How do you deal with an energy vampire?

How do you protect yourselves against an energy vampire? One that you have to deal with on almost a daily basis and can't avoid or walk away from?


My Manager at work is an energy vampire and I need help to deal with her in a postive way. Another staff member who recently quit was the one who warned me about her being one. I've never had to deal with such a strong one before. I have started to take my power back from her and am taking steps to rise above her grip.

She's pretty much taken over my dreams as well, but even in those I've started to take back what is mine. A recent dream showed her going down an escalator to a lower floor while I was going up to a higher floor. As I was watching her descend she suddenly disappeared leaving her clothing shell which was then filled by another woman.

This matter has been on my mind a lot, even when we are apart she claws her way in. I just read up on energy vampires and the description fits her to a T. I often wear or carry a lot of protection with me, talismans and crystals which does help a bit, I do pay the price on days I forget to put them on.
I had a mysterious message on my phone this morning from another staffer who said she needed to talk to me away from work. The only thing I could think of was that on Saturday I stood up to the manager and took back my power.
In the shower I decided I needed to cut ties to her past, present and future, when I thought of past a few things popped into mind - Spanish Inquistion was one of them. Past life perhaps. I also did a dagger removal asking for her dagger to be removed from my back, as soon as I did that I noted pain in the side of my neck and realised that she goes for the jugular.

Hey Beloved I know this cant be easy to tackle, If you need to be around this person this is what I recommend...

Deep Breathing to stay grounded and to relax your energy.

Any energy from her that enters your aura is transmuted in positive healing energy

You dont have to take her energy in! Think of white magic here, the stronger your high bright energy of love and compassion shines the less susceptible you will be to her energy.

Smudging your clothes before and after work and taking a bath with lots of soap and candels after work.

I agree with what Chris said. Remember you are always in control. I tend not to like the term 'energy vampire', because I don't think that anyone draws energy from another person, like a vampire (at least not against their will.) So I don't believe in energy vampires, just people who are difficult to deal with, so you lose mental or emotional energy worrying or fretting about them. One way to stop that is to not let them get to you.

That's easy to say, but not so easily done, especially if you're sensitive.

If you are very sensitive, then it may be that you're taking on too much of that person's negativity when you're in contact with them. Overcoming overactive empathy is one solution to get that under control (you can google that to find some articles) so that you can get more distance and not be so affected by their energy.

Another time when people feel like someone is an energy vampire is when the person is crossing the line in some way. Maybe they are saying or doing things that are unacceptable to you, or violate your boundaries in some way. Sometimes very sensitive people can be too subjective about it and instead of standing up to the person and saying that it's not OK, they create shields and put protection around themselves, thinking the person is an energy vampire.

It sounds like you are doing a good job to stand up for yourself though.

Energy vampires are not bothered about boundaries. They are either insensitive to, or disrespectful about boundaries.
So the thing is Be totally strong about where they end and you begin. And don't ALLOW them to trespass on your territory any more than you would let them walk about in your house!
There are lots of visualizations that will help. But the basic underlying principle is DON'T LET THEM WALK INTO YOU! They have no earthly right there. Get mad. (But keep smiling)
That mental attitude will work.
