Psychic Experiences?

When I was in middle school, one of my teachers would give the students a lot of busywork to do. Many times, she gave us word find puzzles to do in class.

What was interesting to me was something that happened each time we were doing word find puzzles in class. A student in the class would find a word, and announce to the class which word they find. Mere seconds later, other students would find the same word, even though the first student to find the word never said where it was and the other students who found the word were not sitting near the first student who found the word.

I still wonder about this phenomenon today. It seems to me that the first student to find the word is somehow sharing his/her thoughts with the other students nearby. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Just last week, I was in the kitchen at work with some other co-workers. Some of the software developers were talking about some technical issue. As they were talking, a thought came into my mind: "the only non-software developer in the room is going to try to make a joke about the technical terms the developers were using." Now, this person I was thinking about generally keeps to herself and I've never heard her make a joke before.

Only a few seconds after I had that thought, she tried to make a joke using some of the terms the developers had used.

It made me wonder. Did I pick up what she was thinking or maybe I even put that thought into her head.

Has anyone had an experience like that?
