can anyone here see light?

I've been to a few meditation classes recently and they were all talking about how light was bouncing off some of the leaders at the class. I'm very curious - who can see light and how do you develop this ability?

A few of the books I've read "Being your higher self" by Sanaya Roman, for example, also talk about light. It's something you can call to yourself, charge yourself with, and radiate to others. Not sure about auras...I'm pretty new to that...

Is it something you are just born with or is it something that you can develop?

That's aura. I've done a few in person readings where people have told me they are blinded by the light coming off me. Personally I can't see it. But apparently once I get going and my energy shifts and my frequency increases, my light gets brighter. I'd love to measure that.

As far as the aura goes, it's not too hard to see with minimal training. The best way to start learning is looking at your hands. I sometimes tell people to notice a touching that occurs before they bring their index fingers close. It is vague at first, but with practice you can build off of it. Also, if you hold your index fingers apart and move them slightly, you can often see a light distortion that joins your two fingers.

I've seen that before on my hands/arms usually at night as I'm about to go to bed or something under lamp light. If you look really, really close you can see both red and green hues swirling and mixing.

If you're interested FlyingMan I have an aura book I did buy a while ago. In it she talked about doing exercises where you can call different frequencies/colors of lights into yourself. Say for example you want to work on feeling more energized.. you would envision red into yourself.

The title of the book is "Change your Aura Change your Life" by Barbara Y. Martin. My theory is many of us can "see" this aura but we don't always know what we're seeing...& I've also gotten to experience a machine where it "reads" your aura & prints out a picture (I believe it is called Kirlian photography or something like that). It was very cool.

I think you can both develop/manifest the ability if you want to. Oh yeah, btw I cannot see auras but my partner can. He sees colors. I've asked him about it. I've seen seen the aura only one time where I was briefly confused because it was so dark I couldn't see the person's face. That was the only time & I realized afterwards I must've seen the aura & I was so shocked I think I actually saw it visually.

I've actually done a brief search on this, and tried a few exercises I found online...the best I can get is a thin white glow, but I'm not sure if it's just a normal thing - I forgot what the medical term for it is, but you know how if you stare at the computer screen long enough and you look away there's an imprint of the screen?

I don't know if it was more or less the same thing..

The reason why I'm asking is because I'm very curious about my aura. I've started going to a few more spiritual gatherings (Brahma Kumaris, a world wide organisation if anyone wants to know)... and I've had some very strange looks from some of the teachers there.

For example, on my first class, the teacher ignored everyone and kept asking me questions as if I was an expert, and I didn't know how to respond, I just said "I honestly don't know, it's my first class." Then we had the center coordinator from Italy (the big boss from there I guess) come down, and when she saw me she had a really stunned look.

I'm guessing it's got something to do with my aura, and I want to know what it is! (either that or I'm just really handsome)

Hopefully it's something good, if I have a bad aura they should have told me something?

lol. That's funny! Umm.. I honestly don't think you can see your own aura in the mirror or anything & honestly I'd be worried for myself in terms of bias both negative/positive. It's kinda like giving yourself a work evaluation.. for me I'd probably over-emphasize my forgetting things & over-emphasize my things perhaps I shouldn't be so positively evaluating.

Anyways! Hmm. You know the machine I mentioned worked pretty well. I mean sure it couldn't see everything but........ it worked for me. I think it was an extension of Kirlian Photography. I think there are a lot of fairs & such that have those kinds of services if you're curious.

If you want an aura reader I recommend Rose Rosetree. She actually read mine via photo & she sells an aura book that tells you how to read auras. I can't critique that as I didn't buy that book (I bought the empathy one) but she was very accurate for me & for other people I was curious in. She'll even read photos of celebrities if you're so inclined. Maybe you'll get an answer though.. from what you're saying you probably have some kind of energy in your aura that indicates a person who is inclined spiritually or perhaps can "see" more than the rest of us. I suspect that from what you've said. & if you're like I was.. you had no clue.. & was both curious/unsure of yourself in those areas so you want to know. I did too. So I can understand if that's where you're coming from.

