Hi everyone, I know there are quite a few active psychic developers on this board. I have a blog about psychic development & teach this subject and I have had a few readers and clients asking me how they can measure progress in their intuitive development. Reading other people is one of the easiest ways, so I thought it would be fun and helpful to create this experiment for readers to do. The 'experiment'... I put up a picture of someone many people will not recognize (whose story is sort of in the public domain now) and gave tips to help readers to 'tune in' and see what they pick up around what he's like, and how he died. Here's the picture: ![]() I've had people sending me their results and a few have left comments. If you want to practise using your intuition, why not check out the photo and see what you pick up around the following questions: * What type of person is he? What is his character like? * Do you like him? Why/why not? * What do you think his emotional life was like? * What do you think his life was like? * What kind of things happened to him? * What was his death like? You could leave your impressions here, or in the comments section of my blog or send them to me by email. If you're shy you could just jot down what you get and then check back in a few days when I post some details about the person's life (and death). If you recognize the person and know his story, please don't post his name on my comments or on here, as it's best that the people who are doing the exercise know nothing about him (but feel free to post your impressions!) Ok, I wrote down my impressions... Firstly, I like him alot. He's handsome...I'm attracted to his face and his features. I think he had spanish blood in him? Very bright eyes, denoting a bright intellect. Passionate about his work. I think he was an inventor...possibly a scientist? Not sure how much I am projecting here, but I think that he was sensitive...intuitive and I think he drank alot? I think he led a full life and he discovered something that was to benefit mankind in a significant way? His work was his life...and his romantic life took second place...much to the dismay and dis-satisfaction of many a lady. He had vision...possibly recieved awards? He experienced betrayal from colleagues he looked up to. I get the impression there was a fire? Possibly he died in it...or his work did? |

Ok here is what I think of the man 1 The man is wise and calculative but unpredictable however he doesnt seem to use his intellect for a positive reason. he probably had a rough childhood or youth. the man could talk very sweet and convince people. He has charmed many and misused their trust and decieved them. he has an artistic side to him he was involved with some addictions/ vices or a psychological personality disorder...probably a womaniser? his death doesnt seem to bae a natural one...either he was hunted down or committed a suicide. Anna when are you opening the envelop? |

Ok i will give it a go i'm still very much a novice though so i don't expect too much What type of person is he? What is his character like? He seemed like he could be smug and vindictive, I also get the feeling he was misunderstood and had a kindness to him, I can see him as possibly a teacher or professor * Do you like him? Why/why not? I don’t dislike him, I feel that I know someone like him, I can’t put my finger on it but something about his mannerisms make me think of my husband but I can’t put my finger on what * What do you think his emotional life was like? I think he was schizophrenic or had some ‘mental illness’, but I have no idea where that came from, I feel he had a brilliant mind but paid the price for having it, it’s often said the smartest people are the most insane. I feel he went through a lot of his life trying to overcome what happened to him in the past and struggled. * What do you think his life was like? I think it was hard and challenging, I think he found it difficult to be accepted and strived to be accepted * What kind of things happened to him? Was he abused by a parent? * What was his death like? I got the feeling it wasn’t peaceful, the thought left to die in a gutter came to mind but I don’t think that’s it Not sure how I did, I am still quite a novice really, can’t wait to find out the who and what |

He is not particularly talkative. Very cerebral. Perhaps plays a musical instrument. Very 'refined' tastes. If he is dark, he is dark in private like some obsession, but I think it's a musical obsession. Seems short in stature. His character: he is a doer, very fiery in his pursuits. Very observant. Starts and finishes projects well. Very much a non conformist, sticks out in society. Achievement in his professional life, but his personal life seems sad. Maybe went through some sort of tragedy that he couldn't get over. Very passionate person. - Yes, I like him, but I doubt he would really be talkative if I'd met him. I feel more compassion towards him than like, but I do admire his passion. - Very turbulent emotional life. Hard for him to deal. Focused on his accomplishments as a result. - His life was seen as a success to others, but not so much to himself. - Did he lose his mother and was very hurt by it? Or was she mean? Tumultuous relationships. - His death: illness. Tuberculosis? His respiratory system seems frail. Okay, it felt like I was either just playing with my imagination, tried a little face reading, and I'm pretty sure I got that all wrong. Lol. Great game!

I had a lot of similar impressions. I thought him slyly deceptive, manipulative, able to show himself in multiple lights, but definately not using that ability for good. I sensed a range of emotional extremes. I saw him screaming and throwing his arms in the air, then cowering and sobbing. Thinking of his death, I thought violence and pain. I didn't intuit much about his life path or his childhood - I'd be guessing with thought, not feeling. I'm curious to find out . . .

Sure, I'll give it a try! * What type of person is he? What is his character like? Introverted yet talkative when he knows you won't judge. Says more than he does. * Do you like him? Why/why not? Absolutely, I love him! * What do you think his emotional life was like? He spent a lot of time in his head, often lost in thought. Definitely more emotional than logical. * What do you think his life was like? He was an author who wrote about his struggles through characters. * What kind of things happened to him? Drawing a blank. * What was his death like? Drug overdose. Will be fun to see how far off I was! |

first impression.... my gut kind of sank. in the worst way possible. i narrowed it down to the way he was, maybe there was some extremely negative traits that he had or maybe something that he had done. or he had something terrible happen to him. although i am leading more toward him being the one causing the negative feeling. and for some reason i couldnt look at him for more then a few seconds. as for his emotional life. i want to say it was twisted, not in the norm. very out there compaired to others |

| you're very impatient I just published the results. Here's the link: Results of the Psychic Experiment | Psychic But Sane It was Federico Garcia Lorca, the Spanish poet. PS - if anyone is interested at the end of the article, I've included some more tips for tuning in Last edited by Anna Conlan; 07-31-2010 at 09:19 AM. |

It was great to see that loads of people here got plenty of accurate intuitive hits. Especially the stuff about his death (he was shot) and his artistic temperament. Other accurate symbols were passion, fire and blood. Desertrat - you got what I believe was an intuitive hit too. You wrote about the person whose death helped to set off WW1. Well, Lorca was assasinated too at the beginning of a war (the Spanish Civil War.) ssandra - yours seems very accurate too Last edited by Anna Conlan; 07-31-2010 at 12:34 PM. |

Oh wow. I said he was spanish and fire and passion. How exciting. Thanks anna, that was alot of fun. I mainly worked with just general impressions rather than feelings or such. It was an interesting learning exercise. Last edited by elucidate; 07-31-2010 at 09:58 AM. |

Most of this was accurate and along the right lines. You picked up on the non-comformist side of him, his musical aptitudes (he was apparently a great pianist and guitarist) and studied music at University. You also picked up on his passionate side and his turbulent emotional life. Not sure about his chest, I haven't heard anything along those lines - but maybe you'd have to do some googling on that to see if it comes up with anything...
