Could anyone share pointers on crystal gazing?

Hi All, I hope you are in good health

I just wanted a few pointers and a bit of advice if possible. Over the last week three separate people have told me I should work with clear crystals, one of them said they could see me being adapt with a crystal ball. Funnily enough when I was about 12 I brought my own crystal ball after saving up for months but I could never use it.

My mother in law, who kept it for me when I left the country for a year returned it some days back and tonight I thought I would try it, so I purified it and ‘programmed it’ so to speak, turned off the lights. I spent a while in meditation and then decided to give it ago.

So I place it down on my table with the lights off and gaze, the crystal starts off transparent but becomes, the best way I can but it is filled with mist. A few moments later to my frustration I can’t see it anymore. Now that must sound stupid, but after a few minutes it’s like part of the ball vanishes and everything around me goes kind of out of focus and although I know its there I can’t actually see it any more when I blink I can see it again briefly. I am sure I am doing something wrong, I am not staring at it and I’m not seeing anything, not that I expected much on my first try.

Now I don’t actually know how to crystal gaze, I tend to do everything by instinct and it normally works out, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience working with crystal balls. I intend to stick at it but any pointers, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are other forms of divinanition , tarot cards , tea leafs , ect. Not ever thing works for every one. You might try a mirror , bowl of water , or candle flame . desert rat

Thanks for the advice, i think i will keep trying as that was my first attempt, i was just wondering if anyone on here used crystal gazing and could offer any suggestions, if it is i can't do it then i am fine wth that too but i want to explore the option. I use to do very accurate tarrot readings but moved away from them recently.

Hi. Well its a strange thing my abilities are mostly visual, but I have never had much luck with crystal balls or scrying stones. I have known several people who are not particularly gifted visually do fairly well with these tools. One thing you might want to try is placing candles in various parts of ths room; the idea being that the flames flickering should be visable in the crystal ball. By the way something to remember, DONT PUT YOUR CRYSTAL BALL INTO DIRECT SUNLIGHT YOU COULD BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE. Good luck BB Mike

sounds good the not burning down the house thing. A few years ago I came close to burning down my mentors store that way. BB Mike

The "key" to crystal ball gazing is to be in the alpha brain wave state while you're gazing. It's like your mind has to be very silent and you just wait... while looking at the crystal ball. I know that sounds vague but it's very similar to getting intuitive advice from your spirit guides, where you just clear your mind, ask a question then just wait, in that silent-mind state. Being in this passive state is hard for some people... I keep at it if I were you... don't stop no matter what problems present themselves.

This does take practice and you have to keep at it, it might not work at first... but practice makes perfect.