Well anyways it was at a local Market of sorts when I lived in California. It was in Brea, CA actually & was a sort of way for a yoga studio to reach more people & share what their services were. They had an electronic machine read auras & it was very interesting. & well, it clarified some things for me. They were free too which was a nice bonus. Actually I let some of what they said go to my head but anyways..

Maybe try this. Ask yourself what they were looking at. What is it that causes stunned looks? Pray about it if that resonates with you.. I believe you will get an answer.

This is a little late, but from what I've experienced and from what I've heard you should be able to see your aura in a mirror. There is a lot of debate as to whether aura phenomenon is actually light related or rather a translation of information to a visual presentation. Either way, I've seen it and I've read several accounts of other people being able to see it in a mirror (or TV for that matter).

From my brief experience with reading auras, is is very unlike giving yourself a work evaluation. In a class, the rest of the student body and I were able to recognize recovering illness. It was a sinus infection and showed up as a disruption is the auras form around the nose. This was with minimal practice on our parts. It was there plain as day.

Do you do that in the dark? Is it a normal light, or is it something you see with your "third eye"?

Hey Flying Man you can buy aura glasses that actually tune your eyesight
to the color of the third eye Chakra which is Indigo, a blue purple.I have never tried them but have been told that they do work and are a useful tool for beginners.As for light bouncing off of people I have never seen this phenomena in aura reading but that in no way negates it. My personal take on the Aura is that it is not really light in the sense that most people know it, because although it emanates from organic and inorganic forms it casts no shadows and is really a standing wave.

I have quite a few aura photos. The majority were taken at the end of spiritual festivals where I was doing readings and are similar. But I have a couple taken when I was in a very physical state and another while I was teaching a spiritual class that are quite different. I've done aura readings for a friend who has an aura camera, at festivals, and find it fascinating how very different each person's aura is. I can post a couple on here if it's okay with the moderators if anyone is interested.

I guess the spiritual stuff I've been reading is very different from what everyone is used to as nobody else seems to have heard of light.

I'm reading the Earth Life series, A+ stuff, by Sanaya Roman, who is channeling a guide named Orin.

In it, they state that light is energy that is conscious and comes to us when we call upon it. We can draw light to ourselves to smooth our journeys in life, and we can also draw enough light to ourselves that we start radiating it - like a crystal. His definition of enlightenment is someone who can radiate lots of light - the more you radiate the more enlightened you are!

I am wondering, for those who can see auras, is what you see anything like TFM's images or is there variation involved?

The actual photos are more white than the scanned copies. The white/blue photo was taken after I'd been doing readings all day at Spirit Fest. The white is spiritual presence and the tourqoise/blue is the colour of the frequency my guides vibrate at.
The second one was taken at the end of teaching a spiritual development class and the gold is supposed to represent spiritual knowledge/wisdom. the pink tinges are love from spirit.
I've found the colours in auras vary depending on the frequency the individual is on. Physical chakra colours are more primary. Yellow round the head/throat is thinking or questions. Green blotches are healing and show physical blocks in the energy field. Grey fog around the head is worry. Blue round the throat is something unsaid or that needs saying. Reds/oranges are physical emotional energy. The colours relate to the chakras (energy centres of the body). My own aura colours change with different guides. I very rarely see my own aura (having afriend photograph it periodically is a form of self reflection and confirmation). I get flashes of colour that appear in blinking lights or blobs that run down a wall that lets me know spirit have something to say and who is around me.

I can't help but give into my skeptic and say I could make those photos in photoshop in a couple minutes. Not saying those are fake or doctored, as I have much respect for you Lally, but those don't look like my understanding of auras and I am sure there is an explanation for the color on those photos.

So are you saying that when those photos were taken those people's auras were clearly visible for all to see in the room and if I (a complete sceptic who doesn't even believe in auras) had walked in then I would have seen those people glowing like that?

Because if not, and it is something you need training to see, then how did the camera see them? If people require training to see auras as others have mentioned then how does a camera see them when a camera has no training.
