The aura camera these photos were taken on has been adjusted to give a pretty accurate interpretation of the actual auras we can see. My friend who owns the camera, set it up in aura classes and used the students feedback to make alterations to the colour to get them as authentic as he could. Initially the colours were too strong and he toned them down.
As far as anyone being able to see them, using the third eye to see, is something some people are able to do naturally while others need to be taught. The third eye is like a muscle in our body that we aren't trained to use and will lie dormant until it's activated.
I am not too sure of the technicalities of how the aura camera works. You put your hand on a metal sensing pad at the time the photo is shot and the camera marries the photographic image with the energy reading from the pad (kirlian photography).
I've done many readings from aura photos, for my friend, at spirit fests. The colours and location of colours in the photos can vary dramatically from one person to the next. The last photo TheFlyingMan posted for me was taken after a lot of physical activity and shows the red and orange of the lower chakras.

I'd be interested to hear how the camera was modified though. Simply because modifying a camera to produce weird images (colours, distortions, etc) is obviously not a very difficult thing to do.

But then it wouldn't be an "aura camera" (I don't know if there is a technical term! ) it would just be a "broken camera"!

I've had my photo taken on with a couple of different cameras but most are over coloured. They have more 'wow' factor with the general public but I personally prefer my friend Dean's photo's because they're a more accurate representation of what I see.
