Higher Self/Spirit Guides
 

Hey guys.

When psychics speak about connecting to higher self and spirit guides, do you mean the higher self that is consciousness or do we have a higher self/guides in the "hologram" that helps us? I know its ultimately the same thing but who is it that you're talking to?

Not sure if I phrased this right but my thoughts are all over the place since I got into this subjective reality stuff.

Higher self is basically a role model inside you; it's a part of you that remains from incarnation and can tell you what your best interests are right now and help you along your path. They are different than spirit guides because spirit guides are on the outside.

St33med is essentially correct, they are different.

Higher Self/Expanded Self is your higher awareness. Guides are connected to you and help you follow your path, but are not you.

However, we're ultimately all one energy anyway. :)

So when you ask my higher self to help me along a path, am I the one thats choosing the path and HS helps me along or its chosen by my HS and I'm just living it?

When you guys first got into this stuff, did you think you were going crazy?

I would assume you actually are the higher self.
Your conscious mind is like the tip of an iceberg.

Here is how I see it:
We are all expressions of source, and when we incarnate we leave a piece of ourselves behind, that is our connection to all that is. That is the piece that has all of the knowledge and understanding, the higher self. While your higher self has a plan in mind, you, as in the little you, still have freewill to choose. Your higher self nudges you on that path by way of intution, ‘gut feeling’, messages …
The more connected you are to your higher self and the plan you have set out, the easier your path will be.
IMO

NSS - We are composed of a body and soul, but we also have energetic bodies that have corresponding energetic layers and chakras. The layers are physical, etheric, astral, causal, mental, celestial, christ - 1st through 7th chakras.

The Akashic energy grid that surrounds the planet is composed of 144,000 equidistant points (the ley lines and vortices of this grid create the etheric body of the planet) - at these points are the original 144,000 Christ souls (also mirrored in micro form with the fact that each human soul is comprised of 144,000 light cells).

From the original 144,000, each entity keeps dividing/projecting into other beings which exist in the other levels of consciousness - on the celestial level we are known as OverSouls.

Our Oversoul is that eternal part of us that can project itself into various incarnations. Just like we have the mental, emotional, and physical bodies that are an aspect of being human, the Higher Self is the mental aspect or personality of the Oversoul. When the Higher Self projects into consciousness, it creates a level of angelic beings which become guides for the human experience. (There are also angelic beings not created from this projection, existing seperately and having various roles).

The projection/division of angelic beings creates what are referred to as spirit guides, and the projection/division of spirit guides finally creates what we call the human soul.

Many psychics will speak about the Higher Self as if it's synonymous with the Oversoul. The term spirit guides can be an all inclusive phrase, which can include guides that are angelic, other humans like us, enlightened or ascended masters, and even pan realm guides which are trying to ascend to the human dimension.

Our Oversoul is like the director of the symphony, with each lifetime acting as a musician in the orchestra. When we are "out of tune", the Oversoul gives us a good prompting to help us out. When we are "in the way" of ourselves, it is the conflict contained in the etheric forms of the body and the soul that wants to be released/completed. When we can acknowledge the wisdom of our body without getting too distracted by it's desires, then the Oversoul leads the way as a soul-body team - like a riding a horse with mutual love and understanding.

You are right - prior to incarnating, you as the Oversoul chose a certain path - now you are "on the ride" so to speak. That doesn't mean we are helpless - the less conflict we have the more we can respond at greater levels of consciousness. Hope that helps!
