Okay.. so I'm new at this. I've been interested in these kind of things for as long as I can remember. But until now I haven't been exploring it and learning about it the way I wanted. This has all changed when I found out about Erin and Steve Pavlina. Now I'm hooked!

I don't know what to start first with. Lucid dreaming, meditating, connecting with my guards...? It's all soooo interesting and I want to do it all at the same time but I kind of think it would be better to just start with one, get a little better at it and then move to the next thing that interests me.
I would really appreciate your experiences, methods and some advice about how and where to start.

Also there's something I don't understand. The article Visualization-Meditation Exercise: Go To Your Room kind of confused me.
I thought that entities can ''attack'' me only in astral world (when I enter their world).
The reason I mentioned this article beacuse in this story The Ghost in the Hall Erin talks about the ghost ''I sensed that this was the entity that accompanied me in the elevator. ''. She also mentioned astral projection here so I'm a bit confused. Is the excercise ''Go to your room'' connected with going astral projection or is it just a way of meditating (meaning it happens all in our mind, our conscience)??

One more thing... The protective light.. When to use it? How to use it? I just now figured out that it also should be used when meditating. That was new to me because meditating, in my mind, was something that can't be ''dangerous'', I thought it is perfectly safe and harmless to ''step into my self'' (for the lack of better words).
I' ve read that if I vibrate at higher frequencies then I don't need to do the step of protecting myself. My opinion is that anyone who is new at this is scared, because it is something new, and therefore an easy pray for those nasty entities...?
Can you describe me your methods of surrounding yourself with white light?

Sorry if this post is to long but as you can see I had couple of q's that are connected with each other so I decided to write one post instead of five.

welcome to the forum . The protective white light, in your mind you visualize white light filling you and all around you . Vislualize the light coming form a point in deep space . In Erins text , "go to your room " is an exercise for deep relaxation , and visualizeing your room. You could visualize your room , parts or your house , or a place you know well , as a point for astral projection . Erin has her own part of this forum , you might post her a question there . Here is a link to a astral projection site , there is a lot of info there also Astral Dynamics • Index page desert rat
