in order for this to happen you will need the services of a genuine psychic or medium.
