So I'm in the restroom at work today, and my mind is wandering. For no particular reason an old girlfriend pops into my head and I think fondly of her for a minute. She was actually my first kiss back in my early teens, and I've seen her only sporadically over the years. I hear sounds through the wall as I'm washing my hands - someone is fixing the faucet in the ladies restroom next door. 1/2 an hour later I run into the faucet fixer - he's the BROTHER of the former girlfriend I was thinking about. Whoa. I haven't seen him in over 20 years, and as I'm thinking about his sister for the first time in a long time, he shows up. That was a fun little synchronicity today. I love how strangely and wonderfully the world works. |
