Strange Astral Travel experience...need guidance

Hello Everyone,
I just found this forum looking for help with an experience I had last night.

I have had a handful of astral projections happen before but never anything like this.

I fell asleep around 11:30pm. I woke up unable to move, but soon found I could sit up. I could see into the mirror across from my bed, and see my sleeping self in bed, but not myself sitting up.

I got up out of bed, and took note that everything looked normal in my room, and it was dark, but I could see pretty well.

I walked down the hall way to my living room, when i became aware that there were two male voices conversing quietly. I became frightened and tried to turn on a light switch which I could not do. I could still hear the male voices, but could not make out the words, I could tell they were arguing and that one wanted to harm me and the other was trying to talk him out of it.

I retreated to my bedroom, where i tried to move a number of things, unsuccessfully. I then noticed the knife that I keep on my dresser and tried to pick it up, and was able to. holding the knife I went back down the hall, and floated up to the ceiling. The men, who were seated on the couch next to each other, did not seem to notice me, but I could see their dark shapes. I heard them say my name. I was floating in the corner of the room next to a window and had a uncontrollable urge to flee out the window. I tried to push my way out of the window, but when I tried there was a blinding flash of light and i was pushed back into the room.

At this point I realized the men were two forms of the same person(spirit?), one a positive and the other a negative energy. I did not know this man, nor could I make out any distinct facial features. Holding my knife I dove down toward the negative energy, and a struggle ensued. We fought for a long time, but it ended when i chopped the mans head off. I turned around and the other "man", (the good side I had not killed) was staring at me as if I were a ghost.

Then I snapped awake. Feeling terribly ill. Strained breathing, sore throat, chills. I had felt perfectly healthy when I had gone to bed. The time was 1:30am

I am just looking for clarification on what this might be about, or if any one else has ever fought or killed another entity on a astral level. I can't find any information on it anywhere!

Welcome to the forum . I wounder if that might be a dream , and not astral projection . I have lots of weird dreams , in a few I think I am astral projecting , but I can touch things , feel a fence , pet a dog ect . desert rat

You cannot kill an astral form but you can cause it to switch to another astral level which is out of reach of the previous level.

People can have or can manifest dual forms int he astral world and your mind can cause the manifestation of multi-forms. All this can happen. The fact that the good side of the person did not react and was a bit indifferent means that that negative side of the person was actually based on energies of fear and confrontation in your own mind and the person just did not react to it but the astral energy on that level formulated that double for you to interact with.

I would suggest you study both meditation and astral projection and gradually you can master it and also develop the required discrimination to sort between astral reality and imagination astral doubles as you experienced.

After a beautiful turned unpleasant experience with AP, I resolved to use less force with AP and work to be more receptive. Like Mybeloved, I also suggest meditating on this one. Consider what your goals are and work to find answers about the best ways to achieve those goals.

I also find it odd that you could pick up a knife - desertrat may be on the right track.

Assuming you were conscious and you know you were, this wouldn't be a normal dream. Especially with how you described waking up. One thing I've learned in my vast experiences is not to attack what I perceive to be negative or harmful entities. The result is I feel weaker in the end. For me it is to perceive everything as being a projection of my own consciousness. If I attack, I am attacking my own projection and essentially my own self.

For me when I am lucid while asleep I am usually aware that nothing can really harm me. With this belief I can much more calmly approach entities without fearing them. My goal is one of reconciliation and integration. Don't listen to anyone that teaches you to be afraid of certain things, this only empowers the fearfulness in your projection. The truth is that you are always completely and perfectly safe.

You can pick up objects when APing, but I see where the confusion is coming from because you can walk through doors etc.

In the etheric plane, the objects you see are etheric doubles of physical objects. You were not picking up the physical knife you were picking up the etheric double of a knife assuming a physical one exists. If not, then you were just picking up an etheric knife.

It's normal to be able to interact with your etheric/astral environment during a projection and in no way discounts its validity.
